Thanks for the answers! :)
I'm just asking because my current idea for a game limits the group to group size to four plus the GM, but I'd be willing and able to run multiple versions for several players if there's enough interest. Problem is, I don't if I'm allowed to have multiple threads just to run the same game. If there were custom tabs in the forums so I could distinguish between the two, that'd be great... but there isn't. So I guess I just want a general consensus if that goes against being cool like Fonz. I'd like to be able to have as many people play as are willing, but not if it breaks rules.

Thoughts?
The cycle repeats.

Creation led to the development of Knowledge, men striving to become all powerful. Knowledge led to Destruction, as brother killed brother and man razed what they had built. Destruction led to Magic, the souls of men seeping into the ground. Magic led once more to Creation, and a new era of men, magic, and creature began.

And so the world was reborn.

Man is no longer the sole inhabitant of the great continent of Durian. Magical creatures, sentient creations, and beast turned being all now inhabit the world. Five great cities have risen, and seven empires vie for power and control over Durian. Armies have fought, wars have been won and lost. Even now, war drums sounds over the hills as another great battle approaches.

You are a citizen of Durian. Whether you come from one of the five mega cities, or from one of Durian’s endless hamlets and secret dungeons, it matters not.

You find yourself in the town of Nifu, just off the coast of the mainland. Why you are here, only you know. Are you a soldier, seeking pay? A mage, pursuing knowledge? A spy, perhaps, looking for the next bite of juicy information. Whatever it may be, you will soon find yourself aiding three others as Fate deals you a most unfortunate hand. Will you die, becoming but a drop in the ocean that is life? Or will you survive, fight for what is yours, and see the end of an era?

For you are neither the beginning nor the end, and the cycle must go on.

Hello there! This is a game I’m setting up that is going to have elements of both a gaming and a written RPG. A group of four players will traipse the continent known as Durian, fighting monsters, uncovering plots, and earning sweet loot.

As to how it will play out, it will play like a normal role play here on the site while you’re exploring and talking to NPC’s and each other. This is where the majority of the game will (should) take place. Once you get into combat, then numbers take over. Everyone will have a character sheet, and the game will play like an RPG, with dice rolls and stats. If you’re thinking at this point, “but I don’t want to do maths!”, fear not! I’ll be handling most of the legwork there. All you have to do is say what you want to do and I’ll do my best to see it happen.

This interest check is to see how many people would be interested, since it kinda crosses the gap between the tabletop category and the casual category. Regardless, the OOC should be up in a few days, with all the info you could possibly need to start the game and more!

(Though seriously, it’ll be a LOT of information. Most of it is just details for if you’re interested in learning how the game functions. Like I said, most of the game should be played as any other game in the casual section, so don't worry!)
I'll give you all things to respond to. Approve me!

You're going to have to wait, though. This is Aurus' RP, and he's the one that has to approve your character. Sorry mate :(
Is everyone else waiting on Aurus to reply or something? I feel like conversations could be happening but... aren't.
Still here. Waiting on a reply, so don't worry lol
"Take Callaghan... doing some damage might be good as well," Ronan said.

Shite...

Externally, Drew remained impassive. Internally, though, he was less than happy. All three people going on this mission were people he had avoided to some degree for varying reasons. He regarded Luther with guarded caution. The man still had the dark mark, and even though he had provided invaluable information, Drew had learned it paid to be careful with people whose allegiance was suspect. On the other hand, Drew had neglected to speak much with Kyle before hand - he remembered maybe one or two conversations they had had with each other, and no more. Kyle seemed amiable enough, but it would still be awkward when Luther and Blake inevitably left them to their devices. And Blake... Drew didn't even know where to begin with her. The woman was a spy, so she had all the problems Luther had, but in addition she was impulsive, crazy, and he was almost certain she had set fire to one of his runic traps once. Drew grimaced. The flaming protego had been quite the surprise, and it had gotten the job done... but he didn't want another incident like that.

It would be an awkward job. But Drew dealt with it like he dealt with everything else: he got over it.

He didn't have questions for Ronan; he felt they would be better directed at Kyle, who actually knew the house, and Luther, who apparently had the information for both jobs. Turning over to Kyle, Drew held his tongue for a moment; talking bluntly about Kyle's former childhood home might not set the best impression for him. But, again: the job. He needed to know as much as could. He'd be damned before a mission failed because of a failure to communicate.

"Kyle. Haven't talked in a while, eh?" Drew said with a grin, though perhaps a bit forced. The grin quickly faded as Drew went into tactics mode. "I'll just cut right to it, I think we need to talk about this mission of ours. Targets of Opportunity, routes, entrances, our escape plan, all that stuff. Anything important come to mind off the bat?"

Sure, he was putting Kyle on the spot. But Ronan said the mission was now, and Drew hated going on a mission with no plan.
@Wayward
bruh, pm Mchaggis. I'm sure she's just forgotten
A low rumbling came from Anu'din, punctuated by the sounds of gears grinding. A quick or experienced mind would be able to tell he was laughing.

"Aah, I believe that won't be a problem, then," he finally said, his laughter abating. "The magic that drives resides here," he pointed out by tapping his chest, "and the rest is all machine. After all, what is a man but bones and flesh? His mind is what gives him drive, what gives him his identity. All said, if the pellets can fit, then there should be no problem. I can always check the other mechanisms that are brought to fire them, to be sure. And no, I wouldn't be too keen on trying to enchant my own body. There are some things even I wouldn't try."

When Sebastian greeted him, Anu'din turned and tilted his head in acknowledgment. "Hello again, Sebastian. The years have treated me somewhat well, though the curse has been quite the pain. Literally. As for what has happened, I've added a small compartment for smelting metals. It lets me spray molten metal from the gun here. Quite a handy trick, I must say."
