Current I'll tell you what's wrong with society. No one drinks blood from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

History Fact: Caterina Sforza was a complete badass, who whilst under siege made a point of bombarding the houses of her enemies from the walls of her castle.

@OphidianI was joking. Though I will be going by the Dwarfs worshipping ancestor gods and the dead are sacred to them, so undead would be an affront to what they hold dear.
But if you prove cordial, they attack unless you get into the Book of Reckoning.

Sorry.

It's just somewhat...annoying. I'm trying to break from some of Vampire counts stuff, like I said before, and do a new take on the idea of undead, undeath and the role Vampires might end up taking.

Being treated like they're still Mannfred and in all his wife-beater armored glory is somewhat demoralizing. :p
Hate to break it to you but...

I'll be honest, if I'm going to bound by "canon" faction alignments, in something that in and of itself isn't canon, not seeing much point in doing....well

anything really.
I'll work up a sheet~
I feel like I missed something...
Hmmm. I do like morally grey, nongeneric fantasy.

Not all demons need to be evil after all-and undead, why, could be more noble then sending a skeleton to fight-rather then a men with a family he loves worrying for him?

So basically form one drug to another with arctectual differences

Instead of Bread and Circus its Blood and Books.

Yes.
<Snipped quote by Ophidian>

My reasoning behind it is that they'd be sort of like what the Vampies are in WFB being basically a "bastard child province" that we ultimately removed from its original Empire. I just though putting it between Yore and the Fallen Elves would be good since I remember seeing that the Fallen Elves also use something about dark magics and undead in their ranks at one point. Need to see if that's still the case.

So yeah, that was my two cents behind it all.

Ah! I see!

I'm sort of breaking from WFB Vamps in terms of general tone-governmentally, you're actually looking at a Renaissance-style Republic/Principality-think Rome, Venice and the WFB Elector Counts combined into a sprawling....governmental....thing. Less....Transylvania on Meth, more Italy on Coke. :p
<Snipped quote by Ophidian>

Personally I'd say it would make a bit more sense for the Vamps to be near a human empire from a lore/in-universe perspective (that bit of land between Yore and Elsyweir would have been idea), if you want those islands up north I don't think I can really stop you

Ah. I was sort of working from the logic of a northward trend, in human civilization-I mean, you've got Rhune, then Yore, it seemed to be like their civilization was sort of crawling north, in such a manner as to avoid the Beastmen.

My logic must not have been as good as I thought.
