As for me, I'm totally satisfied with the pacing, like Illu said. There's nothing to worry about when I wake up in the morning about missing a page or two, and that's what I love about this RP. It's very chill and fun to react to, and it doesn't put as much stress on me either. For once, I love that writing doesn't feel like a chore.

As more time passes, we could definitely slip in something more dynamic such as the camping trip and such, and the festivals too. For now, we're still in that 'getting to know each other' stage so it totally fits the pacing too. ^_^

EDIT: Li it's alright if you haven't been that active IC! The point of this rp is to advance without getting in the way of real-life matters, so we'll understand if ever you're unable to write up a post or two. No pressure!

From the looks of it, the teacher didn't seem to mind as Gideon nonchalantly devoured the pork bun in front of her. The boy was seated right at the front, though. It's no wonder she seemed so rigid. Senjin noticed this, and carefully slipped out the plastic container from its hiding place. He managed to get a spoonful in the air until he noticed the teacher shooting him a hundred daggers through her glare.

"Sayama-kun, please refrain from saturating your hunger during class discussion!" she spat, "You should know by now that is what breaks are for."

The boy's jaw dropped to his desk, as he looked at the teacher, then to Gideon, who solemnly continued to finish off his savory pastry. Senji was taken aback, despite knowing that if he were in her place, he probably wouldn't want to mess with the boy in front either. Either way, the obvious bias slightly offended him. While keeping intense eye-contact with the teacher, he drove the spoon into his mouth and swallowed quite audibly to be heard by the entire class, finishing it off with a satisfied "Ahhh~"

"SAYAMA SENJIN! IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE DISRESPECTING THE RULES, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO TAKE A TRIP OUTSIDE CLASS." her roars shook the windows he sat next to, grinding her teeth as the venom poured out of her mouth. Of course, it did suck for him to be called out on since it was only the second day of school, but what could he do at that point? So he stood up, dragged the chair behind him and stepped out of the classroom with his custard cup, and then backtracked to fetch his spoon. If the teacher was going to be biased and salty, Senji didn't want to hear it anymore. He figured the rest of the year was definitely going to suck with her.

As Senji sulked outside, he wondered what kind of class the Music students were having. Kyoko did mention that that was her chosen elective. The room was only just a couple doors down the hall, so it wouldn't hurt to take a peek. He stuck the spoon in his mouth and stood on his tippy-toes, lifting himself high enough to watch the class go on through the window. As soon as he managed to catch a glance of Kyoko, and then made awkward eye-contact with the teacher, he had quickly lowered himself, hoping to God that their teacher didn't mind him either, otherwise that would be a total of TWO scoldings in a row. Not a good set record for his second day. The boy continued to finish off his custard cup, which, oddly enough, seemed to never end. He leaned against the wall beside their classroom and waited for the bell to ring, sighing as he pondered which instrument Kyo would've picked.

Thanks for clarifying. I'll probably stick around for 20 more minutes and read through the IC, then head off to bed.

Here's to hoping the story doesn't machine-gun without me. ;)

EDIT: @WeepingLiberty, safe trip to and fro!
Gods, hear my pleas...

"Well howdy there Miss Rae-Ah, names Luke, Luke Harrison. What can I do ya for?"

The man's response almost shocked Rae-Ah to the point that she thought this was all a massive test to find out how faithful she was to the gods. A part of her thanked the man for ignoring her new-found beastly counterparts. But how could he have been so... cheerful? Especially at a time like this? Is he not as confused as the rest of them? Rae-Ah watched him as he continued to hack away at the deer, turning away in disturbance. The girl pondered on his reaction for a moment until another figure rose up from beneath the tall grass.

Silver hair, with sharp and elongated ears. Is she from those folk tales Rae had been narrating to the temple's children throughout the past 6 years? Needless to say, disbelief could not come to par with what she felt at the moment. As the wind continued to blow harder, a lock of hair came into view as it swayed the motion.

"White... hair?!" That was the last straw. Rae shrieked as loud as she could, hoping that the gods would hear her and feel an ounce of pity. It had only been a couple of minutes, but somehow she'd managed to grow a tail, a new set of ears, claws and her luscious brunette locks had been bleached. Her tail slumped as her screaming stopped, completely drained of energy and all sense of logic.

The weary girl looked up at the sky, noticing that not much of it has changed- at least. For a moment, she thought of her parents and a single stray tear dropped onto her long, white gown. The sky was the only thing normal she'd seen so far, excluding the men she'd seen earlier. Everything else was so new, so vibrant, so... terrifying. Rae-Ah reminisced on what the masters had taught her back at the temple. Back home. 'Whatever the gods give you, you take it respectfully and obediently! Those were the exact words they preached not long ago.

'I'll have to try my best, then...'

As Rae-Ah struggled to make her way to the pair of men who had already been conversing, she shamefully looked towards the ground, aware that her appearance was not something to be proud of. Looking at them, she realized they haven't mutated as badly. One man was marked with tattoos, and the other who looked fairly normal. Her confidence had depleted to a near-0, but she mustered up enough strength to squeak out a few sentences to them.

"May I know your names? Please... I do not know why we are here, nor why I am like this," she gestured towards her ears. "but I believe we are stranded... do- do you think we can call everyone together?" she sheepishly looked towards the elf and the man who split open a deer.

In embarrassment, she turned around as soon as she finished.

Are the gods listening?

Lots of thanks for your consideration! :D I've been posting from my phone and chilling out for a bit on my bunkie so I guess I'm good.

@OldManWong, extra style points for you if you manage to make it through that grueling session haha.

@Aline Take your time, Li. :) Enjoy your lunch!
@TokkiQuite likely there will be, but things may get muddled depending on who's reacting to who. I'd say that there should be an established order (generally), then have exceptions when only one person is being referred to and only one person and it calls for their response immediately.
What do you think?

I think that'll be good. How about for each person, wait for at least 2 posts before posting again? That way we can get rid of speed-posting and such. Or just the standard posting order.
@PKMNB0Y Once we have more people, will there be a posting order so that no one gets left out?

The young priestess' eyes fluttered open in response to the shouting that came from all around her. Rae was still in a daze as she slowly sat up on the grass bed where she seemed to have fallen asleep. The grogginess of deep slumber left her, as her eyes properly adjusted to her surroundings that seemed just a little too surreal. The tall grass she was surrounded by reflected an unnatural light under the sun. Needless to say, she was in utter disbelief. She carefully scanned her surroundings and spotted three others who had woken up before her- whether there were more of them present, she couldn't tell. The vegetation had obscured most of what happened to lay close to the ground, and not only that, but it spread as far as the horizon.

The crimson grass continued to sway carelessly as the wind blew, with only her and a few other men scattered around the field, as they scoured the area for help. Rae-Ah decided to finally pick herself up, until she'd noticed a couple of things that struck her as absolutely peculiar. Standing up, she could feel a soft, feathery texture at the back of her ankles. Dark talons protruded from her nail beds instead of the well-polished keratin. Reaching a hand behind her, she grabbed a handful of fur. Examining further, she realized that the fur belonged to herself. A growth extended from her rump, in the form of a long, platinum tail. At that moment her stomach was in knots. Frustration, confusion and desperation hit her all at once. With too much to comprehend, she knelt on the unfamiliar terrain and proceeded to shove her head in her hands to relieve some of the stress and perhaps figure out what on earth was going on.

Two more unfamiliar growths of muscle covered in fur came in contact with her hands. As if Rae didn't have enough to worry about, she also knew that the body she once had was gone. She had no way of looking at her own face, but at that point she realized she probably didn't even want to. Priorities were non-existent; she didn't even know where to begin. There were much too many questions to ask, but time was running out as the sun fell closer to the horizon.

A perplexed Rae ran towards the hefty man who seemed to have been harvesting the grass; the closest out of the three. She could see the second man run towards another who was further off than the rest- perhaps they could rally together soon enough. Naturally, she didn't think being alone in this type of environment was the smartest thing.

"E-excuse me?" she called out as she ran towards him. For a moment she didn't realize that she had no questions prepared for him. There was too much for her to cycle through, so she acted on a whim. Covering her face, she continued, "Do you know exactly where we are? My name is Rae-Ah, and I live-- lived in Kijong-Dong, North Korea..."

Hi all! I just got back from a long train ride to here and there. I hope you're all having a good day. Right now, I'm still a bit woozy from the travel so I'm gonna go lay down and hope I don't sleep through the night and miss anything. :)
Yeah, I guess. Was hesitating about the deer, then I remembered gazelle existed.
Though... I guess that among that grass you'd find some sorta plant that would look like sticks, so I'm not gonna go against that either.

Edit: Hm... Actually, gotta ask the people who are in the RP right now: do you think that the current group size is fine? Five people was enough in my head, but you guys might have differing opinions and I kinda wanna hear them out and all. Since we're still on introductory posts as of now, this is probably the best time to ask.

I'm comfortable with this size; it is manageable. What happens too often with a bigger group is that one or two people happen to get left out very frequently, especially when posting orders are not assigned. As of now, I don't see any glaring problems with the size of the group. Although, I do think with the addition of 1 or 2 more people, we can add some more flavor to these noodles? Either way I'm totally fine with how it goes.

I guess I'll wait until the verdict comes to a close to give Rae-Ah her first breath of life.

EDIT: Nvm. I'll get to work now :X
