They’re basically stats that carry over from your previous life into the current iteration of your character. The Gem aspect will be explained in the OOC a little more in depth, but it’s basically just the last remnant of your character’s previous existence compressed into a magic rock unique to your character. As for Faith it’s something I always bring along with me in my isekai RPs, Faith = Brownie Points with God.

I’m sure that this will only enable more questions than anything. But it’s mostly done, so I figured why not post it.

So will there be magic in this world, and if so, do you have a magic system in place, or will that be something you plan on hashing out as the rp comes closer to being started?

Yes, and I've got a system from a prior RP I worked on but I'm still working on it on my own time. But with that knowledge, the player characters won't have access to magic at the start of the roleplay even if their aspirations are to be come magus savant. The reason for this is plot related and also to deter some undesirable side effects. 100% exists though, and if your character were some Wizened Sage in his prior life, they'll likely be one of the first to stumble upon its use.

Also what kind of tone will you be going for in this rp? I'm sure there'll be times where it'll lean into different areas, but overall will we be dealing with a typical shonene, slice of life, horror, mystery> etc, etc?

School Life will be the primary focus at the start. Most of what I'm working on at the moment with NPCs and such is class/teachers/student body stuff, this is because the root of the plot will come through a lot better if those shounen/shoujo situations happen early and often. But as for the overarching genres it'll be transitioning from more grounded courses like Drama/Romance/SoL into darker ones down the line. But that's if we even get there.

The new world is just our modern Earth so the limitations would be anything a human being could do. But you carry whatever extreme training you had in your past life with you to this new one so if you were some legendary Sword Saint, or some godly scholar that definitely comes along with you.

If you’re curious about magic coming along with you or stuff that wouldn’t be feasible in the real world? That’s stuff I’ll answer when we have more interest so I can knock out more questions all at once.

You have died.

Your life as a hero in your native world has come to a glorious end. Whether it was in a flurry of bullets against your greatest rival or with sword and bone against the demon king, your ultimate goal was achieved at the cost of your life. As darkness fills your vision and the voices of your allies slowly fades away you feel your soul return to the ebb and flow of origination. Consciousness begins to slip away before suddenly hearing the distant voice of a woman. It feels as if you're floating weightlessly through a soothing ocean of darkness as you grow closer and closer to the voice and finally a blinding light fills your vision.

A white room.

It was a small area with only enough room for three pieces of furniture, two whitewood chairs and a matching whitewood table. The floor was a glossy similarly ivory white surface but as your feet made contact with this material it seemed to chime out an ethereal noise with each step. As you peered around the room you would find that it was empty despite the source of the voice clearly being here. You approach the table and pull one of the chairs out before taking a seat. You notice that atop the small square table is a small pamphlet, a pen, and some blue-green spherical gemstone. As you take the pamphlet within your hands and begin to read your mind begins to slip away.

While I am sure you are feeling a number of different emotions I can assure you that you are no longer in danger. Not only because I, Deus, pose no threat to you but also because you are already deceased and a few moments ago you were on your way to plane of spirits. I'm sure your adventures on the mortal plane were grand and you leave the world of the living with a heavy heart as loved ones, friends, and family are left behind to cope in your absence.

But have Hope,
Luckily for you the plane of spirits is rather packed with countless numbers of ghosts collected over the eons. Maybe I should have been a little more selective of who I let through the golden gates, but it's too late for that now. Which leads me to the contents of this contract. Reading through you'll find that I am offering you a second chance in life through the means of what I'd like to call Soul Recycling. As your soul is recycled it will be sent to a different world where you will be reborn with a clean slate, a new life, new experiences, all for you a hero of a previous world to experience.

There are some fine print things along with this however,

x You will lose all memories of your previous life keeping only muscle memory of skills and talents along with you in your new life.
x You will only be allowed a single heirloom or keepsake to be carried with you in some facet to the new world.

Rev:Re is the story of multiple characters born on our Earth that were heroes in their past lives. These reincarnated boys and girls who have no recollection of their past lives were born with incomprehensible skills and talents that place them well beyond your average citizen. Being so gifted lands them in a school for the elite known as Kurtzpel Academy where students are taught by world-class teachers who hone their strong suits even further and build on their weaker academics in order to turn these boys and girls into the superpowers of the world.

The Academy is located on a privately owned island a short distance from Hawaii called Alano. The students would find that it has everything they could ever ask for, shopping districts, apartment complexes, malls, movie theaters, its as if the owners truly wished for Alano to be everything a youth could ask for. But while the island seems to be a complete paradise these students will come to find that memories that aren't their own are beginning to flood their mind. Visions of violence against unbeatable threats, deaths of faceless strangers who call out to them, and all the while strange happenings begin to arise all around the island and it'll be up to these ordinary students to face them.
