HCL 2: Twisted tinkers' triumph

Almost as soon as void walker appears she was snuffed out, the maw of a great dragon of unknown origins in this land clamping down on her upper half and coating her in a black and golden flame before releasing her and attempting to swat her away with it's tail, her able to teleport now that she was free of it's maw, though it's breath seemed to make picking where she went difficult, leaving her half embedded in a wall or boulder with the dragon eyeing her up. It was an immense beast, it's teeth blackened by it's breath with it's tongue left golden, it's scales a solid white and it's eyes a piercing amber that seems to burrow into her mind, inviting fear upon it against her will.

even as kihaku rushed down nito, she could feel something already having gotten there and when she does finally arrive there the entire tomb is blasted away along with everything above it, the creature left clutching the lord soul and gazing upon it with curiocity... at least curiocity could be assumed considering it's face showed no emotion.

As gwyndolin begins his speech, the creature grabs his ankles and starts smashing him against the ground, rather hard and repeatedly until gwyndolin is just sort of in a small crater and a whole new multiverse of pain. "i'm getting rather annoyed with all this" the creature remarks evenly

The first time he tries the ball seems to be absorbed, kinetic force specifically being of little use against it as his efforts don't even slow it's speech, it's fingers puncturing the ball before spots on it's hands open up to draw the energy in in the blink of an eye, neutralizing the attack harmlessly. "if you continue attacking me then i will retaliate" the creature says evenly, it's emotionless voice betraying hints of annoyance as solaire continues to attack him futily

"magical construct of the illusory variety, emitted from there" the creature replies, pointing directly at gwyndolin from where he was at as he steps away, returning to the castle by distorting itself to walk the gaps without pause, working it's way back to the remaining half of the castle

"what princess?" the creature asks confusedly, cocking it's head as Gwynivere had been dissolved, the illusion broken along with her castle. "i arrived here and was immediately attacked. i'm simply defending myself... though, tis a shame about the fat one, i dislike killing things... wasteful..." the creature adds evenly, looking over the side of the bridge where smough had fallen

The creature was pinned in place by the barrage, constantly having to keep moving in order to avoid attacks from everywhere, Ornstein and smough thankfully helping against the invaders due to their natures as defenders of this place, creating a moment where the two great warriors were on the same side as their would be attacker.

While the two great defenders charge into the fray the wire creature hangs back, moving it's arms to it's hips, palms up as it slowly brings it's hands together as if praying in front of it's stomach, it's arms seeming to blur and become more than just the two it had on it shortly before the defenders would recognize that it's arms were actually multiplying, giving it an extra two sets, circles opening up in it's palms and the tips of it's fingers, power flowing out of them to form spheres of white energy before it rushes forwards, slamming the sphere's into the bridge right after the connector, splitting the path with it's palm strikes as it's launched back by the effort, leaving the invading undead to only be able to rely on ranged attacks which void walker handles handedly, the three turning back together, each of them taking a fighting stance before duking it out surprisingly honorably, the creature's arms having reformed into the normal pair as it ornsteine swipes at it, keeping his distance after learning his mistake for charging earlier, smough charging in and attacking relentlessly, the wire creature dodging and blocking the immense blows. Between the three of them, the fight is quite a sight to behold, their bodies flowing like water as each attack from one was followed up by another, the sheer beauty of the carnage like watching someone create a masterwork of art for bahamut, the being that had defeated him not putting his shame to waste as it's next fight was a thing of beauty that was cut short when the great behemith that was smough finally got clipped one too many times and went for a tumble off the bridge, hitting the bottom with a sickening thud, ornstein reaching a hand out to try and prevent his fall too late before his extended hand clenches into a fist, his size growing along with the power rolling off of him as a great roar bellows forth from the warrior's enraged throat.

The wire creature stays calm at the knight's rage, continuing to dodge and get clipped by the master spearman up to the moment smough's influence on the Dragon slayer takes hold and he jumps up, his entire form radiating lightning before he falls back down, the bridge section becoming a light show of energy, the wire creature appearing to have collapsed under the immense energy that had been sent through it. However, when the dragon slayer goes to finish off the fallen form of the creature, the bridge beneath him collapses, the wire creature having fled to the underside during the lightning tsunami. Rather than let the great slayer fall to his death, the creature extends down to drop him off safely in the city before heading back onto the bridge just in time to face solaire, which had had enough time to arrive by now

After some calculations, tiny and i discovered that the sunlight spear would only nudge the creature a good foot or so at best and that the impact from it hitting the castle would cleave it in half, leaving smough to jump out the window nearly imediately, ornstein to go check on gwynivere and then jump out when he saw that she was gone. After a bit of finagling the three of them met up on the bridge leading up to the castle which had, by now, sunk into the city. Ornstein was the first to make a move, his spear lighting up before he dashes at the creature, the creature narrowly avoiding the spear by turning before grabbing ornstein's legs and suplexing him half way into the ground only for smough to hammer the creature down like a nail, the creature lifting himself out of the ground nearly as quickly as he'd been hammered into it, keeping a firm grip on smough's hammer as his upper half spins and contorts like a spring before releasing, launching the 700 pound behemith like a ragdoll into solaire.

The creature drops rapidly, leaving a crater in the roof of the main castle shortly before the sun flickers and goes out with a comedic "zzzt" like a light bulb, the illusion broken.

The creature stands warrily, rubble falling off of him as ornstein, the once great dragon slayer, rushes into the room and charges at the crature, his spear meeting the unyeilding 'flesh' and faltering before it grab the head and tugs him closer by it, uppercutting the fallen slayer out of the building and up on level with cosmos before he crashes down to anor londo once more, the souls feeding into the currently present chosen undead as the creature exits the room, crashing through the balcony due to it's weight but thankfully going no further thanks to the nature of the structure. Smough then joins it on the lower and attempts to wallop it like a nail with his great hammer, the creature stopping it with a single hand before running up and punching him in the rotund belly, launching him out of the castle and into the undead parish, the obligatory items dropping in front of the creature before it simply devours them, having no use for the trinkets.

Though, after a bit of finagling it rejoins the omegans through use of raw kinetic propulsion, keeping it's illogical flight stable through magic as it reassumes it's watching position now that the guardians of the realm had been dealt with

Kalus simply furrows his brow and mutters something along the lines of "why did they make an idiot king..." before asking "anyway, i don't really care why you're doing it, just bring us in on it cause we have a big, fuck off military that's doing nothing cause we want to maintain appearences" before leaving

"communications were being ignored, so i came instead" kalus replies evenly, twitching his fingers a bit before the soldier's weapons fall apart in their hands. "also, if you're going to threaten me, don't use our own weapons" kalus adds evenly as he leans against a nearby wall, adding evenly "you overthrow logar or did he just step down for you?" the last part seeming to be sarcasm
