@Lord of Evil Wanna cover the window part? I'm thinking they could try to get out somehow and use the tree to climb out, but if the branches are too thick....
Well, getting out of the creepy castle is the priority, so i dunno. And feel free to take over Mistletoe as well -- let's just share rights for her? I'm picturing her as a more reserved, kinder, and hesitant person that Kenza... you?
Kenza pranced up the stairs two or three at a time, sometimes skipping over so many steps that she thought that -- for a moment -- she'd overestimated her range and would wind up tripping in her haste. This worry, however, proved unwarranted as both she and Mistletoe made it up two full flights without trouble. The sudden discontinuation of Mistletoe's feet hitting stone steps prompted Kenza to slow down as well, and her eyes caught on the rubble littering the way up to the next floor.
"Should we continue?" Mistletoe asked, looking at the other girl for guidance. It was both unwise and presumptuous to make a decision alone, but a two out of three majority would be enough in a trio, she figured.
"The farther we get from the fliers, the better," Kenza said, picking up her previous pace again as she skirted pieces of rubble on her way up. Mistletoe followed quickly, casting a glance back at Derrick to make sure he had seen the two continuing up.
“Both ghost-types then?” Leisy asked, noticing that the way Ella’s Duskull moved — a gentle, drifting fashion that had just a touch of forcefulness when the Pokemon darted around — matched the way the pumpkin-topped Pokemon did. “Ghost-type moves are effective against other ghost-types, so watch out if they roughhouse,” she said, a little alarmed when the two Pokemon started chasing each other around. However, upon seeing the relaxed way the game progressed and hearing the bubble-like sounds from either Pokemon — laughter, she figured — Leisy calmed down, relieved the Pokemon were okay. “They get along well,” she observed, smiling as she watched the two spirits dart after each other, eyes aglow with mirth.
The sharp cry from Ella jolted Leisy out of her smiling stupor — something that always seemed to happen when she was watching Pokemon — just quick enough for the girl to spot the latter half of a glossy purple-topped cream coat disappearing behind a bush, the long tail lifted in satisfaction as it winked into the darkness. “Oh no you don’t!” she called as Bidein launched into action from his perch on a nearby branch, diving down from the canopy into the bushes. A fierce squawk and some muffled rustling ensued, both bird and cat leaping out from the bush immediately after. While the almost-raptor’s feathers were fluffed up in an attempt to intimidate his opponent, the feline looked unfazed, its brown paper prize still dangling from its mouth as it watched the bird calmly.
“Bidein, hold on,” Leisy called, walking over. Her approach caused the cat to look over, gold eyes silent and calculating as it watched the human bend down so that she seemed like less of a threat. “It’s alright,” she reassured it, retrieving a bag of Pokefood from her own bag. “It’s not right to steal things, but I understand why you do,” the girl said, pushing the new bag of berries over. “So take these instead and return the other one, alright?”
The cat’s eyes narrowed at the human’s words, itself unmoving in its spot as it considered the offer. Was it worth it to give up her prize in exchange for another one? This bag appeared the same externally, but perhaps it contained less berries than the other. There was no way to tell from where the Purrloin stood, and when she agreed to the trade it would be too late.
Seeing that the Pokemon was having some doubts, Leisy reached over and opened the bag, rolling down the sides so that it formed a makeshift bowl of sorts. “Here you are. Don’t be shy,” she said, sliding it over to the feline.
Shanae’s Houndour was quick to grumble about his designated role in the investigation — bloodhound as opposed to primary investigator — but his ears perked up instantly when he tried out a sniff. Recognizing the signs, Shanae grew hushed, following the Houndour quietly. Alright, Ebon. Lead the way, she thought, keeping pace next to her fire-type, her footsteps noticeably louder compared to her Pokemon’s. This, however, failed to bother the fire-type as he went right on with the trail, ear pricked and nose twitching.
The trail led the duo towards the back of the area where shrubs gave way to scattered boulders and rocks varying in size as much as the ground varied in color. Other than the shrubs, the ground was relatively clear of greenery — not that the dry, yellow bunches helped much.
Not much fauna out and about either, Shanae thought with a frown, following in her Houndour’s steps. [i]I guess it’s the fate of a city founded and living on industry — grand and lonely, rich with variety and invention but poor at the same time.
A soft growl from Ebon told Shanae that they were close, and she nodded at the fire-type to show that she was ready to see what was around the bend of the large earthen hill they’d come to a stop beside. A nest, perhaps? Most Pokemon are aggressively territorial around their nests, so this wouldn’t be the ideal place to host a fight, she thought, steps slow and measured and body pressed close to the side of the mound as she rounded the corner, head craned to get a glimpse of whatever it was that had her Houndour on edge.
A heavy thumping noise from behind her jolted Shanae into a flinch as she flattened herself against the hill in surprise. “Marvin?” the woman asked in surprise as the boy’s Onix pulled to a halt a few meters away from her, dipping its head down to allow its trainer to climb off.
“Heya — just thought I’d check up on you, but it looks like you really do need me around,” Marvin Terra said, a smug grin on his face.

@Silver Fox Haha pretty much the same for me here though (gaming, i mean). I too apologize for my posting speed as of late -- I've been getting into a variety of things (reading, watching shows, gaming, etc) and half-neglecting my duties as GM & my title as the most active poster (which is currently @luckyblackcat, since the guilt of making her wait always chases me these days). I hope the best to you and me, especially since I wish to get back into writing more.
As you may have noticed, a new organization has been added in the "CS" tab. This organization was the brainchild of @luckyblackcat and myself, and it's our first "antagonist" organization! Hopefully the creation of this guild will stir up some creative juices, spur some action, and draw some new people into our RP. I will be posting a new interest thread up specifically to recruit people into this organization, but will also be pitching the RP as a whole for added benefits.
Our group, as you can probably see, has been growing smaller and smaller, and I'm eager to recruit new people. Sadly, many seem to feel that our RP is too "established" (which it is, but it also isn't). If any of you have friends or acquaintances you feel would find a place in this RP, (please) feel free to extend an invitation to them from me! I'm ready to take on any and all questions/concerns/thoughts and whatever else anyone has with the power I have as residing GM :)
Despite having the privilege to live alongside Pokemon, most people fail to recognize this privilege and instead believe it to be a right or even a god-given mission. Our mission is to correct this misunderstanding with whatever means necessary — to liberate the Pokemon and allow them to pick and choose their trainers. Pokemon have suffered in silence for much too long, but they will now have a voice and a hand to serve and aid them. Those unable to properly train their Pokemon do not deserve to be trainers, and The Causality aims to weed the tainted ranks of unworthy trainers.
Organization History:
Founded over Six years ago, The Causality was sown as a seed by founder Fallon Accardi but quickly spread like wildfire, drawing enlightened and worthy trainers into its ranks. Now one of the largest organizations in the regions, its ranks include everyone from beginner-rank trainers to master-rank champions that share a common goal: to liberate Pokemon from unworthy trainers and uphold Pokemons’ rights rather than humans’.
Over the years, many incidents involving the organization have happened, garnering both criticism and support from the public. Misunderstanding the organization’s end goals is widespread among members, but so is eviction. The Causality is as brutally strict with the world as it is with its own members, and any sort of offense against Pokemon will lead to immediate probation if not eviction. Members are held in check by the organization’s Captains who are in turn managed by the Commanders. Only those who have been around long enough are said to have had the privilege to meet the founder, and thus many believe the master-rank trainer to be but a myth — a legend to scare the members into line and ward off any action from law enforcement. Such is unneeded, however, since members rarely even get the chance to meet those of higher rank than themselves; secrecy and privacy lay the basis of the organization, and those foolish enough to ignore this unspoken rule are said to have suffered severe consequences.
Bonus Points:
1 Point: Members will earn extra trainer points whenever they make an interact with or make an impact on Pokemon, good or bad. This is self-evaluated by trainers and logged into the system, and any abuse may be subject to investigation and subsequent eviction.
5 Points: Members will earn five extra trainer points when they garner widespread public attention in some way that upholds the organization’s mission statement. Whether or not these requirements are met will be judged by organization Captains (or Commanders), and any complaints as to the ruling may be ignored completely. You will receive a message through your Pokedex if you have been approved.
10 Points: Members will earn ten points when they reclaim a Pokemon from an unworthy trainer, be it through legal or illegal means. Again, judgement will be carried out by Captains (or Commanders). Again, a message will be sent if you have been approved for this bonus.
Membership Requirements:
Pass a personalized initiation overseen by one of the Captains (or Commanders). Of course, you’ll have to find a Captain (or Commander) first.

Mission Channel:
Upon joining the organization, trainers will submit their Pokedexes for alteration. After getting it back, they will find that they will be able to access a specialized app linked to the organization’s server. Although messages only come from the server and to the members, they may use the app to communicate with other members they have met and registered within the app, including their primary Captain (or Commander), who will keep track of their mission progress and report it to the organization through a channel only accessible to Captains and Commanders.

Additional lore and information for interested parties, written in OOC language.
The Initiation Process:
A completely optional part of joining the organization, although it is preferred that — if you choose to skip this step — you mention it in a post pertaining to your character’s joining the organization either before or after they actually join (flashbacks are fine too). As trainers can start off as Captain or Commander as well, whether or not to participate in this sequence is up to your discretion. The process, if you are interested, will go be a scenario-like session like so:
First, in order to even be considered as an initiate, your character will have to track down an existing Captain (or Commander). This Captain will serve as their “main Captain” in the future, meaning that they will be the “overseer” for your particular trainer and point your trainer towards missions and send reports to the organization about your trainer. Your Captain can be a fellow user (if you wish to do collabs) or a NPC (if you wish to solo post). Further information about Captains can be found in the section below. Once your trainer has made contact with the Captain and piqued the Captain’s interest enough for him or her to offer your trainer a spot in the organization, the actual initiation will start.
The initiation is a test that can be anything you want. Terms are discussed via PM or OOC chat and, again, are completely optional (although recommended because they make for interesting plot fodder). Some examples of terms are:
Give up one of your Pokemon for the good of the organization. (This Pokemon will either be released, held until your character passes another test, or returned at a later date. Just reclaim it in a post if desired).
Win a battle, either against a random NPC or against your chosen Captain (or Commander). The NPC will presumably be breaking one of the organization’s missions and thus “deserve” whatever’s coming at them. The Captain, of course, will be fighting the battle depending on the terms set via OOC or over PM.
Throughout the process, however, your trainer will be eligible for organization bonuses even though they are not technically part of the organization yet. You may choose whether to have the points just be added to your trainer’s account or to have your trainer claim the points after their official recognition as a member. The initiation will end after your character has satisfied whatever terms outlined over PM or OOC, and the process will end with their Pokedex being collected, altered, and returned. The process of your character’s initiation is basically a self-motivated, self-chosen story you can write — completely voluntary and a sure-join if you wish it to be.
Organization Layout, Members, and Duties:
Non-members: All people, trainers or not, are viable candidates for the organization. The only requirement for them to join is contact with and approval from an existing Captain (or Commander), which can be hard to acquire due to the anonymity and secrecy that pervades the organization.
Pre-initiates: After making contact with an existing Captain (or Commander), non-members will be subject to initiation, of which will be discussed over PM or OOC if desired. These members informally reap all the benefits of a full-fledged member, although they are not yet allowed to take missions (duh).
Member: The average “grunt” of an organization, these members are watched over by the Captain or Commander that carried out their initiation and are able to take on and complete missions. Numerous and rather looked down upon by Captains and commanders, these members are constantly vying to rise above the glass ceiling between membership and Captainship.
Captains: These members have passed the first glass ceiling (usually through promotion by a Commander) and earned the right to oversee other members. Captains in charge of members are expected to send reports of member activity to through a special channel that feeds to Commanders, documenting everything from achievement to level of publicity and recommendation of eviction. [Everything here is by choice of poster; feel free to ignore your duties completely, although another captain may step in and fill your shoes if one of your assigned members requires it.] Another glass ceiling stands between Captains and Commanders, mostly because a promotion to Commandership requires approval from Fallon (who is an NPC, although it is preferred if you refer to @Dusksong or @LuckyBlackCat for permission before you post as her). As meeting her is hard enough, usually promotion to Commandership requires some sort of groundbreaking action or publicity stunt.
Commanders: The highest-ranking group of members, Commanders tend to rank Skilled and above. All have made contact with Fallon at least once (although perhaps not in person as contact with her is rare as-is). Commanders are expected to oversee both members and captains, meeting every week or so IC to discuss the happenings in the organization — possible promotions, evictions, and everything in-between. They are the ones who put up and approve missions, as well as the ones who have the final say as to happenings within the organization. (Duties may be taken over temporarily if users are inactive, users are open to return and resume activities any time.)
Unspoken Rules
Silence is Golden: Never discuss organization-related information with someone not related to the organization. As members are not sure as to each other’s identities, this may very well lead to a deadlock in which members remain isolated . In such circumstances, members may request that their Commander or Captain put them in contact with a fellow member, but the sharing of information with anyone not inside the organization is immediate grounds for eviction and punishment (carried out without regards to the law, of course).
Fallon is a Myth, a Legend, a Leader: Be it Commander, Captain, or member, there is an unspoken rule that no one should talk about Fallon. Supported by superstition that she has eyes everywhere and relatively omnipotent and omnipresent (if psychic-types are real, she might as well be), speaking about her is considered bad luck. Although her existence is questionable, it is a given to all members and should not be questioned (even if the Commanders are the only ones that know the truth). Commanders too are hesitant to talk about her as many of their fellows are loyal to a fault and any bad-mouthing may result in immediate protest from another Commander.
United Under One Flag: Sharing tips and training together is common among members of the organization, especially after they’ve made contact with one another. This is primarily because one of the organization’s missions is to hone trainers’ skills as Pokemon trainers, sharpening both their and their Pokemon’s skills.
Above the Law: There is a general atmosphere within the organization that members are “above the law.” While this does not mean that all actions are condoned (stealing a trainer’s Pokemon must be justified properly; you cannot steal a “worthy” trainer’s Pokemon), many believe it to be so and end up testing their eviction.
The Pokecorp Feud: The Causality has held a long-standing feud against everything Pokecorp. In their eyes, the company is an attempt to monetize Pokemon, and it’s working. For the members of the organization, Pokemon training is a privilege given by Pokemon, not by people with wealth and influence. Thus, members of The Causality are allowed and even encouraged to sabotage Pokecorp in any way possible.

Fallon Accardi
31 | Female
Rank:
Master
Organization:
The Causality (Allegedly)
Occupation:
Past: Region Champion Current: Unknown
Appearance:
Her trainer profile states that Fallon stands at a tall 5’11” with blazing maroon hair and piercing purple eyes. Accounts from past opponents recount that the woman easily calls attention to herself when she enters the room and is usually cold and apathetic towards others, warding away people rather than drawing them towards her. Varying mixtures of admiration, jealousy, and spite can be found within these accounts, painting a picture of a lone wolf whose fangs only grew sharper with time.
Biography:
Not much is known to the public about Fallon’s past other than that she was once a legendary trainer who claimed the title of region champion in all the known regions and was widely known as one of the strongest trainers alive. Despite the publicity and admirance, Fallon mysteriously fell off the grid, losing most of her fame and earning her much criticism. While still a legend among those aspiring to be champions, she’s now a relatively unknown figure to most of the public.
Two years after her disappearance, an organization sprouted up, proffering Fallon’s name when asked for the founder. Varying accounts of sightings have been documented within and without the organization, painting a portrait of an enigmatic overseer who deals both justice and injustice with a merciless hand. An avenging angel to some and a seraph to others, Fallon has grown from a mere trainer into a sort of legend. Some claim to have glimpsed her training in the woods, while others swear that they’ve been robbed of their Pokemon by someone matching her description. Others still put forth that Fallon actually passed away in a terrible accident, thus resulting in her disappearance. Opinions vary widely, and nothing is for sure. Through all of it, however, it is clear that the master-rank trainer — if still in the world of the living — lives above the law that binds most trainers.

Pokemon Party
Fallon’s party, as according to her last Championship tournament.
A quick trip through town landed the trainer duo some port staples as most of the lunchtimes vendors were either starting to clean up or had already done so. Leisy had fetched her Fletchinder a small carton of fresh sardines — which the bird Pokemon inhaled happily — and herself a take-out box of rice topped with some fried veggies, most likely from one of the village’s small farms or such. The duo paused at the outskirts of the town to quickly polish off their food — both being ravenous after their day-long fast — before starting off towards Feyhollow at a brisk pace.
“I wonder if Vivian’s doing well,” Leisy said, focusing on her pacing feet. Her confidence in her own abilities had seen a boost after she’d learned that she’d managed to complete the mission involving Darkrai, but at the same time she’d been doubtful. Darkrai hadn’t been looking to hurt the trainers — he’d merely wanted someone to entertain him. A plaything. And he’d gotten that, in a way, so he’d left. There had been no test of her skill as a trainer, no test of her improvement. Only of her personal willpower.
I suppose that will have to be enough for now, she thought, glancing at the Fletchinder squeezed on her shoulder. Bidein’s new weight — although heavier than before — was becoming familiar now, as was bracing herself before he landed. Keeping in mind that, one day, her lovable, not-so-little Fletchinder would grow into a full-sized raptor, Leisy wanted to treasure every moment she could that involved Bidein’s current size. Let me baby you for a bit more, she thought, reaching over and bopping the bird Pokemon on the beak to get its attention. Successfully gaining it, she earned a light nip at her hair in return before the fire types eyes refocused on the woods, the sharpest pair of eyes in the group keeping steady vigil.
A little over two hours into their trek, Leisy called for a water break, and the pair of trainers found a nice little clearing with some logs. Taking a seat on one of the fallen trees, Leisy pulled out her water bottle and began to unscrew it when she noticed a funny orange object next to one of the logs.
“Huh. Is that… a pumpkin?” she asked, standing. Getting Ella’s attention, the two trainers approached the oddly-placed vegetable.
“Agreed on the pictures,” Cillian said with a grin, camera at the ready. “And I don’t know what we’ll be able to learn from a statue alone… Perhaps we could ask a local about it, if we want to learn about its history,” Cillian suggested to Tora as the trio of trainers made their way to the location of the statue.
Cillian’s first impressions of the monument went something along the lines of: big — no, giant — and mossy. Definitely old. Looks like some sort of ancient machine or robot. The dots are oddly-placed and slightly freaky.
Luckily, however, his brain recovered enough to shut down his incoherent thoughts and trade them for more evaluative ones — ones that found ways to appreciate the way a few dainty, mundane-colored butterflies fluttered about the moss on the humanoid figure’s shoulders and the angle at which the sunlight fell on the gentle giant. His camera captured these moments, himself silent as he focused on aligning the statue with the device in his hands. Photography was always like this, allowing Cillian to tap into a calmer, more contemplative side of himself that he normally didn’t show. Although he was sometimes completely oblivious to the way his demeanour changed, Cillian adopted his normal attitude again once he’d finished his short vacation with nature, his camera — lens covered — returning to its spot around his neck.
“You’re right about the dots looking like a face,” Cillian said, tipping his head as he evaluated the statue again, “but then where is its mouth? Its nose?” After a moment’s thought, he shrugged, a grin gracing his face again. “Well, I guess it’s just another mystery of nature.”
