Pandora crossed her arms and frowned as somehow, the first person she met was Chad Connors, otherwise known as The Bullet.

"Just my luck," She complained to herself under her breathe. Pandora hadn't realised she had developed a habit of talking to herself over the last few decades.

He zoomed past her store, took a moment to slow down, and then jogged back up to her. He seemed to be taken aback and he just kind of stood there for five seconds. Truth be told, Pandora had often done the same thing, so she couldn't exactly blame him. She waited surprisingly patiently for him to collect his thoughts.

Unfortunately, he used the time to come up with small talk, which earned him an incredulous and condescending look. "No." She answered simply. Though she was surprised he even knew what Hyacinths were.

The next thing out of his mouth was no better. He proved he had no idea what was going on. He also had one of those IDD thingies on him. "Give me that." She reached out and snatched the device from his hands, promptly turning it into another fancy rock, disabling it temporarily. She glanced around. Bullet wasn't exactly the most subtle "Superhero" around.

"C- gah, come in, come inside. Don't touch anything." She ordered harshly, opening the door and letting Chad inside.

Once the two were inside, Pandora took a moment to collect her thoughts. "Right. Listen to me, Bullet; you know Seraph, from the Wings of Law? He's done a little thing called a coup d'état. Hugo Powers is probably dead. If he's not dead, he's not around to help you. So I don't think there's much point looking for him, at least not until everyone has got themselves sorted. If the people at HERO are as smart as they hope, one or two of them may show up at my flower shop. That's what I'm waiting on." As she talked, she went behind the cashier's counter and leaned on it, staring at the two geodes that used to be IDD's.

"It's important that we disable these devices. I'm fairly certain EAGLES can track us using them." She explained. Truth be told, Pandora felt a bit like a fish out of water. If she was in charge of HERO, she would already begin making plans to assassinate Seraph and take back control. But she wasn't in charge. And she didn't even know if Seraph was that bad. She didn't know where the priorities of the now fugitives would lay. She would be taking up a support role, which wasn't something she was used too.

"My plan right now is to wait for someone in charge to show up." She looked the Bullet up and down, considering him. "Maybe you should just go home. Sit this one out." She offered. Someone like Chad would probably do okay under EAGLES. "You don't owe anything to HERO." Pandora added. Her tone was muted, but there were undercurrents of a cynical protectiveness.

Sakura had been sat on the railing of the pirate ship, exciting to keep moving and stop thinking about moral quandries, at least for now. Her feet dangled over the side and the heels of sneakers made quiet pitter patter noises on the wood of the ship. It was a beautiful view and she listened to Brineybeard's bellowing with a pleased look on her face. She was eager to get this adventure on the road and try to be what she thought a hero was. Even if this brief encounter with the hooded lady had already dampened her spirits.

Suddenly, the captain called his ship "Shippy". Sakura giggled and turned to look to him. "Shippy? That is the best name for a ship I've-" Her eyes went wide and her mouth transformed into a surprise 'O' shape as she watched Shippy literally come to life.

With a bounding rise, the rail lifted her up, dropped down without her, and Sakura splashed soundly into the sea water below. Sakura was upside down, squeezing her eyes shut against the salt, before she oriented herself and her brown-haired head broke the surface tension.

"Ppbbhtpt pbbtp pbbt!" Sakura spat out some of the water. Treading water, she giggled nervously at the breathing creature she had found herself dwarfed next too. Treading water, she glanced around briefly before looking up to see if anyone had peered over the railing.

"Uh, man overboard!" Sakura called out with a smile, her cheeks flushing red from embarassment. She on the starboard side of the ship, a small shape looking apologetically up at whoever happened to notice her brief descent into the water. Meanwhile, she took a moment to think about the living ship just a few feet infront of her. One of the strangest things she had ever seen. Shippy really was an amazing creature. Hopefully she didn't get left behind. This thought alarmed her so much she splashed loudly and decided to vocalize it aloud. "Please don't leave me behind!"
Well that is a bad event. Thanks for the update.

Winton, in the Inn with Denvar

Dareen listened intently to the storied backround of Denvar, trying to make sense of it. It all sounded very complicated to her. Bloodlines and aristocratic families, shame and pride. She had never been acquainted with somebody who took these things seriously, or had had them affect their life. To the people she called family such things were considered trivial, unimportant. To be honest, she still felt that way. It certainly hadn't made Denvar's life any easier, the expectations laid before him and his family.

With a final curse to his arrogant father, Denvar sat aside his drink and Dareen returned to hers.

"Whuf...didn't mean to bring down the mood, Denvar." She said with another small sip, slowly chipping away at her alcohol. She considered where he had come from to where he was now. Him and his closest friend and brothers on a quest to...whatever the goal of their little group was. "Families can be tough." She was silent for a moment before picking her nearly empty shot glass between her fore fingers.

"To the subversives?" Dareen raised her glass to Denvar in a tentative, not entirely serious toast indicated by a small smile on her face.
Interested but my schedule is tight now that I'm in online courses. If you had posted this three months ago I would have jumped onboard in a heart beat. But right now it's a maybe from me but I didn't want to say nothing because I love this kind of RP

Pandora was sat in the living room of the second floor of Pandora's Potts when Seraph, leader of the Wings of Law, announced his coup. That's what it was, of course. She had seen this kind of thing before, but never this bold. Not in this modern age of information. Pandora was barefoot as she always was, wearing orange shirts and an orange crop top. The rose was still tucked into her perfect auburn hair that was tied up into a bun. Her glittering eyes were emitting high concentration rays of disapproval at the screen.

"Christ's sake. One bloody week. One bloody week!" Pandora was chastising herself now for not joining earlier. "I probably would have had this all sorted out already. Bloody coup d'e fucking tat. Unbelievable." Pandora stood up from her lazy couch position and stormed over to the window, leaning up against it and glaring outside.

It was all the more infuriating because Powers had been right. She didn't really like any of the HEROes she had met. The only one she had taken a liking too was Powers, because he actually showed her some respect. He may have just been playing nice, but to be honest, Pandora didn't really care. The other kids were 'nice' enough but they were just that- kids. The lot of them. And now one of them, who was apparently the daughter of a super villain, had been framed with a metric boatload of nasty murder.

Well, she assumed she was framed. She didn't really know her all that well. This was all based on a preliminary judgement of Seraph's character. Evil, rich bastards like Seraph stunk with the stench of greed. Pandora had seen his type too many times before to not know when she spotted one. Pandora huffed, clenched her fists and strode into the middle of her living room, straight backed. She reached up and touched the rose tucked behind her ear and weaved into her hair.

"I...don't know what to do. Shit. I don't know any of these people. Will they come to me? I gave them my phone number." Pandora talked to the rose, or more accurately, herself. "Did they, what was it, google me? Do they know my address?" Pandora asked, her eyes flitting back and forth. After a moment she rushed into her bedroom and pulled out an IDD device. "Can EAGLES see me through this?" She sunk through the floor and landed downstairs in the middle of two aisles of flowers.

"Swear to God, if the pigs burst in here and ruin my shop I'm going to be bloody livid." Pandora opened the door and stepped outside onto the sidewalk. If she got involved, she would probably lose control of her shop. If EAGLES had done their research they may already know who she is. If she did nothing, she could probably just keep on living. Lose her chance once and for all to work at HERO, instead being transferred over to work with EAGLES. Which would be unbearable for obvious reasons. The only reason she would do such a thing would be to get close enough to Seraph and rip his prissy head off. "Wouldn't accomplish much," She muttered. They'd just find some other figure head.

They were probably listening into IDD chatter. They might even be able to track her through it. With a sigh she squeezed the device in her hand and turned it into half of a golden-interiored geode lock. Thoroughly disabled for now. "Prettier, too." She had no idea where the other HEROes could be. If they wanted her help, they would have to come to her. No way she was running around the city like some lunatic, that would get her nowhere. Pandora backed up against the outside of her shop and leaned up against the wooden wall, watching the streets for anybody she recognized.

Sakura continued her push ups, trying to maintain a steady pace. Geralt, the old man, must have overheard her. The things he was saying were not what she wanted to hear. She didn't want to hear that people were going to die, and that they were going to have to kill people. She didn't like hearing about how miserable this quest was going to be. She didn't like having her inexperience thrown in her face like this.

Sakura stared down at the grass with a frustrated, dejected look on her fresh faced features. Sacrifices and death. It all sounded so terrible. Sakura had never come into contact with death before, except her goldfish and her first cat, both of which had her crying for months.

(I don't even know how things are done where I'm from, Geralt.)

Up, down, up, down. At this point she was on her thiry seventh push up and had no signs of slowing down or even breaking a sweat. A drop of liquid did hit the grass though, a solitary tear. Red faced with embarassment, she wiped it away without stopping her push ups, briefly switching to one handed push ups to do so. Thankfully Ace Cadet, who as well as having joined in her cheer earlier, told Geralt to back off a bit. He was growing on her quickly, it felt like they might be cut from the same stock. Still, even now he was talking all tactically about alternative plans. Not crying like a little girl.

"Sorry. I've never done anything like this before." Sakura apologized quietly. It was clear at that moment that Sakura wasn't some grand heroine who was used to getting her happy, perfect endings, but a kid in her senior year of high school who had some high expectations about what being a hero meant that had just been thoroughly shattered. A real hero. Not someone who just stepped in to help her friends when circumstance demanded it.

As the hooded woman pointed out the pirate captain's boat, Sakura figured she had nothing left to add to the conversation. She felt dumb. And childish. Which was even worse because it looked like an actual, literal child had taken the initiative first and was already on her way to the pirate's ship.

(Well, come on. If she can do it, so can I. No reason to keep moping!) Sakura said to herself, feeling inspired by the kid with the hat. It felt like she was popping a dislocated shoulder back into place, only with her emotions. With a sharp, self-reassuring exhale, Sakura popped quickly back to her feet.

"As much as I would like to stick around and explore this town, there'll time for that on the return trip. I'm gonna go with uh... hat kid over there and check out the pirate ship," She said, returning to her normal nature, if very slightly muted. Hopefully she could leave before anyone called her out about her slump. Or asked her to leave since she accidentally admitted she was a first time hero. Hopefully no one minded too much. Skip-jogging over to the pirate ship after Hat Kid, she began to feel excited again.

"Permission to come aboard, captain?" She asked cheerfully, stuffing the urge to do a terrible pirate accent. The last thing anyone needed to hear was her japanese accented Captain Hook impression. Sakura didn't even want to hear it.

"I've never been on a ship like this before before," She exclaimed, her sneakers thwacking against the wooden gangway. Waving to the captain she took a seat on the railing, her legs dangling over the side. After looking over the side, she glanced back over at Hat Kid and anyone else who had followed her onboard.

"Do you think he's a real pirate?" She asked Hat Kid, loud enough for anyone on the ship to overhear. Sakura had acquired all of her knowledge about western pirates exclusively from the Muppets and Peter Pan.
The woman nodded warily at the bartender's ominous quote about how death and life don't matter much here. Knitting her eyebrows together, she seemed to quickly accept the absurdity of the situation she had found herself in. Resigned to the utter, baffling nature of this bar between time and space. What was there to do, other than order a drink?

She raised her eyebrows and dimpled her cheeks at the batting of her back, not exactly shrinking away or welcoming the touch. She looked down at the delicious looking onion rings and seemed to conclude that she could really use a bite to eat as well. The previously hoodied-woman waved off the concerns of the bionic lady. The brunette shook the wooden stool she was sitting on to indicate she would be fine.

The brunette hissed out a laugh and raised her eyebrows at Vyn. "2122...? Yeah. You're from the future. Or...I guess, I'm from the past. Where I'm from it's...uh..." Her eyes glazed over for a moment. "...1999." She nodded, reassuring herself and tapping the bar counter. Once again she found herself looking at the onion rings before leaning over the bar.

"Hey, uh...mister bartender. You think I could get some whisky and like...steak, or something?" She asked tentatively. After a moment, she took another puff of smoke from her cigaratte and leaned over even closer. "You...you sure it's free?"

Pandora blinked in surprise as the stealthy figure had vanished. She span around to make sure he hadn't teleported behind her somehow, but no, he was really gone. It was either that, or he had the ability to turn invisible. Pandora swam a few meters back, but there didn't seem to be any apparent danger.

"Alright..." She muttered to herself. The device beeped and she glanced down to see text on the screen. It was Hugo Powers, and he wanted everyone to meet up at...the Wings of Law headquarters? Pandora had heard of them, of course, because as much as she didn't want to admit it she had kept a thumb on the pulse of the politics of HERO and it's various branches. Not terribly so, but enough to know the important place names. In Pandora's past, remembering important place locations was important.

ASAP meant As Soon As Possible. Frankly she was happy for an excuse not to dive head first into meeting a whole bunch of new 'heroes' at the same time. So, she plunged under the 'water' once again and began to make her way to Kingsdale. It was a long trip but Pandora moved quickly.

Hugo Powers, were he still within line of sight with the Wings of Law headquarters, would see Pandora emerge from their perfectly maintained lawn. "Powers? Have your missing children been returned to you, yet?" She asked, a little sarcastically. It seemed her favorite thing to do was to prop herself up using her elbows while half of her athletic form remained underground. It was quite comfortable. She could basically sit wherever she wanted, but her spine was still aligned. A comfortable repose, wherever she wanted. It was probably one of the only things she had used her power for in the last twenty years.

Sakura deflated under the woman's shadowed gaze. Turning a shoulder towards her she took a step back and touched her index fingers together anxiously, casting her eyes down at the ground. "I-I mean...no..." She trailed off in response to the question. Turning away, she watched the cartoon pirate storm away in an indignant huff. It was hard to believe it, but this mysterious, enigmatic person was an ally.

(She's just trying to help. But still...I don't...I'm not comfortable with her plan! I've never even saved anyone before! How am I supposed to be so sure of my heroism that I'm willing to throw ten people under the bus!? What if we fail? And what's the point of being a hero if we don't try to save everybody? This wasn't what I was imagining at all.)

Sakura listened to the cloaked figure talk to everyone else. There was no point in arguing with her, she was steadfast in her belief. She had done the research and came to this conclusion. The Maw plan was the best way to cross. She was also hard to listen to, her manner of speaking was flowery and full of detatched, odd, and unnerving wisdom.

"...Maybe the best way isn't always the right way." Sakura muttered to herself, disengaging from the conversation. Stones and dirt were scraped away by Sakura's softly kicking sneakers. What would Ryu-san do? She wished he was here. Instead someone (probably her now that she was beginning to put things together) had beat the crap out of him and she was whisked off for adventure. Only it wasn't an adventure, instead Sakura just felt...clammy and uncomfortable. Maybe someone else could figure out a better plan. All Sakura could do was toss around a couple fireballs and uppercuts.

To help regain her composure, Sakura went prone on the grass and began to do perfect form push ups. She had pulled back from the group and occasionally glanced over to the ocean on her left.
