Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

Please don't take this the wrong way. I'm calling bullshit on the Senjutsu. Yes he can have talent, yes he can probably pick some basic things up. To be as good as you describe, without EVER receiving any formal training... It's too easy. He's already a battle maniac, developing his own style, lived through more shit than a typical 17 year old would. But we gotta be clear. He is still human. I'm sure when he did come into the peerage, and the events leading up to that, he'd probably already be cooler and more willing to listen than the dragon, but still. He's a human. Also, does the sacred gear need to be dragon origin? It that for possible scale mail armor? It's honestly not bad, just a double in power. But the biggest is the senjutsu. Especially when an amateur, someone unskilled or untaught, would begin to be corrupted by the malice and ill will of his/her surroundings. I'm not saying the senjutsu is bad. Not even saying get rid of it. Just saying tone it down. You can learn to use it properly in the story from a teacher if you want. Can be good character development and training. But as it is, it's kind of like Sieg. He's too powerful and too skilled. Gotta be downsized a bit.

I'm not sure what you're comparing him with that makes him seem powerful - at this point he's only around the level of say, Yuuto post-Excalibur arc; he can use Senjutsu, but that doesn't make him competent - he's talented in that he learned without formal training, but that doesn't mean he's actually good at it. It's comparable to someone who's naturally good at boxing, despite never having been taught. This is evident by the fact that he doesn't have any ranged methods of attack yet - actual Senjutsu practitioners should be able to launch their ki from a distance, whereas Ryuunosuke has no such means of compensating against an enemy from a distance.

TL;DR what he's doing is simply grasping at the roots of Senjutsu, he's by no means a master or even close to it.

As for Twice Critical, it's a very common reoccurring Sacred Gear, and judging from how Raynare acted, not a very impressive one. I chose that based on that assumption, since it wouldn't make sense for an exorcist to just pick up a kid for no reason, but at the same time I didn't want an OP Sacred gear.

Does that explanation make sense?
@Rune_Alchemist It would be hilarious if his entire peerage was composed of hot-blooded morons. Can you imagine?

Tsukimi: "Alright everyone, here's the plan-"
Everyone: "LEEEEROOOOOY JEEEEEENKINS!"
Tsukimi: "Oh for the love of . . ."

"I'm hungry."

"Eh?"

Frudie looked at her long time partner, a perplexed look on her face. The long-suffering fairy had long grown used to her partners habits and her general demeanor towards living, but every now and then, the magical girl managed to surprise her. Right now was no different - though, to be fair, surprise was not as accurate a word as, say, incredulous, to describe what she was feeling now.

Bringing up food in the middle of a fight wasn't something she usually did, after all.

The large Negari - a monstrous creature that looked like a frankensteinian mix between a chicken and a pig, and about the size of a truck - loomed over them, baring its claws threateningly. Golden Flower idly wondered just what kind of negative feelings produced a monster like this. Someone must have really hated the thought of bacon and eggs for lunch. And she was thinking about food again.

"I'm hungry," she repeated, right before ducking under the Negari's attempts to claw her face out.

"C-can we discuss this later?!" Yuri didn't usually act like this during a fight! Usually she was so obsessed with taking out with her opponent that she completely forgot where she was. Now though, she seemed almost bored! Not to mention that claw swiped was a little too close for Frudie's comfort!

Golden Flower, for her part, just stared dispassionately at her foe. It was big, yeah, ugly too, but it wasn't a challenge. She could already tell as much. It's strikes were deadly, and she was sure that the thing could hurt her if those claws reached, but the problem was that it was just so slow, probably being the slowest Negari she'd ever faced. There was just no challenge at all.

As such, discussing food was more interesting, never mind the scared civilians fleeing the scene.

"I think I'll go for Italian. Don't feel like cookin' today, and I heard there's a cheap little restaurant not too far from here."

"Okay, we can go discuss food later just- WATCH OUT!"

The little fairy nearly had a heart-attack as the Negari rushed towards her partner, all the while clucking like a demented chicken from hell. Frudie made a mental note to get the sound out of her head with some music later, preferably something loud and obnoxious that would get stuck in her head for days.

The giant chicken-pig-thing opened its mouth wide, and a long, thick tongue shot out and wrapped around Golden Flower, quickly pulling the magical girl towards its gaping maw. Frudie would have screamed if her voice didn't get stuck in her throat.

Golden Flower looked at her seemingly impending doom with a mix of boredom and disgust. Right as she was in front of the Negari's mouth, a golden flame enveloped her body, quickly pushing the beasts tongue away from her and leaving her free to swing her fists at its enormous head. The resounding crack echoed like a thunderbolt as the sound barrier gave way to her blow, and the Negari's head caved into its body, even as its body sunk into the ground from the sheer force of the magical girls blow.

She didn't let up however, and followed the blow with another, stronger one, causing the Negari to practically explode from the inside and shaking the earth beneath it. Kicking the air with enough force to crack at the sound barrier, she put some distance between herself and the dissipating body of the creature, flipping in the air once before landing next to Frudie.

"So, yeah, I heard that it's a pretty cheap place from a classmate. Might be worth checking into," she said, continuing their conversation as though she hadn't just pummeled the physical manifestation of negative emotions to death with her bare hands.

"Y-yeah . . ." Frudie had well and truly given up on making sense of this girl.

Golden Flower grinned. "A'ight then, it's settled. Hang on Die." The little fairy latched on to her partners arm and closed her eyes, expecting what was going to happen next. The magical girl crouched low, before kicking at the ground beneath her and shooting into the air like a golden missile. Having a general sense of where she was supposed to go, she twisted a bit in midair, laughing gleefully at the feeling of the wind on her face, even as the pair descended. It was her favorite method of travel, as far as being a magical girl went - she loved the feeling of being able to push herself into the sky, of being closer to the clouds than anyone else. It was also just plain fun.

It was times like this that Frudie felt that Yuri was more innocent than she liked to pretend. She was a girl that was rough around the edges, to be sure, but when she laughed like this as she took in the pleasure of an act as simple as descending from the sky, it made it hard for her to think about Yuri's violent side.

The pair landed on top of a nearby building, which was low enough that it caught the attention of passerby walking down below. Golden Flower didn't care much for their stares, however, and simply looked around for her objective. Her face broke into a smile as she once more leaped into the air, though at a much lower altitude, and landed onto the sidewalk below, and in front of an Italian/Japanese restaurant, "Saizeriya".

She took one look at it before thrusting the doors open and walking inside, complete with her magical girl ensemble.

"W-wait! You're just going to walk in like this?!" hissed Frudie quietly next to her ear. Her magical girl garb while not as intricate as those of her peers, was nonetheless eye-catching for entirely different reasons, reasons like her completely and shamelessly exposed front. The Golden Flower looked at her questioningly, as though she couldn't comprehend her question.

"Why not? Ain't no law that says a magical girl can't eat yeah?" she retorted, before walking over and plopping down on a nearby seat with as much grace as she entered - which is to say, not much. "Relax Frudie, we're just gonna have quick bite n' head home. So yeah, I'll take a chicken risotto and pasta with pancetta, with pumpkin soup on the side, and a bottomless ice-tea. What about you?"

She remained oblivious to the stares of the clientele inside the restaurant, who were no doubt unused to the sight of a magical girl so casually entering a diner and ordering a meal.

"Y-you-! I, ugh," the fairy muttered something strangely like 'I give up', before sighing and peeking at the menu in her friends hands. "chicken risotto and pasta with panacetta? Really?" She said, giving her partner a dry stare.

"I have a wicked sense of humor, bite me," she shrugged. Shaking her head, Frudie returned to the menu.

"Just get me spaghetti carbonara. And a gelato!" The fairy seemed to perk up at the thought of the frozen treat, something which her partner grinned at slightly. Frudie liked to act all high-strung and whiny, but she changed her tune fast at the mention of sweets.

@VitaVitaAR Should I get an introductory post up or wait for you to post first?
Name:
Kaneko Yuri

Magical Girl Title:
Golden Flower

Age:
16

Gender:
"Is this even a question?"

Personality:
FOR Yuri, strength is everything. Of course, her definition of strength is somewhat nebulous, so when asked what is strength for her one is likely to receive a different answer every time, but nevertheless, her pursuit of strength is what defines her. She respects an abundance of it, and disdains a lack of it - and does so openly and without hesitation. Some would say she's an honest girl, while others would call her arrogant; it doesn't matter to Yuri, as the truth has always been far simpler:

She lives the way she wants to, with little regard for others opinions or beliefs.

HER motivations aside, she's someone who enjoys a challenge, and her favorite method of enjoying herself is none other than battle. Whether it be against Negari or other magical girls, the thrill she gets from pitched, high-stakes combat is perhaps unmatched among all other magical girls. In fact, among her peers, she's infamous for her reputation as an unrepentant combat junkie. Of course, this attitude extends to actions outside of combat, and in every aspect of her life, Yuri will undoubtedly give it her all if it means overcoming what she deems a challenge. In that sense, for Yuri, it's all or nothing. If something fails to garner her interest, then it may as well not exist for her; if does, however, then she's prepared to go above and beyond the norm.

SOMEWHAT predictably, she's often at odds with other magical girls, as unlike the majority of them, her sense of right and wrong is somewhat skewed - though not nonexistent. Blatant acts of injustice and evil will hardly get a pass from her, but beyond irredeemable crimes, she will tend to ignore them in favor of her own pursuits.

IN terms of relationships, Yuri is hardly what one would call a good friend, but neither is she someone that one would regret having at their side. It is simply that meeting the requirements for her to consider someone her friend sets the bar high enough, sustaining those requirements would be considerably more difficult to those unprepared. To those that she does consider friends though, she is ready to assist no matter what the trouble is, even if her assistance might not always be the most comfortable thing to have.

All-in-all, the Golden Flower is the flower that blooms freely, unhindered by weather or war.

Skills:
  • Even in her human guise, Yuri is a beast in a melee, so much so that those that have had the misfortune to feel her skill first-hand wonder if she's doing drugs. She's not formally trained in martial arts, but her instinct combined with a lifetime of picking fights have led her to develop her own fighting style.
  • She's also an above average cook - out of necessity more than anything. Following a self-imposed diet is easier when you're the one doing the cooking, and if one has to cook, they may as well make it taste good.
  • She's also smarter than many give her credit for. More street smart than book smart, but she's no slouch in either department.

Abilities:
- As Golden Flower she's acquired physical abilities that eclipse that of the normal enhancements of magical girls, giving her strength and endurance far above the regular magical girl, such that she is usually able to bulldoze her way through regular Negari.

- Asides from her physical capabilities, she can wreathe a golden flame across her body that fans of hers have given the moniker "Golden Empress Aura". In simple terms, it completely nullifies any attempts to bind or move her. She cannot be pushed, pulled, tied or constricted, etc; however, it does not work as a physical barrier for damage of any kind, so in some cases it may actually work to her detriment - attacks that her body might have instinctively dodged, or otherwise mitigated slightly, will instead take the full brunt of it. So while she may not be pushed by an incoming flying car, she sure as heck is going to feel it.

Weapon(s):
Her only weapon, which is a single gigantic, pile-bunker-esque gauntlet that can be used to briefly enhance a single punch to reach levels above her already insane strength before being discarded for twenty-four hours, or otherwise as just a really big metal fist to hit things with. More often than not just used as a trump card and rarely taken out for regular use. She's given it the name "Mountain Breaker".

Brief History:
THE daughter of a construction worker and a school teacher, it is unknown just where exactly her rather tyrannical mentality came from. If one asked her, and if she felt like answering, then she would say that she could trace it back to the day she was kidnapped.

IT was an incident her parents never knew about, a crime that resolved before it could even become a crime. The details of what happened are known only to her, and she's never openly discussed what transpired, but whatever happened changed her way of viewing life.

SINCE then, she'd developed a habit of starting fights. When she lost for the first time, she developed a secondary habit of winning fights. Eventually, her infamy spread, to the point where even most delinquents avoided her out of fear; those that didn't, quickly fell in line with the rest.

SHE met Frudie when the latter was being chased by a Negari. The poor fairy contracted the first person she met who had the potential. It could have been anyone, really. This time, it just so happened to be Yuri, who was on her way from a back-alley brawl.

WHAT happened next, according to the fairy, was the most one-sided and anti-climactic beat-down of the century.

IT's been three years since then, and she's only been making a bigger name for herself in the process, though not the kind of name that Frudie approved of, much to the little fairy's dismay.

Theme song:

Fairy Name:
Frudie (Froo-dee-eh)

Fairy Appearance:
A constantly depressed looking fairy, with long blue hair, lavender-colored eyes, who is usually dressed in a long white and elegant gown and elbow length white gloves, and a short blue cape.

Fairy Personality:
Before meeting Yuri, she was bumbling and somewhat overenthusiastic fairy, especially in terms of finding a partner to contract; she had a rather low sense of self-esteem as well, not being one of the more 'talented' fairies, nor was she exceptionally attractive. After contracting with Yuri, however, due her constantly having to deal with her contractors . . . 'independent' attitude has sapped her of energy and instilled within her a habit of lamenting her ill-fortune. Still, she is loyal to Yuri and despite what she says outwardly, is in fact more than satisfied with and very proud of her partner.

Theme song:

@VitaVitaAR Thanks a bunch! I'll add her to the CS tab now?
@TheHangedMan: It's no necessarily any fault of your own and more past experiences, but outshining everyone in every category makes me a little wary. ^^;

Would you mind picking one or two to focus on that she really outdoes everyone?

Would power and durability suffice? She'd only be a bit faster than average, but nothing spectacular. I'm putting a lot of focus on her physical aspects as she really has no other abilities.
Takenori Ryuunosuke

He stands at 6’2” (187.96cm); muscular and intimidating, with skin that's slightly tanned due to overexposure to the sun. He's covered in scars, burns, and bullet wounds - a testament to the number of battles he's been in, and proof of his experience as a fighter. They also prove another thing: That the ones that gave him those scars weren't around long enough to finish the job.
“I'll take yah on, sure. Better not be havin' second thoughts now. I love a good fight after all.”

Age:
17

Gender:
Male

Race:
Human

Ranking:
[Not yet a part of Tsukimi's peerage]

Abilities

Skills:
  • Surprisingly enough, in spite of his appearance, he's a very homey person - he's fairly skilled at cooking, cleaning, even sewing or repairing appliances. Of course, given that he lives alone and is all but fending for himself, it's probably natural that he became skilled at it. He can also play the guitar.
  • Ryuunosuke is a Senjutsu practitioner and as such, excels at reading and manipulating the life-force of living beings around him. This combined with his natural instincts as a fighter make him an absolute beast in hand-to-hand combat, to the point where he can even overwhelm beings stronger than he is if they get within range of his fists, and if he can land one good punch in the right place.
  • He has had no formal training in martial arts of any kind, however, after constant years of fighting actual martial artists, he's begun to develop his own "style", though it's still rough around the edges. He can be called an expert street fighter, in this sense.
  • He's no slouch at arcade games - on more than one occasion, he's emptied out local arcades crane games, to the point where he was accused of cheating.

Senjutsu Skills:
Rather than magic, he uses Senjutsu. As such, he's developed skills in relation to sensing life-force, and manipulating ki and chakra. Senjutsu is the power to control the flow of life energy. By controlling the flow of ki, a person could strengthen physical bodies or cause vegetation around them to bloom or to wither. Knowing Senjutsu allows the reading of ki and auras and to spy on the target's state from afar. Disrupting the opponent's ki or severing it can cause direct damage to living things. There are very few ways to defend against Senjutsu, especially when it's utilized by a master.

Ryuunosuke himself is an extremely talented Senjutsu practitioner - evidenced by the very fact that he is a practitioner at all, despite having no formal training in the art. However, though he can use Senjutsu, that doesn't make him competent at it. This is evidenced by the fact that he doesn't have any ranged methods of attack yet - actual Senjutsu practitioners should be able to launch their ki from a distance, whereas he has no such means of compensating against an enemy from a distance. He has grasped the rudimentary fundamentals of Senjutsu and uses it in battle, mostly to augment his body to a level where he can battle beings that would naturally be stronger than him, as well as enhance his already beastly instincts.

He has also begun to tap into the ability to use Touki, being able to boost his attack, defense, and speed tremendously in short bursts of time. Pushing his unprepared body to its limits in this way, however, causes an intense backlash and he is more or less unable to fight afterwards.

Sacred Gear:
[Twice Critical] - A common, recurring Dragon-type Sacred Gear. Twice Critical looks like a gauntlet that manifests on the user's arm, leaving the wielder's fingers uncovered. The color of the Twice Critical differs between users. It has the ability to double the power of the user for a certain time.

Strengths & Weaknesses

+ His instincts both in and out of battle are freakishly accurate. Even without the use of Senjutsu, Ryuunosuke has the instincts to sense what his opponents next move could be; moreover, his intuition makes it so that he is not one who is easily fooled.
+ Abnormally strong, for a human. His Ki reserves make him more akin to a mythical beast than a human, at least. He is a natural-born fighter, and he has no problem proving it.
+ He's a fast learner, though this only applies to when he is actively attempting something. A kinesthetic learner to the core, he learns better when in the heat of the moment, so don't expect him to do much with a book!
+ Does not know what the meaning of fear is!

- Is not a team player; Ryuunosuke has a habit of going off the rails and never listening to instructions - whether or not it causes trouble for him in the long run.
- He hasn't made a habit of second guessing himself; he's very much a "shoot first, ask questions later" person. Again, this has gotten him into more trouble than it has getting him out.
- Though he's fast, tough, and, through the use of Senjutsu, has the ability to bypass nearly all conventional defenses, he has no effective means of hitting someone beyond the range of his fists, and as of now lacks the means to fly.
- Is a bit too eager to get into fights, oftentimes throwing logic and caution out the window. Even if he's severely outclassed, he can't help but ask for a good old brawl.
- Really, really does not know what the meaning of fear is - even if he is intimately familiar with the meaning of recklessness!
Personal Information
Personality:
Ryuunosuke is a man who loves freedom; the ability to do what he wants, when he wants, how he wants. Of course, he's aware that there's no such thing as being totally free - that in order to make a choice, you must sacrifice another - but in general, he is simply happy with being able to do as he pleases. He detests those that impede on this freedom - and the freedom of others. The power of being able to choose for oneself is not one he takes lightly, and he will not allow himself or others to be made slaves to the choices of others.

He's not a very scholarly person, even if he does attend school, he doesn't do much other than get barely passing marks; he'd rather do than think, if that wasn't already obvious.

Honest and straightforward, but in general very laid-back, he isn't a guy that's prone to hiding things or keeping secrets about himself - what you see is what you get, which is unfortunate since he's pretty intimidating to look at.

He is undeniably a battle-maniac, someone who lives to fight as much as he fights to live (often times in a very literal sense); he loves combat, and regularly goes around town to look for a fight. And he'll fight pretty much anything, from regular thugs and criminals, to stray exorcists or devils. Whether he leaves his opponents alive depends on how much of a threat they are to the people around - because as much as he enjoys battle, dragging those that have no interest in fighting is a no-no.

History:
Ryuunosuke can remember his life as far back as being an orphan who took to begging on the streets. He was picked up one day by a stray exorcist by the name of Christopher Demicas, the man who he would eventually come to recognize as his father. The man was running from the church, and it was easy to see why - the man was an absolute combat-freak, and without a doubt it was due to his influence that Ryuunosuke grew to enjoy combat as much as he does (though admittedly he has always been a bit too confrontational, even prior to their meeting); the man, while not necessarily someone of an evil disposition, had a difficulty with following orders and rules set down by the church. He would go out and hunt devils and fallen angels in a wanton killing spree to sate his battle lust, and though he never targeted the weak or unwilling, his actions still caused a myriad of problems for everyone involved - eventually, he was banished from the church and his execution was all but called for.

It was in travelling with him that Ryuunosuke was exposed to the supernatural world. Christopher, though a good man at heart, was terribly irresponsible as a parent-figure, as once he saw that he had the same talent and drive to fight burning inside him, he allowed the boy to join him in his battles after training him in the bare basics of combat. Christopher was a terrible teacher as well, but in contrast Ryuunosuke was a gifted student - what he was not taught, he picked up naturally, and what he did not pick up naturally, he experienced through live combat with frightening comprehension. So it went that he fought all manner of opponents; some they would come across through simple chance, such as the occasional stray devil or fallen angel, others would be agents sent by the church to kill Christopher - neither managed to put him down.

Still, such a lifestyle takes its toll on even the strongest of people. Those who live by the sword, die by the sword - and Christopher was no exception. His death came as he succumbed to wounds inflicted on him by exorcist agents and an accompanying angel, in a glorious battle that lasted for a day and a night. Ryuunosuke was there to pick up his body as their assailants fled, and buried him with a smile - after all, there was nothing to be sad about. Christopher died as he had lived, and he died smiling, after giving it his all in an epic final stand, exactly as he'd always desired.

Before he died, Christopher had enrolled him in a nearby school, in an attempt to give him some semblance of normal life. Ryuunosuke, for his part, continued to attend despite the mans death and his own wishes to continue travelling and distaste for school-life in general, to respect his wishes. He currently lives in a run-down shack on the outskirts of Yatsushiro Town, usually commuting to the Academy on foot.

Other:
Holds no grudge against the ones who killed Christopher. As far as he's concerned, you don't get to hold grudges in a fight.
His favorite food is Mapo Tofu, extra spicy.
His favorite drink is Rice Wine (Mijiu) though he only drinks it sparingly.
Strangely enough, Christopher taught him how to be faithful to god - even if he isn't the most devout person in the world, he still knows how to say a prayer before meals and how to give absolution to the dying. He's even been baptized!
He often assists a local church and orphanage with repairs or deliveries - he gets paid for it, of course, but in truth, he asks for less payment than his work warrants.

My favorite DxD character is, without a doubt, Xenovia Quarta~!
@TheHangedMan: To be fair it's not exactly a hard and fast baseline. Some magical girls are naturally stronger or faster in their base buffs.

Yeah, so I guess quintuple doesn't really mean anything. Like I said, I just wanted to get a point across. Anyway, changed it to:

"As Golden Flower she's acquired physical abilities that eclipse that of the normal enhancement of magical girls, giving her strength, endurance, speed and an over-all physical capability, that makes her, in most straightforward engagements, unmatched."
@VitaVitaAR I could change it to quadruple? I'm not sure how strong the base magical girl is, so I used my imagination. I'm not really big on numbers and all; quintuple is just to get the point across that even if she has no esoteric abilities, Yuri is really, really good at breaking things.
