Monetary System and information

Stellar Credits [SC]

Stellar Credits (SC) are a universal monetary system designed to facilitate interstellar trade and economic transactions throughout the universe. It is the primary medium of exchange for transactions between various civilizations, species, and spacefaring entities, providing a standardized unit of value across the vast expanse of the galaxy.

Forms: Stellar Credits can be obtained in both physical and digital form. Physical credits are represented by intricate, holographic, and nanotechnology-enhanced coins and notes, whereas digital credits are stored in secure quantum-encrypted wallets accessible via advanced personal devices.

The starting wage can be one stellar credit per hour.

Skilled and specialized laborers can earn between 10 and 100 SC per hour.

Professionals (educated) can earn anywhere from 100 to 500 SC per hour. Some societies do participate in annual wages, and these individuals live at least comfortably or slightly better in their society's monetary ranking.

Individuals with higher-ranking roles in society, such as leadership positions, can earn between 500 and 1000 SC per hour. Certain societies have annual wages for these individuals as well, though the majority of society believes that these individuals make too much money.

Interstellar traders and merchants are compensated by commissions or successful transactions, which can range from a few simple SC to thousands of SC per transaction.

The System of Cost

Currently, the system is harsh in terms of item pricing, particularly for lower-income households.

A loaf of bread or basic ration can cost 5 to 10 SC.

A meal at a common restaurant or food vendor can cost up to 50 SC.

Quality or special foods (chocolate, alcohol, certain spices, and more) can go from 50 to hundreds of SC per item.

Fine dining can be a few hundred to thousands of SC per person.

Food services in Space Stations Or Orbital Habitats are higher than they are on planets or places with direct food contact. For a standard meal, it can cost anywhere from 50 to a few hundred SC each.

Imported or exotic foods do not go under a few hundred credits and can be over a thousand credits per item.

The story unfolds in the vast expanse of "Ecoven," amidst a diverse array of sentient life that extends far beyond the confines of the human experience. Players are encouraged to step outside of their comfort zone and embrace the extraordinary tapestry of the unknown. Notes
- If your character is from an alien race, include as much information as possible in their biograph or create a hider that better explains the race as a whole.

- If you are going to use a pre-made race, you may link a race from a sci-fi or similar theme.

- The GM will review all races and either approve or deny them.

Insight on Technology

Ecoven has a wide range of technology, and here are some of the more advanced levels of technology that characters may come across, hear about, or understand for themselves.

Interstellar Exploration
Spacecrafts with lifeforms inside can travel between star systems using advanced propulsion systems, such as warp drives, hyper lanes, or wormholes, for efficient and rapid exploration of the cosmos.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics
Advanced robotic technologies coexist with highly sophisticated artificial intelligence capable of complex problem-solving, learning, and adaptation. Androids, drones, and sentient machines all play important roles in society.

Energy Sources
Civilizations are powered by revolutionary energy sources such as zero-point energy, antimatter reactors, and advanced fusion. These sources provide abundant and sustainable energy for planetary and space applications.

Nanotechnology - Limited access
Nanobots and nanomachines are widely used, enabling precise medical interventions, advanced manufacturing processes, and even the development of self-replicating materials.

Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering - Limited access
Genetic manipulation and biotechnological advances have resulted in the development of enhanced organisms, medical breakthroughs, and the possibility of customized traits in sentient beings.

Virtual and Augmented Reality - Rare access (academy or certain planets)
Advanced virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies provide immersive experiences for entertainment, education, and simulations, blurring the digital and physical worlds.

Advanced Materials
Metamaterials and programmable matter are examples of materials with unusual properties. These materials help to build strong structures, adaptable clothing, and cutting-edge weaponry.

Teleportation and Telecommunication - rare access
The concept of distance within the universe is being redefined by instantaneous teleportation of objects and individuals, as well as advanced communication technologies such as quantum entanglement communication.

Medical Advancements
Advanced nanomedicine, regenerative treatments, and cybernetic enhancements are among the medical technologies that significantly extend lifespans and improve overall health.

Environmental Manipulation
Climate manipulation, terraforming, and atmospheric engineering, among other technologies capable of controlling and modifying planetary environments, are being used for colonization and resource utilization.

Megastructures
The ability to harness and manipulate the resources of entire star systems is demonstrated by the construction of colossal structures such as Dyson spheres, orbital habitats, and ring-worlds.

OOC Rules

1. Follow already established community guidelines

2. Respect
Treat other players with respect and courtesy.

If conflicts arise, address them calmly and maturely. Seek resolution through private messages or the help of the GM.

3. Consent and Communication
Always seek and obtain consent from other players before involving their characters in significant or potentially sensitive storylines. Respect boundaries.

Maintain open and clear communication with fellow players. Discuss expectations, preferences, and potential issues to prevent misunderstandings.

4. No Metagaming
Avoid using out-of-character knowledge to influence in-character decisions. Separate player knowledge from character knowledge to maintain the integrity of the story.

5. Respect Posting Order
There will be no set posting order, but please allow at least one PC or NPC post in between each one.

IC Guidelines

1. Respect the Setting
Adhere to the established lore and setting of the roleplay. Avoid introducing elements that contradict the established world unless discussed and agreed upon with the group. Include GM approval for any updates to a character's biography or introducing new elements into the role-play.

2. No Auto-Hitting or God-Modding
Avoid controlling the outcomes of actions involving other characters. Allow for uncertainties and allow players the opportunity to respond.

3. Consequences of Actions
Acknowledge the consequences of your character's actions, whether positive or negative. This adds realism and depth to the unfolding story.

4. No Power Gaming
Avoid controlling other players' characters, overpowering your character without justification, or attempting to "win" at the expense of others' enjoyment.

Character Biography Guidelines

There will always be more things that people want to add or change for their character(s). When it comes to taking things out versus putting things in, I'll start with a warning: if you've already established something in character (especially with other PCs), you may not take it out of the role-play.

Characters will be able to learn new things and gain new knowledge through academic investments, learning from another character, or whatever is discussed and approved by the GM. This means that your character can gain additional skills. New skills will not be "given" to characters, but rather earned by them as the story progresses.

Character sheets are not required to be set up in any way, but they should include the following elements:
- Name
- Race
- Physical description (with or without a visual reference)
- Other basics are optional
- Role Description
A character role description describes what and who your character is. What are they up to with the crew? Do they know anything or were they duped? Are they undergoing training? How can they help or benefit the rest of the group? Perhaps they aren't and will never be truly beneficial.
- A little about them
Give us a brief description of this person's personality. Do they have a preference? What languages do they understand? What would most people notice them doing if they weren't obligated to do anything? A general description of their personality and quirks.
- Racial Abilities and Descriptions
Describe your extraterrestrial life form here if you're playing one. What can they or cannot they do? Are they more powerful than a regular human? Can they breathe oxygen? Add their abilities, effects, and what problems it causes them.

If you're playing a regular human or a humanoid (cyborg), you can still fill in this section by explaining allergens, fears, or what they're good at aside from their role skills!
- Everything else is entirely optional. In the character biography, include the most important and well-known facts about your character. For example, if they attended a flight academy or a four-year engineering university. A lot will be revealed IC, so not everything needs to be said in the character biography.

This will be a small to big group role-play with easy access to leave and rejoin, allowing for a continuous journey. Crews, like missions and stakes, can change at any time! The role-play will take place in a futuristic sci-fi setting that will allow the crew to travel through space. Individuals will be able to put planets, species, races, and more into the universe with admin approval to keep the engagement of this role-play in and out of character!

The idea of what the crew will be!?

With the "leader" or "captain" or whatever title one would like to give Kalrith Soreden, every member of the crew will find themselves in a difficult situation. It's possible that this man deceived you, prevailed, gambled you into debt under him, or you freely chose to sign the contract he offered you. When it comes to earning money, he is renowned for paying the highest rates. In contrast to other businessmen who essentially turn you into a slave. Even though he may not be superior, he always keeps his word and pays five times the rate of anyone else. How did you become a member of this man's crew and a part of his twisted game of work?

Following the signing of the contract, your first mission may have felt like hitting a brick wall because you realized you made a mistake with the small signature you provided, or it may be your first mission altogether. How long have you been controlled by the man referred to as the "Devil"?

This will be a very environmentally intensive role-play for people to interact in what is known as "Ecoven" which will drive folks on epic journeys, crazy goose chases, and emotional endeavors for prosperity. In-character scenarios will be interactive, with actions having consequences based on what characters choose to do. @Zapdos@Expendable I'm hoping there will be more interest shown for this interest check. If there isn't too much current interest, I will debate bringing up the OOC sometime this upcoming week. Maybe that will help bring interest because it will have more information to it.

An adventure in a sci-fi setting

I have a race I used from time to time called the Valkyrii.

They're clones, always female, produced inside cloning units called "Mothers", accelerated to a biological age of 16 (expected life span of 60 years). Each comes out trained to be an infantry soldier. They're also uniquely telepathic in that they can only communicate with one-another. Only a few are born each cycle able to reach an alien mind through touch-contact. For other races, it's like listening to static when they try to communicate with a Valkyrii. They also have a small pair of wings on their back, utterly useless in anything over 33% of standard gravity.

The planet is poor, so their only exports are mercenary units and Zero-G construction battalions. When they're older, having completed their service requirements, may ask for the right to fly (explore).

Biologically, they're very close to Human (standard), and can eat rations safe for humans. TravelRation and Searres Human rations are fine.

I do not see any problem with you using this race from the above information. I think it'll be an interesting character and race addition to the role-play. This will be an episodic form of role-play (mission-to-mission and mission-to-downtime type of deal) which will allow all characters to be put into positions that benefit them or strain them. The characters will definitely be running into places/planets that might have barely any gravity which will be fun for the character.

Added note to interest check

Individuals who participate in this role-playing can create races, species, and more to add their own twists to this futuristic sci-fi adventure, as I briefly described. A great deal of geographical space is known and discovered on this plane of existence, but much more about the rest of the galaxy is unknown.

Having said that, the character(s) do not have to be human at all. It makes no difference to me whether the entire crew is human or if there is only one human on the crew. Because of the vastness of the universe and the number of planets scattered throughout the solar system, I want to give the character(s) a wide range of freedom.

That means there will be racial abilities that cause individuals to "out-weigh" others in terms of abilities. This isn't to say that those characters are any better or worse than someone who knows how to fix the engine on the spaceship, read the statistics window of planets, or make sure the crew doesn't get lost on a planet that hasn't been explored on foot. When it comes to being useful, racial abilities isn't everything.
