Here is the raw character template. I left the color tags blank. Feel free to add your own unique color. No one really how the world had come to be this way. We had all heard the stories of a peaceful world but it had gotten to the point where no one ever believed it. A fairy tale we told our young to believe in a better world to strive for. But no one past the age of ten believes that anymore. The world was to dark to think something so childish. The world was tarnished and torn asunder by creatures beyond our beliefs. It's been several millennia since these creatures were said to have invaded and embarked on a world wide assault. It's wasn't long before the human race was near extinction.
We all thought everything was lost, simply bunkering down and awaiting our inevitable demise. But something happened. A gift from God some thought. But what we did know for sure is we had found a way to fight back. Certain individuals around the world began to show the ability to access awe inspiring powers. With this we could finally fight back. No one to date knows if they questioned why this happened. But it has become accepted knowledge that it was probably the foreign matter introduced to the air when we were invaded and reacted in certain blood types.
We were finally making a foot hold against these creatures. Able to fight back their assaulted and eventually bring the fight to them; when we began to understand our abilities a little better. We came to realize these special individuals could create blood ties will others. Though some have died, unable to withstand the strain it has on the body. But those that lived were able to access these unique abilities; though the power of these abilities were finite. The more people accessing this bloodline ability the weaker it became.
After years had passed and Humanity has regained its footing and established safe zones those with these bloodline traits created clans. Giving access to their blood line trait so when they became old or injured, someone could fill their shoes. These clans began as a small group of only two or three individuals. But today clans have grown quite large, or at least some are. Because these powers have a finite amount of power they learned that with each person added to the bloodline the power grew fractionally. So some took this as adding a bunch of members to their clans while only leaving access of these abilities to the elite; while giving protection to their lower members.
Now these clans have one purpose in this new world. To hunt and rid the world of beasts. The elite of the clan have been primed and trained for that simple reason since birth. Some singularly focused, others more rounded raising. But all with that purpose as their old goal. To send a new generation out into the sundered world to combat these grotesque beasts.
So this is the concept I had. I am still world building and ironing out the finer details. But it will pretty much be a beast hunting RP with character progression and a search for better understanding what is really going on beyond what we were told. We will all be playing characters of separate clans within a Safe Zone.
What I am looking for:
-No more than a total of 10 characters.
-High-casual writing. At least one solid paragraph but more is always appreciated.
-Well thought out characters.
-People eager to be involved in this world we create together. Anyone is welcome to help develop this world we are placed in.
Worldly Details:
-These abilities could really be anything. Though nothing to Godlike. I want these powers to be well balanced and thought out.
-The monsters of the world are fierce, grotesque beasts that roam freely outside the safe zone walls. No place beyond the wall is safe. Not land, sea or sky.
-The world has been shaken back to pretty much the dark ages. Firearms have all but been lost to time and transportation has reverted back to horse back, camels and tamed beasts. Though tamed beasts are notoriously rare.
-For the most part the world is pretty much a dust ball. Vast scorching desert. Over the years we have evolved and became capable of surviving the thin air and extreme temperatures.
-Through evolution darker skin tones have become the norm. Most people have dark tans given the scorching environment. Fare skin tones are considered rare and exotic; viewing those blessed with such as inherently beautiful. Fare skin is often seen as a symbol of purity and usually inducted into churches and raised as Priests/Priestess'. Though there are always exceptions to this.
-Though clans are an important part of the safe zone they are not the only inhabitants. In fact, in the past hundred years commoners have actually exceeded in number. The safe zone has become a rather prosperous place. Land finally beginning to harvest food, green houses started to produce flora. Things have started to look up for humanity. But most still expect tragedy.
-Races: Okay so races are a bit left to the imagination. Though I don't want to say like the stereotypical races of "Human, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, etc." This is something you will have to create if you want to employ something different then "Human". So through the introduction of these new monsters several millennia ago and the strange matter they brought with them. I explained how these particles had given early humans these powers. But in very rare some bloodlines began to develop differing physical traits. Now these traits are rare and usually shared by those in a Bloodline Clan. But over the millennia and interbreeding Clans and Civilians these traits had become less "Clan only" and simply developed a different "Race" of sorts. Now, if you choose to be among some of these rare genetic alterations Please explain what exactly makes your race different then human. Though all races are Humanoid as that is their base genetic code.
Uhmm.. That's all I can think of mentioning right now. Feel free to ask questions and I would love to answer them. Or offer ideas. Either way! Hope to find some interest.

lol I'm not trying to say the character is going to be a carbon copy of Deadpool. I am just trying to give reference to his kind of "insane". His insane is more directed in the line of Jokester and not the "Put the lotion on its skin" kind lol
I know this isn't helping my "My characters not deadpool" argument but I have written deadpool characters in several other RP's. I enjoy writing the wacky, odd ball characters and plus have gotten quite a bit of experience in it. If given the chance to see if the characters works in IC setting I would truly appreciate it. To just be given the chance. But if we get started and you aren't feeling the character, I can simply have him ride off into the sunset, straddling a big ol' land turtle. No harm, no foul. I would just hate to scrap the character simply because you don't believe I can't portray him well in IC.
P.S. I am gonna be working on my second character now just in case (if you permit it) Taliir doesn't work out in the IC so I have a back up. I am gonna make the support character I mentioned seeing as there are a bunch of fighter types now.
