Player Name:
Unknown100
Primary Character:
Knight
Secret Identity:
Gabriella Knighthood is the identity, she has acquired in a back alley. However, a thorough look would reveal this person to have lived so much off the grit until age 19, that she might as well be invisible. That fact alone might be highly suspicious.
Her real name, and unknown to even the Justice League, is Grail, the Godkiller, destroyer of worlds, and daughter of Darkseid himself.
Status:
JLU
Age:
27 years old.
City:
Metropolis
Day Job:
A consultant over at S.T.A.R. Labs. Very much a freelance job.
Powers:
Having fled Apokolips at a young age, Grail had yet to reach her full potential. However, the fact that she would one day match her father in strength became a real possibility, even without the prophecy. Like her father, she draws her divine strength from the eternal flames of Apokolips, and on the day of her escape her Omega Beam finally manifested itself.
Her human form might seem immensely more fragile in comparison. Still, Grail (or Knight as she would then call herself) is not to be trifled with.
Enhanced healing: The only slight sign that Knight might not be entirely human. Injuries that would take weeks to heal can take mere days, in some cases hours.
Weaknesses:
Standard human weaknesses. A bullet can kill her.
Her weaknesses, should she ever revert back to her old self, would be the dependence on having to restore her energy from the fires of her homeworld. Should she encounter something that can suck or absorb her energy, she would also be left severely weakened.
Skills:
In dept knowledge of extra-dimensional point-to-point Einstein-Rosen bridges. Actually, the whole concept of teleporting matter through time and space is known to her. She can’t exactly build a Mother Box from scratch, but knows enough to guide human scientists in the right direction (though she uses this knowledge to do the complete opposite)
Martial Arts: an expert in tae kwon do, judo, kick-boxing and judgement; a fighting style known only to the citizens of Apokolips.
Advanced utilization of one’s environment: As she fights she can use her environment and surroundings to her advantage. Sometimes she stabs a robber with his own knife, sometimes she drops a chandelier onto a team of criminals. Sometimes all she needs is a pen to do some real damage.
Appearance:
When just walking down the street, glasses and a cheap pair of jeans does wonder to hide her identity.
BRIEF Bio:
On planet Earth, Grail made a new life for herself using technology taken from her home. The advancements of Apokolips allowed her to undergo a fairly short, but most exhausting transformation into human form. A disguise that would hopefully protect both herself, her unborn child and Earth from the wrath of Darkseid. Suddenly everything hurt, and fear became so much more tangible when having to be a mere human. Despite having to adapt to this new, brittle reality, she gave birth to a beautiful, human son with nothing of his grandfather in him. She named him Steve, named herself Gabriella Knighthood and made it a duty to repay the universe. Where she had used her skills to kill, she would use them to save. Along side a woman named Martha she deliberately avoided teaching Steve anything about fighting or violence.
Now 8 years later, she’s a member of the Justice League Unlimited as Knight. At least 3 members had noticed her missing past, namely Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman, with only the former being inclined not to ask questions at all. Now he’s gone, and Knight dreads the day someone digs a little deeper.
Occasionally, she acts as a kind of freelance consultant of S.T.A.R. Labs. It started out with her simply wanting to pay the expensive medical bills of her son, but evolved into something completely different. Knight is not trying to help humans develop teleportation, she’s actively leading the geniuses working at the lab the wrong way. Making sure they’ll never attract the attention of her father, who’s civilization has already perfected it.
Supporting Characters:
Steve: Knight's 5 year old son and only real love. Though being absolutely human, Earth hasn’t been kind to him and more times than not, he’s been sick. For obvious reasons he knows about her membership in the Justice League.
Martha: A common name on Earth. This 40-year-old woman acts as a nanny to Steve and at times a sort of mentor to Knight, having been at war more times than she can count. She has a back-problem that makes her limp and hunch.
(Possibly) Orion: Another child of Darkseid, nevertheless, fighting for the survival of New Genesis as its prominent commander on the battlefield. An expert tracker and piloting the Astro-Harnes; an interstellar vehicle of great power. Should he and Knight ever meet, things would get ugly real fast.
Secondary Character:
Darkseid. (name followed by dramatic music)
Additional Notes:
My character is more or less completely human, and can’t just revert back to her old self just because the circumstances calls for it. Her old strength came from the fires of Apokolips, at the other side of the universe. Should she ever regain her former strength, her power level can be discussed then, but I was imagining her to be up there with the likes of Superman and Darkseid.
