@Reflection Well, Apocrypha gave us Karna and a bunch of other really broken Servants, so... meh. I don’t think I’m going to be too strict about it since this is a PvE RP, but my preference would be that the players be relative underdogs.

Also, it looks like we’ve got enough! Alright, I’ll start putting a proper intro post together now.
Excellent! Now we just need at least three more...
This is just an interest check, a proper intro post will come once I know there are enough people interested to warrant one. Don't worry, I'm not about to make my triumphant return to RPGuild without a massive wall of text!

Basically, this has been stewing in my head for the better part of a couple months now ever since I finally got around to binging Apocrypha on Netflix. I have... opinions on that story. Most of them some flavor or another of disappointment. However, I think we can do better! This RP would basically be a PvE game for 6-12 players in which you take on the role of the Yggdmillennia of a slightly different universe. Gone are the original Masters and Servants of Black (save perhaps Darnic), replaced by your characters. The Servants of Red have similarly been remixed and this time around, you'll actually be facing the enemy Masters sent by the Mage's Association instead of Marik Ishtar and his Servant harem.

I haven't ironed out further details just yet, since this is just a preliminary interest check, but due to the nature of the story, this could actually be a Grail War with multiple winners. A problem I've noticed tends to happen with battle royale-style Fate RPs is that nothing much tends to happen because, well, people get invested in their characters and want them to survive. Here, your Masters/Servants don't necessarily need to die unless that's what you want (or you drop out, I plan on keeping this thing moving in one way or another even if people start dropping out/ghosting).

Anyway, that's about all I've got at the moment. Leave a response if this is something you'd like to see and I can get to work hammering out something of substance.
This still active/accepting applicants?
Sorry, but I’m gonna have to bow out of this RP. I just don’t have the time to keep up with it like I thought I would have, and the recent arguments have left a bad taste in my mouth besides. Best of luck, folks.

Sumi looked up at the delinquent- no, at Natsuki in shock. ”O-Okay...”

Someone just stood up for her. Someone had actually stood up for her. That... was an interesting feeling. Shock, terror, disgust, and (more recently) pity? She was familiar with those. This, however, was new. Sumi actually felt her heart skip a beat. M-Maybe... maybe they could be friends?

Her stomach growled, and her face immediately turned a bright shade of red. How embarrassing! She quickly looked over to Black-and-White and Little Boy Blue, hoping to avert her gaze. It didn’t seem like anything she’d said had made a lick of difference to them. She doubted she’d be making friends with them any time soon. But they were going to be classmates, so... maybe? She supposed the best she could hope for from them was that they could get along.

Sumi sighed.

A few minutes later, she and everyone in Team Teamwork had the catgirl’s phone number. She didn’t know if she’d need it, but it felt nice to have someone else’s contact info in her phone. Maybe she’d actually be able to make some friends at this school? More than one friend, at least. Remembering the dreary, somewhat-teary, somewhat-cheery goodbye she shared with her middle school best friend Megumi before packing her bags for Kirisama, Sumi did a quick jog back to Natsuki.

“It l-looks like everyone’s getting ready! W-We should too!” she said, feeling a new source of determination welling up inside her. Sumi pumped her fists excitedly then sank into a sprinter’s position.

Then the screaming started. And suddenly, it was like the last year had never even happened. Sumi froze, her brow beaded with cold sweat. She could hear a roaring in her ears, her eyes widening until they swallowed the sky, and then she was there again, lying flat on her back with the mid-afternoon sun beating down on her. Her arm hurting. Her legs hurting. Her stomach hurting. Nothing to keep her company except the lapping of the waves stinging her exposed flesh.

So alone. So...

“Stop it! W-Why are you all fighting?! Shouldn’t you be focusing on how to save the most people?!”

The outburst came before anyone could have anticipated it. Sumi included. She had, in more ways than one, a problem with being led wherever her mouth might take her. Figuratively and literally. Today, it seemed, was no exception. Finding herself in a position where she could neither back down nor advance out of fear of the intimidating underclassmen (though technically, she supposed, they were all the same grade now), Sumi held her ground in front of the monochrome princess and the blue-skinned genie boy, clutching her left arm with her right where the stump connected to the prosthesis.

Sumi tried her hardest to meet their gaze, but flinched. They seemed really scary. The way they talked, they were clearly big shots with high-powered Quirks. Just like-

Just like... Sumi thought, her thoughts retreating back to that day. On the plane. The fear. The confusion. The panic. The surrender.

Sumi shook her head. No! We can’t back down! Not when we’ve come so far! Do you want to be a hero, Sumi Elias?! A hero doesn’t back down from bad guys!

Just like back then.

Slowly, she forced herself to look at them, biting her lip.

“Not everyone here can be as strong as you! Isn’t that what h-heroes are for? To protect the weak? Then why shouldn’t heroes be able to help other heroes who aren’t as strong as them? D-Do you really think that obligation begins and ends with a hero license?!”

Be like her! You can’t sit back and do nothing this time!

She turned to thunder thighs. “And why are you just feeding the flames!? W-We’re the older ones here! We need to set an example! Right...?”

Sumi deflated a little. “I-I do... think you’re right. Saving people should be more important than just beating villains. B-but we all have a job to do, and if the heroes who are strong and can beat villains can’t or won’t back up heroes like us who are better at behind the front lines, then how are we going to save anyone?”

She gripped her arm tightly. “Even if we can’t all be strong, can’t we at least be stronger together? I think... I think that’s what All-Might would have wanted. He sacrificed everything for us. So can we please just stop fighting?”

Sumi immediately felt foolish. Wasn’t she just hurting her own argument by adding to the yelling? If they hadn’t listened to the other scary girl with the big legs, then why would they listen to her? She only hoped she hadn’t started singling herself out already. Then again, that would hardly be a new feeling.

I-I’m sorry...

The words were already forming on her lips.
Sumi’s family likely moved in after. Probably only recently so they could support their daughter, as a matter of fact.
I’ll probably refine this a bit once I figure out the best way to word some of this stuff, but for now, here she is!
