Between the next things that Remus said and the stunt pulled by one man to test this shortcut statue, of which his rushed use of a soulless husk gained nothing, Kythe let himself relax just a bit confident enough that he wasn't about to become a sacrifice for power. But Garen's words and the admission from Remus himself that he would return to take over the world at some point made him think again. Ultimately he decided he's agree to help for now, but he'd look for some way to deal with Remus along the way.
His attention was brought back to the situation as Kolonis spoke. After he call for unity he watched as the spice-smelling man from before was finally convinced, Vreskrr agreed to help in a way that seemed to leave the knight embarrassed, and Garen seemed like he way about to agree before the aforementioned demon messed with his bow.
For his part Kythe planted the tip of his sword on the ground and rested a hand on the hilt, nodding at both Kolonis and Remus "Well then, If it means taking down Sven, Then you have me as well" He looked back and forth between them once more "Did you already have a plan for our next move, or is that our first challenge?
on the topic of those General cs's. Here was my idea
Name: Tysetaz Pethras Age: 39 Gender: Male Race: Human Personality: Alignment: Lawful Evil Class: High Sorcerer
Equipment/powers: Tysetaz's staff, while it does not strengthen his magic too much, it does give him a very large reserve of energy to cast his magic with as well as the ability to cast several spells at once making him a tough opponent for even a group. He has a considerable arsenal of magic as his disposal from elemental to holy and even some dark magics, but he was never quite as accepting of demonic augments and relics as Sven was and this has left him somewhat weaker than the Hero.
Name: Valerica Brae Gender: Female Race: Human(formerly) Class: Arcane Construct Equipment/powers: -Armor with high resistance to magic -Arm blades strong enough to pierce through most armor -Short range teleport mainly used for closing distance(to compensate for lack of ranged capability) History: One of the few occasions that Tysetaz used demonic power, he created this construct using Valerica's body and what remained of her soul. It was something done mainly out of a desire to keep even just a part of her in this world with him. It now acts as his personal bodyguard and assassin.
History: Originally part of a small order of mages, Tysetaz became one of Sven's early companions along with Garen Trask and Valerica Brae. Over the course of their travels he helped tutor Sven in magic, developing a close friendship with him. He also gained an attraction toward Valerica, kind gestures and warm smiles were all that displayed his affection during their journey as he intended to make good on it after the defeated Remus. However, As time went on he began to see the world differently along with Sven, he actually became aware of his intention to take the Demon Lord's throne and probably could have stopped him, but as they shared a sentiment when Sven took the throne and the Hero became King he remained by his side.
As for their other companions, While Sven dealt with Garen he handled Valerica, giving her the same offer to join them and even pleading with her, but she had refused. She was not as able to escape as Garen was. He still regrets killing her, she'd draw her blade and it became necessary but he still cried out in sorrow when it was done.
Now a general of King Heavensward's forces, Tysetaz acted quickly to destroy the mage order of his origin as they would've proved to be a threat. He took the skulls of the high mage's and used them to augment and empower his staff. When not leading a force or dealing with some threat he is usually heading research and experiments into more unknown realms of magic. One product of his research is the Construct he always has at his side.
Kythe Nodded at Kolonis and eyed the runes she was messing with in her lap. He said nothing about it and looked back at the gathering as the spectacle grew still.
It seemed that Feon was displaying proof that she was playing host to the demon lord's spirit by way of giving him control, or maybe he took it...regardless, it appeared to be an attempt to add some credibility to her claims, which while it certainly did it did not garner much more support, in fact it only really caused more distrust.
As for Kythe well, he was willing to attempt this, if a bit hesitantly. But it did seem convenient, learn any magic with just a sacrifice, it sounded like any one person could attain the same knowledge, if not more, as the tyrant and take him on themselves, Then a more sinister thought crossed his mind. He tensed somewhat visibly and slowly put a hand on the hilt of his blade next to him, head still looking forward but his eyes darted between Kolonis and Feon, what he was going to say next was not going to help with this group's trust issues "So if you could learn any magic with a sacrifice to this statue, what did you need us for?"
"Your name is something to call you other than 'demon'" He actually sat down next to her now, looking at the arguing group while they spoke "And you're right, I don't know about them, not for sure. You, however...I watched that Hero, I saw as you fled the aftermath of your lord's defeat and I know you're no ally to him" he didn't turn his head but his eyes looked to her "I imagine you'd want to get back at him for deposing you, and here you are snooping around a village rumored to have the key to his defeat. It's enough for me at least" she may want to remain secretive but he had little reason to hold back "I came here to make sure nothing threatened my home, and now this tyrant of theirs does just that. ButI suppose there's nothing I could do to prove it to you" He leaned back and sighed "you know, regardless of her true allegiance, the monk does have a point: none of us will get anywhere at this rate"
Kythe continued to take out any of the corpses that got too close to him as the monk shouted back to him and everyone else in the village, identifying herself as the one that spread the rumor and one capable of speaking to the late demon lord, interesting. more commotion stirred with a few latecomers and a demon that came up to him but moved on before he had a chance to respond to what she had said. Tensions seemed to flare and wane between some of them, namely the knight whose name he'd yet to hear and Vreskrr. That coupled with the appearance of a frantic girl, Jason coming down from the roof, and the spice-smelling man coming out to question Feon's validity was really turning into quite a spectacle.
The sorceress made her way into things as well, but rather than get involved she found a seat to set herself as an observer, and with her being the only one he was sure of before he decided to start there, at least if he was to get something down before all the shambling corpses caught on to this group. He made his own way over and leaned on the back of the bench next to her "you, I recognize your scent at least but I never got close enough to hear your name" he paused for a moment as someone made a racket down the street, sparing a quick glance he saw an elf he was able to recognize as one of the Hero's former companions, that'll wind up being dealt with soon enough, for now he looked back at the Demonic Sorcerer he was close to "I'm Kythe, and I believe we share an enemy"
