Name: Khuno
Age: 19
Allegiance: Ikmandhu Tribe
Appearance:
He is short, but athletic, with thick and muscular arms to help him climb trees and vines. His skin is dark, darker than most of the people of his tribe, but it slightly shines copper-like tones when it meets sunlight. His deep green eyes contrast his skin tone, they resemble the colour of the emeralds he carries on his necklace, along with many other gems, stones and pebbles. His hair is thick, but short. He cuts it regularly with a knife so that it doesn’t get in the way of his hunting. He dresses with dark leather trousers and a slightly lighter coloured leather vest, decorated with various coloured hand-drawn symbols on the back of it.
Personality:
Khuno is hot-tempered, often making mistakes because of his rash decisions. He knows this has caused him trouble in the past, but he can’t help it. His temper does not translate to him being a violent person, he thinks diplomacy and conversation is always the best way to solve problems, however his lack of patience makes it fairly hard to solve an argument if someone has an opposed opinion to Khuno’s. Most people see him as a strong leader, capable of managing diplomatic relations with other tribes, as well as leading a fearsome army.
Khuno is particularly bitter towards the Lurish people. At first, he saw them as guests who were simply visiting the land. Soon he realised that they did not consider the Ikmandhu’s land to be owned by anyone, and that they were planning to claim it themselves. From this point onwards he respected them, and was still fascinated by their technology and their knowledge, but hated them for not respecting his people.
Background:
As the son of the Ikmandhu’s leader Khuno was expected to be a great leader, so his mother tried to educate him to be an eloquent and respectful person toward others, in which she single-handedly succeeded. However, Khuno would always try to escape from his mother’s sight to train his hunter skills. He wanted to follow his deceased father’s legacy as the best hunter in the tribe’s history. His mother had already suffered enough with her husband’s death; she didn’t want his son to follow the same path.
Khuno progressively improved his skills as he gained more freedom from her mother, to the point that he was ascended from hunter to fighter, as an official defender of the tribe. At first, he mastered the use of the bow and arrow and the spear, as they were the main hunting weapons, after that, the fighters saw potential in Khuno, and decided to train him in combat.
He is destined to be the tribe’s leader when his mother eventually meets her husband again in the afterlife. In the meantime, he just continues training and hunting, because he knows that soon he will need to be ready to defend his land.
