History of Characters

Please note that this is really for my own purpose of nostalgia, to see my progress in character development and to cringe at my own creations. Feel free to cringe with me if you like.

Sadly I've deleted some of my character profiles due to withdrawing from rps and forgetting to record them. So I had more characters than what's shown here. These characters are sorted by date.

If you've noticed how all my character's names start with a 'K', then you certainly are an observant one. This is because 'K' is my favourite letter and also corresponds with my favourite number.

...Whoa......

Those writing skills are to die for.
That annoying mistake you make when you associate someone's profile picture with their character. It's why I opted to change mine to a shadow creature for the time being and pray it helps somebody remember generally what my character looks like..... though I'd rather refer to the character sheet's image.
Knutik flinched at the screech of a chair, his claws scratching against the window's glass as he pulled his hand away and whipped around prepared to hide if something had happened. The dangerous looking lady @ineffable from before was having a fit of displeasure, and the girl she was speaking with mere moments ago seemed to be radiating fear @Dark Light and singing a tune that rang out through the tavern like a rhyme, for just a second Knutik stopped, realizing that he was unconsciously inching towards her. His attention was redirected though when the lady called out for anyone that would join her to see the boss of the tavern. The shadow creature didn't understand how things like taverns worked or much of what a boss was, but this lady was exuding the most addictive of emotions to the shade; something akin to anger, frustration perhaps, and a light touch of violence, or was it determination? Before he could debate with himself he followed after her up the stairs, passing the nervous child along the way which earned him a strange shudder as he did. He almost bumped into the woman he was following as she stopped outside a door and considered another lady in the hall. @Alisdragon911

Knutik nodded looking relieved that his voice didn't seem to be scary which was his main concern. He felt more comfortable. "Okay then little human." He then proceeded to pat the dwarf on the head before turning to each corner of the tavern wondering if there was something else he could do. He looked to the lady @ineffable that requested for something to eat for herself and the little girl. Feeling a little in the way behind the bar the shade snaked his way through the air over to one of the tavern windows. He couldn't see through the glass very well, it was basically made to look blurred as if to hide the secret to the tavern's multiple locations. He tapped absentmindedly on the glass with his claws, contemplating shadows.
@Dannyrulx@Dark Light@Dannyrulx
So many new faces, so many different people. How many of them were actually humans? He wondered if he could even feed on fear from something that isn't human, he never tried... Regardless, the shade was getting bored and after his bout of exposure to all these strangers and new things he was feeling more comfortable and a little less shy. He floated over to the bar, passing the little girl who seemed to be conversing with a woman carving into the counter with a fancy knife, it looked dangerous. He approached a very short and gruff looking human who seemed to be very lost in dusting off drinking glasses. @Snarfulblast

He lifted a clawed finger and lightly tapped on the mans shoulder. He then pointed at himself and conjured a little shadow of a glass cup being cleaned with a cloth. He stopped and blinked a couple times before swatting the shadows away. He opened a mouth with pointed teeth, a green glow from within as if there was a green furnace burning within him. "U-... um..... I-I was wonder...ing... if maybe you... you would like some h-...help cleaning the glasses..." his voice was soft with a subtle echo yet growly at the same time. Knutik looked embarrassed about speaking.
Did a drastic rewrite of Knutik's character profile. Nothing changed away from everything I've already posted with him, but I'm gonna involve him in everything more so I felt it was needed. Don't have to read it if walls of text aren't your thing, but I turned him into a more tragic character.
Knutik felt relaxed enough to leave his hiding spot within the walls. For the moment he just hovered by the wall, holding his hands close to his chest looking unsure of what to do. He's been getting the nagging urge to scare people again, it truly was something he didn't have control over. He can go quite a while without scaring humans and feeding on their fear, but one time he went without doing so for too long despite the negative side effects it had on him, and he ended up snapping.... an entire school bus with children in half.

Yes he's a scare spirit, but one that only likes to spook people playfully. Sadly that doesn't produce the fear he feeds on. The only kind of fear that sustains him is the fear for their lives, the kind of fear that can traumatize and mentally scar an individual and it often involves physically harming that individual..... he doesn't like it. He never use to be so reluctant to scare people half to death before, he never use to be so shy either, in fact he had the best time of his existence during the dark ages. But that's a story for another time; right now he just hovered by the wall, lost in himself.
A tall shadow stretched out onto one of the tavern walls, a pair of glowing green eyes opening from it's own darkness to look towards the tavern door. Knutik had regained the courage to peek out from the shadows after his previous startle. He had heard, no, felt the tapping on the door. Gentle quiet vibrations echoing through the walls he was hiding in, ever so subtle. Knutik had different ways to sense the world around him than completely physical beings, one could say he could feel the wind outside despite being within the tavern. After the tapping repeated for the fifth time he wondered why it wasn't being answered and decided to investigate.

When he opened his eyes to the main room he curiously watched as someone went to finally answer the tavern door. It was an elf. Knutik learned about them from story books and movies... but he still thinks they're just fancy humans with pointy ears. The one who was tapping on the door turned out to be a little girl. At first she seemed harmless until she spoke. Her voice sent a chill up his spine, made worse by the fact that he didn't have a spine. Knutik found himself beginning to slowly cringe back into the shadows. He learned that creepy little girls with innocently spoken voices were always a sign that something bad was going to happen... or so it always turned out to be when watching horror movies with unaware humans. He would actually mimic the scare tactic, especially on Halloween. He was so lost in his own flashbacks that he didn't see the elf move to sit at the bar. For the moment Knutik just watched the little girl closely through suspicious eyes that blatantly said 'I've got my eye on you missy'. Whether he'd actually make a move to do anything if something did happen is doubtful.
I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
