Player Name:
Unknown100

Primary Character:
Knight

Secret Identity:
Gabriella Knighthood is the identity, she has acquired in a back alley. However, a thorough look would reveal this person to have lived so much off the grit until age 19, that she might as well be invisible. That fact alone might be highly suspicious.
Her real name, and unknown to even the Justice League, is Grail, the Godkiller, destroyer of worlds, and daughter of Darkseid himself.

Status:
JLU

Age:
27 years old.

City:
Metropolis

Day Job:
A consultant over at S.T.A.R. Labs. Very much a freelance job.

Powers:
Having fled Apokolips at a young age, Grail had yet to reach her full potential. However, the fact that she would one day match her father in strength became a real possibility, even without the prophecy. Like her father, she draws her divine strength from the eternal flames of Apokolips, and on the day of her escape her Omega Beam finally manifested itself.
Her human form might seem immensely more fragile in comparison. Still, Grail (or Knight as she would then call herself) is not to be trifled with.

Enhanced healing: The only slight sign that Knight might not be entirely human. Injuries that would take weeks to heal can take mere days, in some cases hours.

Weaknesses:

Standard human weaknesses. A bullet can kill her.

Her weaknesses, should she ever revert back to her old self, would be the dependence on having to restore her energy from the fires of her homeworld. Should she encounter something that can suck or absorb her energy, she would also be left severely weakened.

Skills:
In dept knowledge of extra-dimensional point-to-point Einstein-Rosen bridges. Actually, the whole concept of teleporting matter through time and space is known to her. She can’t exactly build a Mother Box from scratch, but knows enough to guide human scientists in the right direction (though she uses this knowledge to do the complete opposite)

Martial Arts: an expert in tae kwon do, judo, kick-boxing and judgement; a fighting style known only to the citizens of Apokolips.

Advanced utilization of one’s environment: As she fights she can use her environment and surroundings to her advantage. Sometimes she stabs a robber with his own knife, sometimes she drops a chandelier onto a team of criminals. Sometimes all she needs is a pen to do some real damage.

Appearance:
When just walking down the street, glasses and a cheap pair of jeans does wonder to hide her identity.

BRIEF Bio:

On planet Earth, Grail made a new life for herself using technology taken from her home. The advancements of Apokolips allowed her to undergo a fairly short, but most exhausting transformation into human form. A disguise that would hopefully protect both herself, her unborn child and Earth from the wrath of Darkseid. Suddenly everything hurt, and fear became so much more tangible when having to be a mere human. Despite having to adapt to this new, brittle reality, she gave birth to a beautiful, human son with nothing of his grandfather in him. She named him Steve, named herself Gabriella Knighthood and made it a duty to repay the universe. Where she had used her skills to kill, she would use them to save. Along side a woman named Martha she deliberately avoided teaching Steve anything about fighting or violence.

Now 8 years later, she’s a member of the Justice League Unlimited as Knight. At least 3 members had noticed her missing past, namely Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman, with only the former being inclined not to ask questions at all. Now he’s gone, and Knight dreads the day someone digs a little deeper.
Occasionally, she acts as a kind of freelance consultant of S.T.A.R. Labs. It started out with her simply wanting to pay the expensive medical bills of her son, but evolved into something completely different. Knight is not trying to help humans develop teleportation, she’s actively leading the geniuses working at the lab the wrong way. Making sure they’ll never attract the attention of her father, who’s civilization has already perfected it.

Supporting Characters:
Steve: Knight's 5 year old son and only real love. Though being absolutely human, Earth hasn’t been kind to him and more times than not, he’s been sick. For obvious reasons he knows about her membership in the Justice League.

Martha: A common name on Earth. This 40-year-old woman acts as a nanny to Steve and at times a sort of mentor to Knight, having been at war more times than she can count. She has a back-problem that makes her limp and hunch.

(Possibly) Orion: Another child of Darkseid, nevertheless, fighting for the survival of New Genesis as its prominent commander on the battlefield. An expert tracker and piloting the Astro-Harnes; an interstellar vehicle of great power. Should he and Knight ever meet, things would get ugly real fast.

Secondary Character:
Darkseid. (name followed by dramatic music)

Additional Notes:
My character is more or less completely human, and can’t just revert back to her old self just because the circumstances calls for it. Her old strength came from the fires of Apokolips, at the other side of the universe. Should she ever regain her former strength, her power level can be discussed then, but I was imagining her to be up there with the likes of Superman and Darkseid.

Okay. Ya have anything in mind?

I'm tempted to straight up steal the CW Captain Cold because Wentworth Miller is awesome.

"Make the plan,
execute the plan,
expect the plan to go off the rails,
...throw away the plan."

I'll try not to though. Can't guarantee I won't at least steal a quote or two.

I can send you a pm later today, and we can work out the details.
By the way, if any of the Leaguers want to have faced Cold while he was still a villain, let me know and we'll talk. I was purposefully vague about his past encounters with heroes for a reason. In canon it's supposed to have been the Flash, but since there's no guarantee we'll have a Flash, I was intentionally vague in the bio so any one or more hero characters can fill the blanks in Flash's place.

Uh, I think I would like that ;)
Working hard on my CS
How many street-level characters do we have so far in the coming rp? Cause I was thinking about writing one that at least in the first part (and probably for the longest time) was one.

Edit: just in terms of teaming up and stuff.
I'm juggling the idea of a daughter of Darkseid who's hiding in exile on Earth from her father. Though she was born to become a worthy heir, she has chosen to become human, and live a life of fighting crime on street level.
Of course, it's going to escalate to world changing events, however it's going to start out very low level. I think that might have a lot of possibilities.
My job has absolutely drained me for the last couple of months. However, I kept following the previous rp, thinking that I might return some day.

I've quit my job and got 2 weeks left from today. Then hopefully I got more energy and will. And at that point I might be very interested in joining, if you will still have me.
@Unknown100 Sad to see ya go, good luck with whatever's been draining ya!

It's my job. And planning to quit and finding a new one.
If I don't find a new one I will have a lot of spare time and might just return ;)
I'm sorry to say that I think I'm pulling out too. Originally, I was waiting for Lord Wrath to respond. But a lot of things are happening in my life right now, and I just don't feel I have the energy to be in a rp. When I do get the energy back I might come crawling back to this one though, begging for you all to take me back.

G O T H A M C I T Y:

May 16th, 2019 - 22:13 | University Row - Burnside

The previous night had been long and dull. Aside from the excitement of the purse snatcher, everything else had been a waste of Rose’s time. Several fires had been lit across the city, though as she quickly found out, most had been a promotional stunt for a locally produced horror film, ‘The Curse of the Firefly’. The few fires that weren’t controlled weren’t exactly up her alley, and no culprit was readily available for punishing nor was there even a suspect.

Returning home during the early hours of the morning, Rose had collapsed on her bed, barely out of costume, awakening shortly after noon. She spent the afternoon cleaning her weapons, reloading each magazine for her belt and oiling the blades of her swords. Each and every weapon was kept in pristine condition, including those kept on display. The accent wall of the safe house dining room was laid out with various weapons that Rose had taken a liking to in her travels.

With her daily weapon cleaning complete, Rose had taken an earlier shift at Staggers before returning to the safe house. No sooner had she walked through the front door than her phone had decided to alert Rose of an incoming message.

Batgirl,

The Birds require your assistance. Rendezvous with Batwoman in the East End.

~O.

Rose furrowed her brow as she looked out into the Gotham night as a flash of lightning illuminated the city’s skyline. Hopefully Ish had made her suit waterproof.

Rain and wind was only really felt against the soft surface of Batwoman's cheeks and forehead, and it would take a real cascade of lightning strikes to penetrate the insulated lairs of the suit. What had seemed like lead, pulling her down into the deep no more than 24 hours ago, now isolated her from the wrath of Gotham’s whether.

Nothing good had ever happened on a night like this, and it was as if God himself wanted to put the city under water. But not even the continuing waterfall could drown the concerns Oracle had inflicted in Batwoman.

Like a statue she had been standing half a block from Selina’s penthouse, tightening her fists until they threatened to break.

Whatever was going on was like a fire that continued to spread. The update on recent events told its own convoluted story: Lady Blackhawk had removed 6 kneecaps with her AUG only to find out the Cosa Nostra crime family had completely dropped all attempt at finding Catwoman. Their suitcases were full, and they allegedly seemed prepared to leave town for a long time. Huntress, on the other hand, had been faced by near suicidal mobsters when she tried to infiltrate the residence of The Great White. Batwoman could make little sense of it all.

The sky roared and she turned her head, just slightly, without actually looking at Rose as the girl arrived. “You came…”

"I was bored." The Batgirl stated as she dropped onto the roof behind the Batwoman. "You know how I like to spend my Thursday evenings, fuckin' soaked and waiting to be struck by lightning on East End rooftops." Rose smirked beneath her cowl.

"Shame my body would just be mistaken for a hooker on this end of the damned city." Standing, she moved beside Batwoman as she continued to speak. "At least in my end of the woods, I'd just look like a drunk sorority girl in a fuckin' costume."

The woman beside her remained stoic, obviously uninterested in banter.

She could be his fuckin' sister.

"O's message seemed urgent. What's the situation?" Rose asked, deciding there was no point in waiting for a response to her antics.

“I’ll give you the short version. There’s a new Catwoman in town. Suppose to be more or less as good as the old one. She stole … we don't know. Something that seems to make every damn criminal, who means something, very keen on hunting her. Maybe they don't quite know what it is either. However, in mere days this girl has made more enemies than the original did in her whole career. Oracle believes a city-wide anger drives the witch-hunt, but, I don’t know, some of it seems a lot like desperation... possibly fear. Whatever all this means, we need to be ahead of it before it bleeds into the whole of Gotham and not just the criminal part. In the end it will most likely influence your work also, if allowed to spread. So, I’m going to stir up a bit of trouble right at the source, and that might just catch the attention of a certain burglar. Originally, I was going to rely on Huntress for this bit. But just in case the new Cat is as fast as they say, I need someone who can match it and then some. That's where you come in.” Batwoman followed the explanation by raising her hand in the direction of the penthouse.

“Sitting comfortably in there is old Selina Kyle. All criminal charges were dropped almost 20 years ago, and we’re just supposed to believe she’s now a law-abiding citizen with no ties to her past. I’ve watched her for quite some time, and I can tell you: She’s tense. Like an Academy Award-winning actress, she’s got ways to hide it, sure. But when she turns her head it’s clear, she’s defiantly tightening the lower neck-muscles because of some anxiety.”

The howling wind came as to confirm the suspicion.

Only now did Batwoman actually face Rose, moved right up to her side. “Now, every woman lies to herself about something,” Kate continued. “Whether it’s big or small we’ll find her lie, and crack her right open.”

Her earpiece made a noise and she signaled the other woman that Oracle was calling. After about half a minute Batwoman faced her once more.

“You know about Warren White, right? The Great White Shark. For the first time in months Batwoman actually let real doubt show on her face, before removing all signs of such emotions. “Apparently, his entire residence has been leveled. An explosion it seems. Details are still scarce, but we are defiantly pressed for time. Anyway, if you’re in, I was thinking you could handle Selina while I took a look around. And if so: How do you wanna deal with her? Make her all emotional? All sweaty? All bloody? I'm open to suggestions.”

"If that's the short version, I'd fuckin' hate to hear the long version." Batgirl yawned as she mockingly stretched her arms. "Catwoman used to trade blows with the god-damned Batman, I doubt there's much we can do to make her sweat, or emotional." Rose stated matter of factually.

"However, I can make her bloody as hell." She continued as she drew one of her blades from the back of her waist. "I've made cartel leaders squeal like the little fuckin' pigs they are." Cracking her neck, Rose strode over to the edge of the roof before turning back to look at Batwoman.

"So, shall we get this show on the fuckin' road?"
