Well you're discussing overlapping universes, which involve video games and television shows, so I'm asking to what extent that crossover extends. In my previous example, I referenced Half-Life, Minecraft, HALO, Metal Gear Solid, Ratchet and Clank and Gears of War. Am I constrained to one universe with the ability to interact with many, or can I be a mix of multiple universes and exist in only the Minecraft one?

This series will take place in that one Minecraft world. Characters can come from any universe and I'd prefer if they be canon, but OCs may be used. However, I don't understand what you mean by that last sentence.
Um...What do you mean?
I'm interested!
This is an idea I tried on another website, and I've seen similar ideas over the past four years. I thought I'd try it again on this website, where interest checks allow for beta-ing and imputing what others would like to see.

Here's the Plot:
For some reason, nobody knows why, the fiction universes have crossed together, almost like a quantum physics car pileup on the freeway. As a result they've blended together, some so bad that a person could take one step and cross a dozen universes at the same time. The more piled-up they get, the more "cracks" form in the fabric of reality. Soon things start breaking down and the inhabitants have to leave. These pileups happened in nearly all universes, especially ones that were already crossed--like Half-Life, Star Trek[/], and [i]Fringe.--and many inhabitants ceased to exist. The ones that escaped wandered from universe to universe, trying to find one that would welcome them. The universes that suited them would not welcome "refugees", and the ones that would were not suitable for their kind.

Finally the refugees did find a universe...or rather, cluster of universes. The popular sandbox game Minecraft served as a perfect place for refugees to band together and create their own home. Although Minecraft had crossed, the mechanics of the game allowed thousands of new worlds to spawn every day. One world, a singleplayer, vanilla world with no signs of a Player, became the site of New Haven, the city that accepts all refugees, villain or hero, as long as they are willing to work and contribute to the community.

End Plot

I'm thinking of steering this toward a good-versus-evil thing, with some villains in New Haven getting up to no good...You know, starting some trouble in town. Maybe one little fight and then the Police bust in, causing chaos for everybody. Stuff like that. But, with a humorous attitude, cause humor is awesome.

My characters in the one I tried to start were a weirdo Enderman and PTSD-ridden alcoholic Gordon Freeman.

So what're you guys' input? Does it sound good?
Odo was facing a familiar predicament as a result of his nasty habit of procrastination. His 16 hour regeneration cycle was nearly up, but a virtual stack of paperwork sat on his desk. Staying in humanoid form would soon cause immense pain, but he couldn't exactly work as his liquid self...Eh, he could do it later. This was just Starfleet paperwork, and the higher-ups didn't necessarily need the paperwork on this week's drunk-and-disorderly incidents. Besides, there was somewhere he wanted to be much more...

Odo was one of the newest UMMA Agents, only a month into the job. A new portal opened up inside Deep Space Nine, a portal so small and so tucked away only a shapeshifter or a Cardassian vole could reach it. This portal was located two meters deep into Odo's cabin air ducts, where he somehow found his way in his natural form. He slipped into it, finding himself on the ground outside a massive structure. Yggdrasil. He shifted into his humanoid form and introduced himself to the first person he met.

Naturally, he kept this a secret. Supposedly there were other agents from his universe--and the parallel universe--and they kept this secret. Out of respect for them, and for the safety of the multiverse, he agreed to keep the portals existence and the existence of the multiverse a secret. And now, with his resting period approaching, it was a perfect time to visit. No one on Deep Space Nine will bother him, as they believe him to be a puddle on the floor, hastily waiting to gather his strength and form back into his humanoid shape. And, the UMMA has much more odd agents than himself, and won't see a shining brown, gold, and purple blob as a "freak".

Odo entered his personal cabin. He typed in his locking code, pressed the "Do Not Disturb" option, and let go. Shifting was a lot like keeping one muscle clenched. There was a 'tightening' feeling when taking a form and a 'relaxing' feeling when regressing back to his natural state. The humanoid Chief of Security was replaced with a shimmering plasma on the floor that quickly stretched itself into a small grate close to the ceiling. Odo crept into the duct as silently as possible--he shared a wall with another--and slipped through the portal.
Will post for Giovanni later.
Hey, where the heck is the Shadow Eternity's headquarters? Do they have a base outside/between the dimensions, like Yggdrasil? Or do they simply coordinate between members and their universes?
Well, there isn't a pokemon attack that opens black holes, and I don't apply HP to roleplays. Stats and roleplays don't mix. The closest one can get is a randomized choice-maker, like random.org or flipping a coin.
*watches video* *LE GASP* So much Kingler abuse! Nuuuuuuu!

Black hole...? Void attack? Well that won't happen here...But I will translate the game mechanics the same way they do in the anime. Unlike the games, not all attacks will hit. I expect others to attempt a dodge, not just take it. Some mechanics will be the same--like Rhydon's Take Down and Hammer Arm won't work on a dead person, because they're a "Ghost-type". But what are you worried about?
Name: Don Giovanni, Viridian City Gym Leader and head of Team Rocket

Age: Presumed middle-aged

Gender: Male

Appearance: Awww yeeeaaahh Godfather Style

Canon, AU, or OC?: Canon

Universe of Origin: Pokemon Universe; Kanto region of course

Personality: Giovanni is manipulative, power-hungry, violent, apathetic, charismatic, and very cunning. He prefers to rule everything from the shadows and let his pawns--Team Rocket--do his bidding. He displays some sociopathic tendencies, but not enough to be judged without a doubt a sociopath. He views everything as tools; people and pokemon. He is only interested in willing pawns and strong pokemon. All others are useless.

Abilities/Weapons: Giovanni is a very skilled pokemon trainer. He was good enough to be named Viridian Gym Leader--a Ground-type gym--with a full team around level 55, and his Persian at level 60. (The levels range from 1-100, with the strongest trainers--the "Elite Four"--at levels 55-70, depending on the game.) He specializes in Ground types, but he also has two Normal-types and a Water-type.

Giovanni's team:
Species - Sex - Level - Type(s) - Ability and Description
Move1 - Move2 - Move3 - Move4

Nidoking - Male - Level 58 - Poison/Ground - Poison Point Physical Contact, especially on Nidoking's horns, has a chance to poison the target.
Brick Break - Earthquake - Megahorn - Poison Jab

Nidoqueen - Female - Level 57 - Poison/Ground - Poison Point Physical contact, especially on Nidoqueen's facial horn, has a chance to poison the target
Superpower - Thunderbolt - Earth Power - Crunch

Persian - Male - Level 60 - Normal - Limber Persian is unable to be paralyzed.
Pay Day - Slash - Dig - Shadow Ball

Kangaskhan - Female - Level 50 - Normal - Scrappy Usually Normal-type moves cannot hit Ghost-types. Scrappy removes that weakness.
Mega Punch - Comet Punch - Outrage - Dizzy Punch
This Kangaskhan will never Mega Evolve.

Rhydon - Male - Level 54 - Ground/Rock - Rock Head Some moves can cause recoil damage, such as Take Down. Rock Head prevents that.
Take Down - Hammer Arm - Earthquake - Stone Edge

Kingler - Female - Level 56 - Water - Hyper Cutter Kingler's attack damage is prevented from being reduced. However, moves such as Power Swap (swapping attack stats) still work
Crabhammer - Surf - X-Scizzor - Vice Grip

Backstory: No one knows how Giovanni got into the crime business. However, it is established that he built Team Rocket and is the absolute leader. Under his rule, Team Rocket built an empire in Kanto, with small bases in Johto and the Sevii Islands. It's unknown if he first became Gym Leader or Team Rocket leader. He ordered his pawns to take over the Silph Co headquarters--a company that monopolizes on Pokemon goods--run a casino (possibly to launder goods) and steal/capture rare pokemon. Along the way, he also gathered a lot of money, probably from selling goods and pokemon on the black market. Red beat him repeatedly and he went into exile, either to better himself, or out of shame. His Team Rocket pawns escaped to their base in Johto and attempted to find him, once going so far as to take over a radio station and broadcast directly to him on all channels. It's unknown if his pokemon are stolen or legitimately captured, but it is known that he favors his Persian, Nidoking, and Nidoqueen, as in every game and every fight except for one, he has all three.
He managed to find a portal out of the Pokemon World, thanks to a bumbling TR grunt. He sealed off the portal immediately and flew down himself. A grunt was sent through with some surveillance equipment. He brought back data on the other side, and thankfully made it out alive. Giovanni then went through himself with his best team of pokemon, thousands of dollars, and an emergency distress beacon in case he was defeated. (Not that he could ever be defeated...No, he's too amazing for that. *sarcasm*) He found Yggdrasil. The people there taught him about the multiverse. Seeing a perfect place to search for strong creatures and much profit, he went off by himself. Soon he stumbled upon the Shadow Eternity, who were looking to buy some strong pokemon. He quickly joined with plans to take over.
Faction: Shadow Eternity

QUICK EDIT DONE!
Would it be okay to make a Pokemon trainer villain?
