Where are all of the Xmen games? Deadpool just came out on video and Xmen Apocalypse is about to come out. I was expecting more hype.

@EverWelcome. Yeah, pyrokinesis with definately work, both with the hypothermia and when the building burns down.
@Burning Kitty@Dark Eternityboth approved. Feel free to post. Everyone gets the same speech when they show up.
Upon arriving you were told to change into a hospital gown, then taken on a gurney, past several exam tables in what looked to be an old warehouse or factory building, to a table, where you were strapped down. There a tall, muscular woman came to check your straps before a man in a lapcoat came over and began speaking with a British accent.

"Hello, my name is Ajax. Welcome to the Workshop, where we turn ordinary people who have had a turn of bad luck into superheros. If you think Superpowers are acquired painlessly, though, you are sadly mistaken." He inserted an IV into your arm and began injecting some sort of blue liquid that was hanging beside the bed. "You see, in order to get powers, I'll have to inject you with a chemical which will unlock any mutant genes that may be hidden within your DNA. Adrenaline acts as the catalyst for the change, so in order for it to work I'm going to have to hurt you." He injected a syringe full of adrenaline into the line with the blue liquid.

"You know, I used to use a lot of euphemisms, "this may sting", "the process may be a bit tough on you," that sort of thing. But I don't bother any more. You see, I was a patient here as well, just like Angel here." He motioned to the woman with his head. "It made her inhumanly strong, but gave me superior reflexes. It also scorched my nerve endings, so I no longer feel pain, or, in fact, anything at all." He motioned and two mercenaries walked over. "Go get the Gym ready. I need a work on my punches, and someone just delivered a punching bag to us."
@Burning Kittyanything involving metal would help there.
@TyphonYou mean something like the Shatterpoint technique from Star wars? That could work. They'd have to sedate you after you got your powers, though, so you didn't break free before being sold off.
Not sure what the second worst one would be. I'm thinking hypothermia, with only movement keeping you warm.
<Snipped quote by TheUnknowable>Day One: can the guinea pig fight back?

Only if you get your powers and manage to break free of the chains tying your hands to the ceiling and feet to the ground.
@Hallionno, maybe once a year. Apparently it's a server thing. I can get through to CLoudFlare, but sometimes they can't show me the site.
@Dark EternityI'll probably start characters multiple times, with one day passing in game every week or few days (whenever we need a time skip). After two weeks, they'll be an explosion and Deadpool will escape.
So if anyone doesn't have it in when I start, don't worry. You can just be earlier on the torture schedule than the others.

Day one: "Angel" or one of the mercs use you as a punching bag.
Day two: Waterboarding.
Day three: electric cage.
You know that seen in "Deadpool" where he gets taken to an underground facility where he's injected with some kind of blue serum and tortured to unlock any mutations he had? Well, that's the basis of this RP.

Your characters will all be taken to that same facility at some point after Wade Wilson arrives and, eventually, shipped off as a slave. The same person will buy all of you, and have you fighting rebels in South America. If the RP lasts long enough, we'll time skip and Deadpool, Colossus, and Negasonic will show up to free you and take you back to NYC.

Rules of powers when you get them:
1) It has to be a mutation which helps you against the source of your stress, though it might have secondary effects which don't.
2) The relative strength should be proportional to how much stress/pain you were under when you got it. Use Deadpool for reference.
3) Drawbacks to your powers can be taken to make them stronger. (Think about how his cancer grows faster too.)
4) As soon as you get them you're shipped off, but they try the (relatively) less stressful stuff first, so if your character gets them quickly, they'll be weaker overall.
5) If you last until Wade burns the place down, you can either die in the fire, get powers from it, or be transferred to another facility until he kills your captor and frees you.

This is rated 18+ because torture and excessive swearing aren't exactly child friendly. Also, no sexual content, but references can work in context. This isn't that kind of 18+ RP.
