Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

Damn... It was that far back?

Yep. I was just waiting and when no reply came the RP got buried and I forgot about it completely :P Then I assumed it was either dead or full, so I didn't check for updates.
Name:
Kaneko Yuri

Magical Girl Title:
Golden Flower

Age:
16

Gender:
"Is this even a question?"

Appearance:
Tall for her age, with shoulder length brown hair that she often ties into a ponytail. She has almond shaped eyes with somewhat thick eyebrows, and a constant smirk/grin on her face, depending on present company. Somewhat muscular and stocky, though with noticeably ample bust and blessed figure. She has two noticeable scars - one across the side of her neck, and one stretching from her collarbone down to her chest, though the latter isn't visible with clothes on.

Usually wears a tank-top and jacket with short-shorts, though sometimes she switches to jeans and sweaters on particularly chilly days. Has a habit of not wearing a bra, due to finding the damn things too annoying to deal with, unless someone close to her insists.

Magical Girl Appearance:
Her magical girl appearance is a simple, short red kimono with a large golden lily on the back, and golden flame trims on the sleeve and back. The kimono is open at the front and tied around the waist, and the sleeve of the right arm looks as though it was torn off. Her chest is wrapped in golden sarashi. She has gold-colored thigh-highs, and is wearing red single-stilted geta.

Personality:
FOR Yuri, strength is everything. Of course, her definition of strength is somewhat nebulous, so when asked what is strength for her one is likely to receive a different answer every time, but nevertheless, her pursuit of strength is what defines her. She respects an abundance of it, and disdains a lack of it - and does so openly and without hesitation. Some would say she's an honest girl, while others would call her arrogant; it doesn't matter to Yuri, as the truth has always been far simpler:

She lives the way she wants to, with little regard for others opinions or beliefs.

HER motivations aside, she's someone who enjoys a challenge, and her favorite method of enjoying herself is none other than battle. Whether it be against Negari or other magical girls, the thrill she gets from pitched, high-stakes combat is perhaps unmatched among all other magical girls. In fact, among her peers, she's infamous for her reputation as an unrepentant combat junkie. Of course, this attitude extends to actions outside of combat, and in every aspect of her life, Yuri will undoubtedly give it her all if it means overcoming what she deems a challenge. In that sense, for Yuri, it's all or nothing. If something fails to garner her interest, then it may as well not exist for her; if does, however, then she's prepared to go above and beyond the norm.

SOMEWHAT predictably, she's often at odds with other magical girls, as unlike the majority of them, her sense of right and wrong is somewhat skewed - though not nonexistent. Blatant acts of injustice and evil will hardly get a pass from her, but beyond irredeemable crimes, she will tend to ignore them in favor of her own pursuits.

IN terms of relationships, Yuri is hardly what one would call a good friend, but neither is she someone that one would regret having at their side. It is simply that meeting the requirements for her to consider someone her friend sets the bar high enough, sustaining those requirements would be considerably more difficult to those unprepared. To those that she does consider friends though, she is ready to assist no matter what the trouble is, even if her assistance might not always be the most comfortable thing to have.

All-in-all, the Golden Flower is the flower that blooms freely, unhindered by weather or war.

Skills:
  • Even in her human guise, Yuri is a beast in a melee, so much so that those that have had the misfortune to feel her skill first-hand wonder if she's doing drugs. She's not formally trained in martial arts, but her instinct combined with a lifetime of picking fights have led her to develop her own fighting style.
  • She's also an above average cook - out of necessity more than anything. Following a self-imposed diet is easier when you're the one doing the cooking, and if one has to cook, they may as well make it taste good.
  • She's also smarter than many give her credit for. More street smart than book smart, but she's no slouch in either department.

Abilities:
- As Golden Flower she's acquired physical abilities that eclipse that of the normal enhancements of magical girls, giving her strength and endurance far above the regular magical girl, such that she is usually able to bulldoze her way through regular Negari.

- Asides from her physical capabilities, she can wreathe a golden flame across her body that fans of hers have given the moniker "Golden Empress Aura". In simple terms, it completely nullifies any attempts to bind or move her. She cannot be pushed, pulled, tied or constricted, etc; however, it does not work as a physical barrier for damage of any kind, so in some cases it may actually work to her detriment - attacks that her body might have instinctively dodged, or otherwise mitigated slightly, will instead take the full brunt of it. So while she may not be pushed by an incoming flying car, she sure as heck is going to feel it.

Weapon(s):
Her only weapon, which is a single gigantic, pile-bunker-esque gauntlet that can be used to briefly enhance a single punch to reach levels above her already insane strength before being discarded for twenty-four hours, or otherwise as just a really big metal fist to hit things with. More often than not just used as a trump card and rarely taken out for regular use. She's given it the name "Mountain Breaker".

Brief History:
THE daughter of a construction worker and a school teacher, it is unknown just where exactly her rather tyrannical mentality came from. If one asked her, and if she felt like answering, then she would say that she could trace it back to the day she was kidnapped.

IT was an incident her parents never knew about, a crime that resolved before it could even become a crime. The details of what happened are known only to her, and she's never openly discussed what transpired, but whatever happened changed her way of viewing life.

SINCE then, she'd developed a habit of starting fights. When she lost for the first time, she developed a secondary habit of winning fights. Eventually, her infamy spread, to the point where even most delinquents avoided her out of fear; those that didn't, quickly fell in line with the rest.

SHE met Frudie when the latter was being chased by a Negari. The poor fairy contracted the first person she met who had the potential. It could have been anyone, really. This time, it just so happened to be Yuri, who was on her way from a back-alley brawl.

WHAT happened next, according to the fairy, was the most one-sided and anti-climactic beat-down of the century.

IT's been three years since then, and she's only been making a bigger name for herself in the process, though not the kind of name that Frudie approved of, much to the little fairy's dismay.

Theme song:

Fairy Name:
Frudie (Froo-dee-eh)

Fairy Appearance:
A constantly depressed looking fairy, with long blue hair, lavender-colored eyes, who is usually dressed in a long white and elegant gown and elbow length white gloves, and a short blue cape.

Fairy Personality:
Before meeting Yuri, she was bumbling and somewhat overenthusiastic fairy, especially in terms of finding a partner to contract; she had a rather low sense of self-esteem as well, not being one of the more 'talented' fairies, nor was she exceptionally attractive. After contracting with Yuri, however, due her constantly having to deal with her contractors . . . 'independent' attitude has sapped her of energy and instilled within her a habit of lamenting her ill-fortune. Still, she is loyal to Yuri and despite what she says outwardly, is in fact more than satisfied with and very proud of her partner.

@VitaVitaAR lemme save you the trouble of going through ever page looking for it :)
@VitaVitaAR My character sheet from 3 months ago still hasn't been reviewed and I'm still waiting, if it's any help :D
@Rune_Alchemist If we're going by traditional Kitsune though, she wouldn't even have 2 tails. A kitsune gets an extra tail every 100 years, stopping at 9. Of course, given that this is the DxD-verse (or most anime in general really) you could make it such that "power = # of tails" so she could have two or more.

Leo smiled in approval - inwardly, anyway. He didn't let it show on his face asides from a slight lifting of his eyebrows. It looked like he'd be getting along quite easily with Talia. He thought about those rules with consideration for his partner in mind, but he still expected a bit of resistance, particularly about bringing other people inside. If Talia was a social butterfly, then it would have presented a bit of a problem, but from what he'd seen, she was fairly reclusive, so that was no longer a major concern.

On to present matters, she took up his invitation to eat out, and maybe look around town. She was an adventurous sort, despite her silent exterior, hm? In fact, her 'silent exterior' was quickly giving way to someone who was much peppier and excitable. It looked like she really liked the idea of going out to town.

"Okay then. We'll have a quick bite at this cafe of yours, and then we'll have a look around town. How does that sound?" As far as bonding activities went, it wasn't a bad idea. If she was more in her element in the city rather than in the academy, then there was no better place to get better acquainted with her.

Of course, it was no fun if that was all he would be going there for. He might as well enjoy himself along the way.

Alice nodded, though she was hesitant to leave her, she recognized that being too forceful about the issue probably wasn't the best idea. If she pushed to hard, it might backfire and antagonize her further. Mikayla didn't seem like the kind of person that took well to being coddled.

That being the case, she still wished she could go with her. It was such a small thing, just the simple act of opening the door to new room for the first time, but the thought of having to do alone that which was meant to be done as a pair didn't sit right with her, even if the circumstances were beyond her ability to control.

At first, she wasn't sure if she should bring Mikayla's things with her, but after a moment of deliberation decided to ease her load a bit. "Alright, I'll be bringing your stuff as well. Catch you later," she said with as genuine a smile as she could manage - which meant the smile came quite easily - as she closed the door behind her, the volunteer student following afterwards. He still had that jacket over his shoulder.

Actually, the more she thought about it, the more embarrassing it became. That was a piece of clothing with her face on it, being slung over a schoolmates back, a schoolmate who was still eagerly waiting for her to sign it, judging from his facial expression.

She hoped to god that he wasn't actually planning on wearing it everywhere. The thought of that happening colored her ears a tad red now.

In a short while, they arrived at her room. Once inside she turned to the volunteer, and finally signed the thing, and hopefully he could leave before her ears could get any redder. The ecstatic look on his face almost made her forget exactly what he was holding in his hand. Still, it looked like he wasn't going away anytime soon, as he then informed her that she needed to choose her elective. Of course, given that Monster Hunting was mandatory now, it was obvious what her choices would be: that, and Music. Now she just needed Mikayala . . .

"We're going to have to go back to the infirmary," she sighed; why didn't he bring this up while they were there earlier? His being late aside, this guy was being highly unprofessional, to the point where it was grating on her nerves slightly.

If he caught up on her annoyance, he didn't show it, but their trip back to the infirmary was rather quick.

"Mikayla, I'm back! Here're your papers for your electives. Looks like this poor guy over here can't leave unless we sign it," she announced cheerily.

Eyo @Scio, this still open?
@Indra oh good, I was worried there for a moment. Good to see you're alright. I'll post my CS's soon then and I'll get to reviewing the other CS's ASAP.

"I see, that's a relief. In the future, if you ever feel like I'm pressuring you into something, inform me. I've been told I often have that effect on people." Of course there were times when he did it intentionally, but those were times when it was necessary. He didn't think it acceptable, however, to act in that manner constantly. Separating his working mentality from his casual one was an exercise that he found was getting increasingly difficult every year as he got older and assumed more responsibilities. It worried him how little this worried him; he didn't find it all that troubling in the moment, but upon reflection he was certain that this way of thinking may not be entirely healthy.

Moving on from that, he addressed a few house rules that he felt were fair.

"First rule - we respect each others' privacy. You don't go through my things without permission and vice versa. If you need something, ask.

"Second rule - Don't bring anyone else into the room unless we're both aware of it.

"Third rule - If you don't want to be disturbed or need privacy, pull the sliding wall. If you need something, knock first.

"I hope those are clear. If you have any problems with these rules, best tell me now, otherwise, how do you feel about going out for a bite to eat?"

After they got this down, he hoped Talia would feel up to stepping outside with him. He felt it'd be good to make use of the ample amount of free time they had as a way to get to know each other better, but it was rather dull doing so while in their own room after they'd just finished unpacking. Better to make use of their time somewhere more pleasant, possibly outside the school at a cafe, if she wasn't adverse to the idea.

Alice patted her on the back. "Hey, leave it to me. I'll get your stuff for you."

Hopefully this would get her to trust her a bit more. She'd defrosted a bit during their time in the infirmary, but Alice wished it didn't take an injury to get to that point. At least it was just a minor sprain. On that note, that was another reason why she disliked wearing heels; they were stylish and all, but an absolute nightmare to move it. Walking with them on was chore enough, but try dancing in them and then you'd know true terror.

And Alice knew true terror.

Back to Mikayla's luggage, she was relieved to find it was where they left it. She also found that the volunteer that was suppose to accomodate them waiting.

"You're kind of late aren't you?" she asked with a little bite. It was unprofessional, after all. They may be students, but they still had a job to do, and she couldn't help but think that if the volunteer had been there earlier Mikayla might have been able to avoid being injured. At least he had the sense to look properly abashed for it.

"I erm, had to go back and get something," he explained. Just as Alice was about to ask what it was, the volunteer pulled out a sweater, which design she recognized intimately.

Or more precisely, that was her on the sweater, standing in the spotlight on the stage she preformed on last year.

The sweater was part of the merchandise they sold after the show, and from her knowledge, pretty pricey. Among the core cast, her sweaters sold the least, which wasn't a big surprise - among those performing as main characters, she was the newbie; she might have a fan base, but they were small in comparison. That being the case, she still knew what it meant when a random stranger pulled a jacket of her in front of her all of a sudden.

"Could you please sign this?" Of course.

"Er, why don't we get my stuff to my room first? My partners kind of waiting." Speaking of, Alice picked up Mikayla's luggage herself. "Let's stop by the clinic first. My partner will probably want her luggage first." Nodding, the flustered volunteer threw the sweater over his back and lugged Alices' luggage behind him. They got to the clinic quickly enough, and Alice entered with a smile.

"Hey, I got our stuff. I'm ready to go when you are."

Alice took note of her partners' reaction. It could be summed up in one word: cold. After you've worked in theater for a certain amount of time, one thing you learned was how to read body language, certain tells give away how a person was feeling. You had to learn how to imitate those tells, to make your acting more convincing, and to really put yourself in the moment and become your character. Applying these skills outside of the stage wasn't something she usually had to do, but she knew what it meant when a person as assured looking as Mikayla pretty much avoided shaking hands - oh, and the fact that her strained mockery of a smile never reached her eyes.

For some reason or the other, her new partner didn't like her. Great first start.

The announcement about Monster Hunting came as a surprise to her, but didn't bother her much. Oh, it limited her choices sure, but in all honesty, she was satisfied with being in Music already, she didn't really care what her second elective was. In any case, Alice withheld a sigh as she followed Mikayla off the stage, quietly noting that a few students in the front row suddenly went quiet as she passed. This puzzled her - of course, she was also unaware that Mikayla was glaring daggers at them. If she'd known, she may have been more than a little cross with her partner. As it was, Alice was willing to put up with her as far as her patience would allow. Anymore than that, well, suffice it to say those that have worked with her were aware, Alice was not without her fangs.

She followed her, and was sorely tempted to ask her questions, talk, anything to break the silence between them because she really, really disliked the silence, but at the same time, the air around her made it obvious that flapping her mouth carelessly would be a bad idea. The problem was she didn't know a thing about the other girl, and had no idea where to begin with her. It was like trying to sing a song without knowing the lyrics.

As she was contemplating a way out of this awkward situation, an audible snap rang through her ears and Mikayla tumbled down. Her boot heel had snapped, and from the way she wasn't getting up, it looked like she'd sprained herself too.

Alice rushed to her partner immediately. She inspected the injured limb. "That was a bad fall," she stated bluntly. No point in asking if she was okay, with how that ankle was swelling. "That looks nasty, no way you're walking like that. C'mon, I'll help you get to the clinic and we can put some ice on it." She said, as she attempted to haul her by the shoulder. The clinic was a bit far from here; she hoped Mikayla could put up with that ankle until then.

I'll have a Vyper up by tomorrow. I'll have Phoebe on the waiting list just in case we need any extra Harpy's (fat chance of that happening.)
