Mending his broken ribs felt twice as painful as that of actually breaking it, Nicholas made a mental note of that and considered it as a lesson's learned. Well, much of it accounts to his carelessness. If only he just stuck to the plan none of it would have happened. As always, he has this sense of leading the group, and the drive of taking control, which apparently turned out a big mistake here. He was clearly acting out of his own selfishness without considering the results of his actions, and he was deeply sorry for it. He knew that if it wasnt for his fellow campers to save his sorry ass, he might be serving Hades by now, or worst, him, along with a few friends. He was just greatful it didn't happen.
After reporting to Chiron, who took everything as calmly as he always have, Nicholas said thanks to Michael, and the rest of the group as they return to their own cabins that nights. Sleep didnt come to him as quickly as he needed it to, despite the exhaustion and his injuries and everything. He just laid there for hours, contemplating about his day while he stares at the intricately carved symbol of his mother (a crescent moon cradling a five pointed star) upon the wooden ceiling of his cabin. Hecate used to visit him in his dreams, sometimes just to talk to him, but most of the time to teach him about the arts found in the black book left by his father. She hasnt visited him in a long while which bothers him a little.
Mum? Are you there? If you're listening, please give me a sign. Nicholas prayed silently. He waited for something to happen, but after awhile he decided if she wanted to come visit him, she will at her own time. Nicholas tossed and turned in his bunk for another hour, having half a mind of visiting Hypno's Cabin to ask for a sleeping pill or something when he saw the five pointed start in the ceiling started to give off a faint fiery glow, it remained like that for a while and then slowly faded out completely.
That night, Nicholas fell asleep, waiting for a dream that never came, and feeling a bit more worried.
Its Capture the Flag, and it feels like his head's about to crack. It was bad enough that he hasnt slept that well last night, and now it feels like he has all the migrane in the world. But that's nothing he cant manage to ignore right now. He decided he has to make up for his actions last night, and will be actually contributing something good and beneficial to the group. Nicholas willed himself to concentrate on the subject at hand, listening eagerly to Reagan's plan. It's only sensible that she takes charge, since she knows her thing when it comes to combat strategies. And Nicholas has come to trust her decidions.
He volunteered to defend the flag with Billy and Leo, but they will need to be on a different hiding place otherwise one or all of them might fall asleep. But as far as the plan goes, they need to be in an approximate range where they can still work together. Nicholas waited in his bush, waiting for the signal. He took a glance towards where Billy is hiding, and then to the flag that's just by the clearing in plain view. He began to rub the golden paper clip between his thumb and index finger, anticipating for the other team.
