Jakob woke up startled as the loud sound of battle sirens began to ring in his holding cell. He rolled over and put his head under his pillow. He didn't want any of it today. With just a thought the sounds of the sirens were muted from his ears. "They already lock me up in this 8x8 room, those lazy fucks can't just walk here and get me?" Jakob thought, before taking the pillow off and resuming his normal sleep. Maybe he got another minute in, but it felt just like a second before his Father barged in his room.
"Come on you! We got a job to do you know. We both know what will happen if you start skipping distress calls..."
Jakob sighed and reluctantly got off his bed. He dropped himself in his wheel chair and followed his father to his arming pod. The metal egg shape object opened up as they arrived. It let of whizzes and steam as it prepared to install Jakob's legs and armor. He crawled in and prepared himself for the procedure. With a just a few button presses in the pod, the machine began to sync his armor with his body. Turning Jakob into the Grey Ghost.
~Thirty Minutes Later~
"That's some bullshit pop! You woke me up to handle a alien walking turtle!?" Jakob scolded through the Comm-link. It came out somewhat distorted due to the noise the helicopter propellers were producing above Ghost's Head.
"Whats wrong with you? You should be happy! You're out here to save people! Just remember we didn't create you to sit around all day."
"Because I asked to be born right? Ghost out." Ghost cut of the transmission within his helmet and turned back to see someone new. He usually had Bob here that gave him his weapons and briefing, but this wasn't him. This one looked younger, missing the giant physique and thick beard Bob had. He must be the new guy! I guess he would have to go through the initiation process as well. "Hey new guy, thanks for the help! Could you hand me the parachute right there?" While the new guy reached down and grabbed the parachute, Jakob slipped and fell back, right off the helicopter. The new guy reached out to try to catch him, but he was too slow, Jakob was plummeting down to City K. Jakob released a cry of fear and began screaming for his life as he fell to his death.
As the helicopter became nothing, but a black dot, Jakob stopped the act and began to laugh uncontrollably. The look on that guy's face was absolutely priceless. He couldn't imagine what was running through the new guy's mind, but it was probably funny as hell! This laughter continued all the way until he belly flopped into a parked truck. In his laughter he forgot to plan his landing. Laying in his new formed crater, people began to run past him. With a grunt he got off the broken truck and on to his feet. He was then welcomed by his armor's system.
>Damage received to chest plate. Estimating damage... Armor integrity at 87% >Dipshit located... 237 meters North West >Mission: Eliminate the Dipshit >Priority: Save Civilians at all costs
Jakob let off a chuckle at his work. Hacking into his system and changing the text from "Target" to "Dipshit" was almost too easy. Good think it didn't mess with anything else. Due to where all the screaming was coming from, it seems the system was still working. With a stretch of his arms and back, he began to walk and meet the opponent. It only took a few minutes to arrive and see a Giant Dragon attacking something. That wasn't a turtle like in the pictures.
Even with his black hair, the rest of Jakob's pigment is grey. Neck down his whole body is riddled with scars from multiple augmentation ports and receivers designed for his Armor. The most notable feature in this sickly looking man, both his legs have been taken away from under the knees. When he is "recharging" seems to be the only time he is missing his legs. Now only two short rods stick a foot out.
Name:Jakob (AKA Grey Ghost) Personality: Jakob is usually a quiet individual. Looking around on how others act and interact with each other, rather then doing it himself. Not to say he does it on purpose, it was just always hard connecting with actual people, especially when to other Hero's. When forced into a situation he cannot get out without embarrassing himself, Jakob is quite nice to talk too. With his softer voice and relaxed attitude on almost all thing, most people don't mind his company. After awhile he eventually will leave his shell and his true personality will show.
As Ghost, Jakob takes a whole new personality. Becoming "wacky" and not serious at all. He is noticeably more outgoing and generally doesn't hold a opinion or care for anything.
Brief History: Ghost was a cyborg created with help of the Government and The Hero Association. His existence wasn't a project to create the strongest Hero, but to see if they even could. Since his "birth" Ghost was just a normal human and as a kid he received several hundred surgeries and procedures to fit his body for the armor he wears now. By the age of 4 he barley looked human at all, at that point he had turned to a cyborg. While he had barley made past 5 years of life, he was already a fully grown man due to the augmentations to his embryo.
While they originally decided to kill him off and make a attempt to actually create the strongest Hero, his "Father", the lead scientist that created Ghost, made a series of test to prove his creations work. Of course Ghost proved to be quite an effective weapon and was kept alive and is now apart of the The Hero Association.
-Gungir Cybernetic Power Armor: Created by the Government years ago. While other Heros were born some sort of powers, technically has non. He gets his "powers" from special Power Armor that was never possible with normal Humans. Increasing his speed and strength to super human levels, while also providing armor plating. The core the fuels the power is similar to Nuclear reactor. While it can continue to push him harder it also can overheat and then self destruct in a extremely dangerous explosion. -Gungnir Smart Helm: The pressurized helmet of the GUNGIR power armor gives Ghost with a supply of information in realtime. It also provides different visions such as Night vision, Xray, heat and able to translate his voice to any language. -Gungnir Ghost Cloak: The reason the title "Ghost" was given to Jakob is due to the suit's advanced stealth camouflage technology that is capable of rendering the user virtually invisible to the naked eye. Any small object that comes within contact of the suit also takes the ability, but too many items reduce the overall quality of the cloak and can overload the device. It is meant to be used in short burst of a few seconds to a minute max, any longer can possibly overload the device.
A automatic hand gun chambered in 460 S&W Mag. This specific pistol can only be fired when in the hands of Ghost and has a "auto Target" that will lock on to a target that has been seen by Ghost.
-Pneumatic Punches: Each Knuckle in Jakob's fist contains a micro piston that shoots forward just a few centimeters when ever they make contact, causing punches from his fist to be more brutal. The faster the fist is rushing to the target or vise versa causes harder hits due to the rushing air. -Forearm Blades: Diamond pieces, sharpened and wrapped in titanium fiber. Placed on the forearm, retractable and detachable when needed.
Possible Goals?: Continue to prove his worth or otherwise be terminated by his creators.
I'd join, but I just hate the idea of starting out as a Genin. We all know this is not going to be a 6 month Rp. The one this came from didn't last a week. So why cripple us. To me its like "Look at all this cool stuff and you can barley do anything lol" Now it makes sense for progression, but I see that only for things that don't have established lore or is a original RP idea. Since all this established things are invented already, the RP should focus more on our actions and character interaction more than just pushing through to be able to get a B rank technique.
Also pvp is so hard to do. It always ends up so bad, unless GM is using dice and we have a one/two move restriction of attack/defend/Balanced that effect the dice roll. Even if we are not all even, luck and bad decisions will still let a Genin wreck a Junnin. The only thing techniques of skill should change is the damge done IF hit and the range of it.
Hey Im back. So if you guys are still taking chars here it is not. If not then never mind... Also this char is almost a copy paste from another hero RP, so it merely a coincidence he holds similarity to a char from the actual show.
