<Snipped quote by WeepingLiberty> As the oddish prepared to take the energy from his foe, it oddly begins to cry before she even managed an attack! Having no rebuttal it stopped it's own move in confusion and casually looked to the trainer who was busy face palming. "Come on now, he's not really crying, it's a hoax, he's a quack" he Blatantly retorted to the blank expression of his pokemon, who now set it's adorable stance. "look, just use your charm attack please?" He asked politely as his oddish nodded. Spinning into a trip to the ground it's attack failed and Hakobo only grew more angry. "I suppose this will be a short battle..." He dully muttered to himself.
While pleased that his tactic had worked, Abel hadn't expected it to work so well, watching the poor thing trip over itself. "Umm..." Abel hesitated, feeling sort of sorry for the guy. You won't help it learn by backing down. Just go for it. Clearing his throat, Abel pointed toward the stumbling Oddish. "Now, use Fury Swipes." Ears perking up, Misha hopped up and leapt toward the Oddish, claws at the ready.
"Must be nice to be have contact with extended family. Congratulations to the Hufflepuff." Sky scanned the other tables, but if there was one thing she struggled with it was catching on to familiar resemblances. She was picking out a few faces she thought might have been Aedan's cousins when her train of thought was shattered by a female voice. Turning her gaze to the girl sitting beside her, Sky sipped her soda until the girl had finished speaking. "Bit of a nervous Nelly aren't ya?" Sky chuckled a little, patting the girl lightly on the shoulder. "Practice makes perfect, you'll get the hang of it sooner or later." Then falling into silence, Sky thought about the name she had mentioned. "Unique name, very pretty. Mind if I call you Mo?"
<Snipped quote by WeepingLiberty> Letting out a sigh the anxious pokemon makes a weak and tight fighting stance. The pokemon she was facing was much bigger. His niche as a two way halfway healer was out of the picture. The zoura was most likely bigger than the runt of a grass type. Hakobo wiped away a tear that somehow made it's way onto his helm."he's right ceres, you've grown since we first met and you must fight more to get stronger" he preached with a broad stance before pointing dramatically and shouting!"now! Use your magificent MegaDrain!"
Excited by his opponent's enthusiasm, Abel grinned and nodded his encouragement to his partner. "You've got this buddy." Misha turned and grinned at his trainer, turning to face the tiny Oddish. "Misha, use Fake Tears." Abel instructed, watching as the small fox buried his face in his paws and cried out. His hope was to fluster the poor Oddish, keep it from draining Misha or at least bring the pokemon close enough to pound into the ground.
Still here! ^.^
Hi everyone! It's a real pleasure to have been accepted into this RP. I hope we can all have some fun and interact with each other! Can't wait to start! ^_^
Yay Glad it worked out.
@swifttalon
Also, as a future note, this RP will probably always be accepting new characters, so joining is encouraged.
Without responding the enigma of a man tosses his pokeball at full force and as a Oddish withdrew his worst fears were colluded. Dropping to the ground Hakobo fumbles with the pokeball only to drop it. "wait, I don't want to use him, please let me pick another this guy'll get demolished!" he pleads as his oddish looks back in distress. Hugging he finally wipes his finally lets the cute pokemon from his vice like grip and stands sturdy.
Abel hesitated, staring down at the nervous Oddish with kind eyes. A small chuckle escaping his throat, Abel shook his head at the man. "How is your Oddish supposed to become any stronger if you switch him out when things look tough?" Clicking his own Pokeball to marble size, he switched his pokemon to one that would help even out the playing field. "I'd be honored to help train the little guy." He said with a bow before tossing the new selection into the air, watching Misha the Zorua emerge from the light. Catching the empty ball, Abel tucked it away and glanced fiercely at the strange man. "I won't take it easy on you but I won't cheat to win either. You may make the first move."
@Izuriel: Sorry for the delay, been studying for my Psych and Math tests tomorrow. I'll hop on after classes and post then. Oh and you never answered my question:
I definitely wanted a character from ALfheim, but I've found new inspiration to create a world... Any chance I can have two characters?
I figured you just missed it while writing up the starting post so I thought I'd try asking again while tagging you this time. XD
Seemingly turning into a statue the glass eyes glared down at abel with no real touch to the, a sudden burst of energy flung from the masked man as he scooped a pokeball and with lightening speed the thick black cape swiveles in the background as the left foot fell behind. "A match would be invoicing to me, so I accept" Hakobo mummbles in a foreboading manor. Still he was distressed that his name was not known.
Bouncing backwards on his toes, Abel plucked a marble sized Pokeball from a pouch on his belt. Clicking the object to full size he grinned challengingly. "Glad to hear it." With a nod, Abel's face turned serious, his finger poised to release his partner at any moment. "One pokemon, no switching out. First pokemon to faint loses, a withdrawal counts as a loss and the winner pays for lunch. Sound fair?" Having lost quite a few battles in his short time, Abel liked to treat those he beat to food to boost their spirits. That and if he lost he still technically won.
Four characters? Pretty impressive.
