1. I'm in school to become a physical therapist assistant! (Did it!)

2. I will quit any roleplay that has been inactive IC for one month for any reason. I've been in too many Schrodinger's RP's and I'm not doing that anymore.

@Balthazar007

Thanks for that, buuuut after writing my character sheet I realized I was triggering myself and maybe shouldn't play that character I worked on for like 1.5 hours. ^_^' New character plan on the way. I'll use cities that have already been mentioned.

I do like the "fishy missions" idea, though, and maybe we could use that as a plot point later.
@Balthazar007 Ok, I'm mostly done with a character sheet and will be done tonight or tomorrow. The background ended up being a long story, haha... sorry.

Which starter Pokemon would be available in Baltimore?

Yamask is intriguing me but no confirmations yet.
@Balthazar007 Hi! It looks like you're roleplaying by yourself, and that's kinda sad. I think I'll try to join. I have a few questions.

1. What Pokemon are around Baltimore, Maryland, United States?
2. What is a reasonable chronological age for someone to go to college in this world, and what age would they look like?
3. You originally said we could have trainers of any level. Could my trainer start with two Pokemon, both around level 10? It would show that she's had Pokemon for a little longer than Reno, but it wouldn't take long to catch up.

I plan to have a character originally from Baltimore but starting college in TN, so she will have a reason to run into Reno. She will be just starting to give up on her "childish dream" of becoming a Pokemon Trainer and aiming for a "real career," unless chance encounters lead otherwise.

Edit: Oooh, idea. Would it be okay for my character to have "lost her trainer status" due to not completing requests? But she ignored multiple requests because they seemed kind of fishy? Some kind of vague villainous thing going on under the Pokemon League's nose, and nobody believed the newbie trainer. So she owns Pokemon but would have trouble doing trainer things without the League's support, thus going to college for a "real career."

Edit again: Oof, December 29 happens to be bad timing for the college idea, haha. Uhhh I'll figure something out.
CS finished!

Interested, but only if I can be a human. Any gender is fine - is there a particular gender of human that is more needed right now? I may work on CS later.
Ty Westgrove

Near Vareena Gym

Ty hustled down the road, hands jittering within the pockets of his leather jacket. He needed to get away from...that.

She's gonna be okay, Ty mentally told himself over and over. He noticed a tightness in his chest and tried to calm down his shallow gulps of breaths. We did everything we could. We did a good job. Now more experienced people are taking care of her. It's okay to leave. She's gonna be okay...

The Igglybuff riding his shoulder squished against his chin in a gentle hug. Ty noticed the gesture after a few seconds. With a light frown, he moved Medic's embracing arms away and patted her once on the head. Ty was no wuss. He wasn't breaking down that much.

The punk trainer stopped in a flat meadow, just within eyesight of the gym. He sat on the rich earth, finally succeeding in getting some deep breaths in. Sunbeams peeked through fluffy clouds; the grass grew green and vibrant; the occasional tune of a wild flying-type could be heard in the distance. And Ty was about to introduce himself to his awesome new Pokemon. He had to put his best foot forward, like the trainer had it all under control and everything was fine. In reality, apparently, everything was really not fine with this new group of companions. But... he could pretend for a few minutes.

Ty opened his brown eyes to find Medic sitting beside him, imitating his meditative pose. He could see her entire soft body inflate and deflate as she breathed deeply. Ty couldn't help but chuckle. Cute wasn't his typical aesthetic, but he couldn't deny talent when he saw it.

"We're gonna meet our new friend," Ty announced. "You know the drill?

Medic opened her eyes and nodded. She stayed put while Ty backed away several meters. The trainer pulled out his Litleo's pokeball, but then he paused.

"Just be careful when you send out that Litleo. You seem to have a rather aggressive one."

Amber's advice was sound - better safe than sorry. Ty sent out Hunk first.

"Hey, bud. You're the big bro now! Can you just stand by me in case the Litleo tries to attack?"

The Timburr crossed his arms and raised an unamused brow. Oh, he certainly would not hesitate to do his duty if that Litleo showed the slightest sign of aggression.

"Ooh, good security guard face," Ty praised with the best smile he could muster.

Ty raised his new Pokemon's ball up high. With a beam of light, a Litleo appeared near the waiting Igglybuff. The feline Pokemon looked around and sniffed at the new surroundings. Her fur stood on end when she noticed the human. But the squishy ball of pink next to her spoke up and drew her attention. Medic talked to the Litleo for a couple minutes, sounding calm but serious about whatever she was saying. The Litleo relaxed some as she paid good attention to Medic's speech, and she gave Ty some inquisitive glances toward the end. At the end of Medic's introduction, the fire-type gave a short nod. Medic smiled and gestured her teammates over.

"Hey," Ty began as he knelt near the feline. "Nice to meet you for real. I'm Ty Westgrove, and I'm a Stunt Pokemon Trainer." Well, aspiring, but close enough. "We battle sometimes, but our team is more about learning sick tricks to use in movies. I guess you probably don't know what those are yet... we should watch a movie tonight!"

The Litleo sniffed at Ty's outstretched hand, then his jacket sleeve. She ducked away when he attempted to pet her. However, she responded with considerably more enthusiasm to a bag of chips dumped out in front of her.

"You're not supposed to inhale it," Ty laughed as the Litleo practically swallowed the snack whole. "So, you like people food?"
Central Pavilion --> Hiking Trail

10:45 a.m.

Dr. Nichols frowned as he glanced between his watch and the couple in front of him.

"I'm sorry, we don't have enough time now for a whole cup- excuse me-"

The researcher left with an apologetic look and stood on top of a wooden table.

"May I have everyone's attention please?" Dr. Nichols shouted from his perch. "A few things before we start our hiking and zip line excursion. Don't forget that this is a wild forest. We will be staying on the marked paths. Leaving the paths could result in you getting lost or hurt, and that would be a big bummer. If you need to leave for any reason, use the buddy system and take the main paths. Remember to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen. And most importantly, have fun!"

With that, the man hopped down from the bench. He and one of the blue-tagged volunteers began leading the conference-goers over to the trail, while two other volunteers stayed behind to bring up the rear. The group soon passed the signpost that marked an entrance to the main trail. Almost immediately, the trail was surrounded by tall thin trees, casting shadows on the ground and the faces of the campers. The path itself was covered in dusty gravel, which petered out into a section of bare damp earth as the group scaled down a small hill. The gravel returned as the path kept alternating between levels of civilization and wilderness. The trail was wide enough for about three people to walk together, though sometimes it narrowed through winding areas.

"Hello, America!" a strong masculine voice cut through the quiet wilderness. "This is John Jacob at the long-awaited SHARP conference. We are on a hike through these beautiful woods at the Cypress View Retreat Center. Let's see if we can find some interesting people to talk to. Who knows, we might even meet some plant-essenced people today!"

The peppy talk show host smiled brightly as he just about shoved his big microphone in one of the hiker's faces. A few meters behind John stood a big man with an almost equally big camera and a thin young woman who looked annoyed. A few hikers gave the camera crew a weird look before politely walking around the impromptu set.

"Hello there!" John Jacob addressed the random hiker. "What is your name? What are you looking forward to at this conference?"

Further back in the line, NatJack averted her eyes from the camera crew, decidedly NOT wanting to be any part of that. The redhead kept to herself, though she sent some thoughtful glances Connor's way from time to time.
