Yay, posted! :D

BTW, 123 has altered his first post, showing who the accepted characters are. I compiled the list, so it's easy to find for everyone. Just put names, God parents, and weapons....didn't bother with all the rest of the bios.
A good idea is to also put links into them, just in case people need to go back to read certain things or remember other things.
Or when someone makes a significant change in their CS, all that fun stuff. If you need help, just remember that there's a 'permalink' button at the top right of every post. Clicking that will take you to the post, but will also change the url, so that any links you make using it reverts the user back to that particular post. ^^ If that... made any sense, at all...
If you don't want to read all the stuff I wrote because I rambled a lot and probably don't even make sense, there's a simpler, easier to read and understand version at the bottom. It starts at the bolded TL;DR.
And, to uh, explain Dover's powers before things get heated: it's large mix of the psychological and biological aspect of attraction. If there's already something there, he can amplify the feeling to its apex, which is a lot easier to do and takes no energy whatsoever. But, that's rare, though he has a kind of...sight, or inherent knowledge of a person's desires and whether they're emotional, physical, or both by noticing particular cues, literally smelling the pheromones they emit and the hormones that race through their body, heart rate, all that awesome stuff. He can notice that in a split second; it's the first thing he sees in a person. He can also induce attraction that's not there, by mentally changing how someone views another person, as well as taking control of the functions in their body that increase arousal; he's a walking aphrodisiac. Depending on the person, it may last a long time or a really short time and the degrees of attraction vary depending on the mental stability of the individual. As well, sexual orientation only factors into how easy it is to create and push forward the sexual attraction. Going deeper into that, it takes less energy and is relatively easier to imprint a heterosexual male onto a female (regardless of her orientation) and vice versa, but relatively more taxing and difficult to attract him to a male. The same goes for those of homosexual orientation. Bisexual and Pansexual targets are extremely easy to manipulate and charm.
I'm not going into Dover's particular sexuality; you'll have to guess, mwuahaha.
In battle, it's just a tad different, but not necessarily. It's kind of easier, since most people are hyped up on adrenaline and already secreting so many hormones and their odor, all that good stuff, but only in the sense that, if he's not in the heat of battle. It takes focus to charm an individual, to manipulate their desires. He can cause a lot of infighting this way by simply twisting a desire only slightly, but it does depend on the individual, as well. But, he has control over anything concerning loveāthe entire spectrum. Jealousy, romantic, platonic, unconditional, obsession, etc. And it just requires different tweaks, mentally, different pheromones emitted at different times. But, he doesn't have full control, meaning he's totally reliant on the individual's mentality and will and can only effect a few number of people consciously, if he's directly influencing them. It takes a lot more energy, but he can also create a kind of singularity, where he chooses an individual to be the object of people's affection, should they be within range. As long as it's a living being, then he can emit a special kind of pheromone from one person, including himself, that surrounds them. He's not too powerful, so it's a rather small area, but it makes it nearly impossible to approach them without falling head over heals, both literally and metaphorically. Depending on the people affected, it can initiate a whole lot of effects, from being completely frozen in awe, to jealous rage, and a lot more.
There are, however, a few people who are unaffected and some who are just better suited to combating it. Children of Artemis and Hera, because of the fact that Artemis is the Virgin Goddess and Hera is the Goddess of Marriage... and because there are practically none, can't be charmed or swayed by another's pheromones. They can, however, be overcome by a sense of euphoria and have their senses practically overloaded, but that's a lot more difficult to do and takes more energy. As well, Children of Athena are less affected due to their hardy will and mental capacity. Children of Zeus, Hephaestus, and Ares are extremely susceptible to being charmed and manipulated due to their parent's... uh... lack of sexual restraint. Children of Hephaestus are particularly easy to imbue jealousy in.
But, we aren't primarily going to fight each other @_@ but, it's a just in case deal... since Luke is a butt. Bestial monsters and monsters who have a predisposition for seducing their prey are easily manipulated in certain ways, bestial monsters are susceptible to succumbing to their carnal desires, whilst beasts of seduction (Sirens, Lamia, Empousei, etc) can have their spells broken, which, in turn, stuns them long enough for the victim to regain composure and fight back.
It's also easy to sense people through smell, due to the natural pheromones they emit, or to visibly be able to see a cloud of a person running around. It's not an on and off thing, sadly, but it's heightened in battle and can be suppressed outside of battle.
TL;DR: To put it in simpler terms, uh... he practically has pheromone manipulation and can manipulate the desires of a person, even monsters to certain degree. He can sense pheromones and the non-visible things that humans emit through sight and smell. Can overload a person's senses by washing them in a short-term sense of euphoria (a pleasure high), as well as just overloading them in general with their own pheromones. Can break seduction spells. Cause infighting among people over the love of another. Can overproduce someone's pheromones to coat an area around them and practically make it to the point where it's very hard to resist the targeted individual (causes a multitude of effects, depending on the person). Is affected by an individual's mental capacity and strength of will (harder to affect Kids of Athena; easier to affect Kids of Zeus, Ares, and Hephaestus; Children of Artemis and Hera are only immune to being charmed, but are affected by most everything else Dover can do, though it's generally more difficult to do so to them). Attraction isn't just sexual and covers an entire base and range of the variety of love. Sexuality is just the most effective in battle. His powers are not limited to, but are affected by a person's sexuality, e.g. men into men are easier manipulated into being attracted to a male; harder to be attracted to a female.
That's sooper rough, but it's a basic concept of what he can do. Again, like everyone else, he's limited to his experience with it and can only do certain things a certain number of times or to a certain extent. Dunno if I put enough thought into it. >_> But, that's it.
It takes time and focus to nurture the love and desire in a person. That's the long-term, the thing that'll last forever. In battle, it's a much, much shorter duration and either his enemies tire themselves out due to jealous infighting, or they recover and are only moderately weary and hurt. Anything in battle has a short duration, but takes less time and more energy upfront to do it. There's no room for being vindictive and overly complex in the heat of combat. :(
It's also late, so none of that stuff in the hider may not even have made any sense... uh.. so, if it doesn't, I'll reread it tomorrow and fix it. >_>
