Awesome! Now that is a far superior post that I believe will help everyone get an idea about what's going on with their character and aid in their post. If you can just keep this level of quality throughout you'll be golden! Very late for me now, I shall get a post up tomorrow.

I think the problem is that as a GM your responsibility is to set up a living story that your players feel involved in. Of course I only speak for myself but your first IC post seems to be more along the lines that you are a player waiting for the GM to tell you how everything goes.

In my opinion this post is difficult to respond to as it is not exactly a well written first post. I feel that the very beginning of an RP should set the mood or tone. Give us an idea of the general goings on of the land, or perhaps a problem or event that everyone happens to be involved in. While yours seems little more than you writing your character's story and expecting us to play along or be part of it with little to no incentive.

Context and descriptiveness are key. If you wish to be a GM, and of course, this is still just my opinion. You must detach yourself from simply playing a character and make us all feel immersed in the world or story that you create.

Any thoughts anyone?

Hope I am not intruding, but I gotta ask, probably because I am too inept to tell. Do you happen to be searching for more members at this time? I think the answer is no, but I'm posting simply to be sure. It has been a difficult journey searching for a worthwhile One Piece RP. Whatever happens, good luck!

I think a little more context could go long way. I'm interested in the setting, where do we happen to be / what's the general make up of this island or town that we've come upon. I think that'll help get an idea of why any of us are actuall there to begin with, whether it is of any consequence or not.

Also a jolly roger with a mustache of flexing muscles is incredibly badass.

Alright, well here we go! And looks like I am number one.

Axel Bauer

Axel Bauer

Age – 43
Gender – Male

Appearance - As depicted above. Often wearing a white button up shirt, connected to green slacks by suspenders. Occasionally seen with a generic red with white polka-dots bandanna. Standing at around 6'4" with glorious rippling muscles. Axel exudes an aura of manliness.

Personality – Axel is a man of staunch patience and determination with a quite thick Scandinavian accent. Always wearing a hearty smile and giving friendly handshakes. He is a man of extreme manliness and glorious facial hair. Often acting as a fatherly figure or advice giver, some may see him only as a mountain of muscle, yet there is an intense thoughtfulness within him. Often does he lose himself in ancient memories and love for nature. With his rather strong willpower his convictions may never fail

He is at the very core a manly man, one who would sooner sacrifice his own life to save those less fortunate. Though he cannot exactly recall why that decision has been made. A deep love for all life is heavily rooted in his psyche, and it shows through his travels. Due to such, Axel is a very peaceful man.

Arsenal – What more is needed than his mighty muscles?

Biography – Growing up as an orphan on a rough and tumble island in the North Blue is about as hard as you can expect. At such a young age children often left alone at home, whether by abandonment, disease, wars, or simple tragedy, learned quickly to take care of themselves. Of course, Axel was no different, for at the ripe age of five the young boy was ripped of his parents by a sweeping plague. Such horrors for children to witness. Not only the atrophy of pestilence, but the inhumanity that comes with it.

Life goes on, or so they say, and the rest of the world is ignorant to the fate of orphan boys with no future. Everyone except for a certain group of entertainers that changed young Axel's life around. A traveling circus of different men and women from all walks of life seemed to take quite an interest in those poor family-less kids. Axel saw one thing in this troupe of merry makers, more than the joy they brought to young boys and girls, no, it was hope. Hope for a future off the desolate rock.

So of course the young and scrawny little Axel stowed away in the circus ship as they were getting ready to leave. And with a final goodbye to the island in which he grew up harshly, the boy was off to see what the world had to offer him. Eventually those of the circus had accepted and welcomed the boy with open arms. In a way, they became the family he never truly had. His first fond memories consisted of the jovial nature of their travels. Whether it be putting smiles upon the faces of children or the simple merriment of his band of entertainers, Axel was happy.

Under going many changes, the once scrawny and bullied boy learned much of the moral code that would define him from their lovely ringmaster. Becoming a strongman, Axel finally gained the strength to protect the innocent, and he learned quite a bit about the manliest facial hair there is. For many years, this was the standard in Axel's life as he became a greater and greater influence on those around him. But as we all know, all things come to an end.

Eventually the ringmaster had passed away peacefully. It was decided that the traveling circus could not continue without his mighty role and was thus disbanded amiably.

Over the course of the years he had spent as a circus entertainer, Axel has become physically powerful. As well as learning quite a bit about sailing as the circus traveled from island to island, But most of all, the man has obtained a deep respect for all life, no matter how wretched.

Ultimately, Axel hopes to find new meaning through his wanderlust. But most of all, he'd like to put smiles on the faces of those who need them most.
