Would like to point out there is another Fixer on the docket competing for that slot, i just forgot to mention you since i was rushing in the morning...unless this is a backhanded way of saying Romanov lost out on that competition.

Nope! I just didn't see it as I was scanning through. Sorry!

I'll look them both over and see who's more fit after discussing with Dead.
@DeadDrop should be enough to judge

edit: tbd. gonna talk with dead. :) still nice app though.

Love it. Badass rockergirl looking to make the extra buck.

@DeadDrop@tfd I was thinking earlier, how will combat and character deaths work in this? It seems like the domain that integration of the tabletop mechanics may work, since it would add that factor of there being very real danger of your character snuffing it, but that might be tricky to manage. I assume it will be GM controlled? Since its unlikely anyone will voluntarily kill off their character.

Combat will work like this. In the event that individuals or the entire group gets into combat, we will pull people into the situation and it will become a turn order. Attacker goes first, then defender, unless the defender expects the attacker or has more reflexes because they're cybered up. It'll be our discretion. Once all actions on the player's side is done, we say the results and the enemy movement and actions.

Death is very real in cyberpunk. Fortunately, we like to have fun and let people enjoy the roleplay and their characters, so don't expect death day one. However, do expect death if you deserve it. An example of deserved death, soloing a cybered up ganger with a minigun screaming at the top of his lungs, "DIE, DIE, DIE". That's a warranted death if you do not survive. Any death we rule is just is just, but do know we're sensible with how we do things.

As for deaths themselves... If you're dead, you're dead. Don't think to lose your head means that you're dead, because TraumaTeam has got you covered! If your corpse is still left behind, and you're somewhat salvageable, the world of cyberpunk is here to save you within reason and at a price. A big one.

If you're wondering the "if I die, am I out of the roleplay" shtick... I think we'll deal with it case by case, but you'll probably be free to reapply back into the universe once we deem it okay to do so.

Makes sense? If you have any questions, ask away.
I'm not sure what my character will be yet but it will be something with guns. Furthermore to the GMs, my character will be connected to @Lonewolf685 and @KoL's characters and vice versa.

Completely fine. Take all the time you need. If you're looking for a character that specializes with guns and is a gun-nut, solo might be for you. Refer to what I said prior.

Ok, do you mind if I classify him as solo? You can opt for cop or solo but the backstory sorta sticks to solo from what I see. The differences in roles determine some behind the scenes stuff.

<Snipped quote by TheWindel>

No prob :)

To clarify what he means, a cop is someone who's currently standing in the force. Rogue cops exist, but you're still under the binds of the force.

Solos are anyones who range from guns for hire all the way to professional hitmen.

Your average joe is a solo, because it's the only line of work he can get that's steadily available in this world.

Your solos who are in the career long-term are people who love it like a sport. It's a thrill, and there's constantly business.
I mainly went with the sovietarm because the standard cyberarm was a full 2000, and seeing as that's literally our entire budget, I decided to go with a cheaper alternative.

Makes sense. Just remember if something's cheaper, it's usually that way because it's not as good. I like it for your character though. Neo-Soviet equipment dropped onto the blackmarket and sold off until it reached you.

@tfd

I don't begrudge your use of Ghosting, given I don't much want to have my online status always available for viewing, but given that you have only 2 Posts in 2 days and are the Co-GM here, I wanted to ask about how active you are and if you and Dead Drop are communicating outside the OOC.

This isn't a criticism of your competence. From what we've seen your verbose, informative, and do wonders in clearing up some of the more confusing elements here. I'm just concerned how much of a presence you'll have as Co-GM.

I'm as active as I'm needed/as active as I can be. Where Drop isn't as crippled to post, I am, as I have other things I do. I can promise you that after this week, you'll be seeing more of me. Don't worry though, there's two of us for a reason.

I do communicate with Drop outside of this forums, yes. We are good friends.

To end off, I'll have as much presence I'm needed here. Whether it be writing up the story/event, or cracking out various things I'm asked to do.

You have every right to ask questions, don't worry ^^

@tfd

He's kind a mix between a solo and a Media. I would classify him as a Media. The idea I had is he works for the Gang, but very undercover like. So, like you said in the Interest check he is going to be their rat. They keep his identity very much need to know due to him usually finding out information about Corporations or People that are very incriminating. If they knew who he was they would just send out a solo to come kill him. He was put on this path due to the lose of his wife from a corporation doing some shady things and end up with him out of the job.

No one knows really who he is besides the Gang Boss, which is why the character sheet is put as if they are questioning some Rat and him not sure what to say. Since his actual background is so illusive. Obviously the info that was told is true, due to me actually taking the time to write it, but IC wise no one is truly sure(save for the boss).

Gotcha. I rememeber this now, just wanted to clarify everything before we kick it off and you're left in a bad spot because of our mistakes. Thanks!
Haha sorry I was looking at a completely different book. I didn't even remember this one. Cheers.

Soviet arm sounds badass. Just gives me a Bucky vibe. Everyone I've seen so far is a-okay. I love all of the characters :)

snip!

Almost forgot to edit this one in. I like it and everything about it. The only part that confused me was whether or not you're a corporate or a netrunner, but I'll just assume you're a rich background netrunner. Just remember as a netrunner, your job is more hacking and existing within the virtual world, so try not to play as corporate as 'hacker-hacker-hehexd'.

So this is what I have so far. I haven't gone through the reading in great depth so I can almost guarantee there's a whole tonne of inconsistencies with the lore and errors that will need correcting. I wasn't sure how to tie his story together and bring him into the gang so any advice on that would be very welcome. Of course criticism is welcome, I can change whatever needs to be changed. Once I've nailed down the character I'll work out all his augmentations and armaments etc.

I like it. A lot. Just so you know, you being a ripperdoc basically means you need a way to install things yourself. Whether it be extremely painful surgery that could potentially kill someone or an AutoDoc that puts that stuff together for you; albeit, painful, Autodocs are still a lot shorter time. In the future, you'll be asked to detail more on what you're doing, but not to the level where we want you to explain every step if you can not. Med-techs are the geniuses behind putting two things together and wondering, "how do we get that on a human?" You'll have a lot of fun with it, I'm sure. Just remember that you'll literally the one way people can get beefy cyber. Of course, there's competition, but hospitals are not very fond of installing weapons into you, so the ripperdocs feed on those that will pay a pretty penny.

Other than that, med-techs are medics at heart, so don't be afraid to fix up any wounded at your leisure.

Still a WIP, but most of the stuff is there! Read it with a 40's Brooklyn Greaser accent or a Italian Mafia voice for full effect.

Forgive me if this sounds stupid, but I'm gonna need you to straight up tell me what your character "is" because the story you've written is so "based on rumors" that not even the GM can decipher what you are ^^

In short, I just need your role in the group. I wasn't sure if you're an average joe solo, but that's the impression I got.

Looks perfect but I'm gonna ask about [*]Soviet Cyberarm - 669 because I don't see that anywhere in the links we provided. Feel free to correct me because I probably just don't see it.
Could be interesting. If I had an idea about an ex-netrunner that turned corporate, would that work? Basically used her skill to infiltrate corporate system and blackmail people in power to hire her for net security. Did this enough to hire other tech specialists and ultimately start her own corporation. Has a lot of enemies but most of them are kept in check by the fact she sits on a death switch revealing all the secrets she gathered if she's killed.

I'd play antagonist but I get this may not be what you're looking for. So maybe an unwilling member? The person that gets the crew in corporate sectors and hacks unwillingly because the crew has dirt on her?

Hi! We're glad you're interested. In short, the idea of the net runner sounds great! Remember that you're starting a little smaller than mega-corporation at your fingertips, so a backstory is okay, but a start-up with "get out jail free cards" as soon as you start the game is a big no-no. I think I'd like to see an unwilling member rather than an antagonists, as antagonists are reserved for us as GMs in order to create the atmosphere in our vision, and not risk botching it because of miscommunication or failure to oblige to the correct instructions. It's not to say you can't be up to our standards, it's to say we're not ready to give someone reigns yet until we know them.

To detail more on the other idea (which I think is absolutely brilliant), you'd be a recruited net-runner that was dug up from an outside source that managed to essentially doxx you and has amassed an amount of evidence that would ruin your life; because of that, you're forced into the gang life, sentenced to the desk you're ever so familiar with. Let me know how you think that sounds.

Intrested!

Thinking of my dude being the Media, but isn't just the average reporter. Working for a more anonymous group that finds the corruption and terrible scandals of corporations, officials, government, etc. He goes in deep in his field. Sort of like a spy, doing whatever it take to get the job done and a story told.

We're glad you're interested! As far as the media goes, that's exactly what a media can be! Medias in this world have become this leaker and exposer of the world that serves as the truth of the people, or even a huge liar to distort what actually happened. (because believe me people don't even think 9/11 happened anymore because of medias)

In short, you'd be the gang's own rat, digging up info on whatever he can so he can report it not only to the boss, but earn recognition with big time news teams by providing them with information and taking down other gangs through espionage. Let me know what you think!

I'd be interested in playing a fixer or techie character. I can't say I know an awful lot, or anything really, about the universe however.

We're glad you're interested. We'll provide you with any source material you need to kind of get explained to the lore if you'd like! Feel free to shoot myself or Deaddrop a pm and we can detail anything you'd like!

I'm intrigued, and loving the concept of a rockergirl. Definitely willing to be a part of this!

We can't wait! A rockergirl is definitely something cool that you don't see often in groups, simply because people are just wanting action. Kudos to you for wanting a role as awesome as that!
