Current And maybe most people don't like getting a single line back in response to a few paragraphs? Like whatever floats your boat, but there's a reason Free exists.

Hey now, he's becoming self-aware. Don't take that from him.

If the man's is asking for a ban, might as well give it to him. Good riddance.

Then you'd just be crying about why it's permanent instead.

Oh no, oh no. Someone warn his "roommate" Smarty's about to lose it.

Meanwhile I'll be out of town until Tuesday, so yeah, sorry about the hold up.
@Ashifili Wow, so he's going to go beat up people after they're weakened? Or he's going to go after the staff that's using said barriers and get kicked out?

I suppose Arata actually would be the latter though.
@TheHangedMan Are they just naturally adhesive then? And it was discussed through a PM.

@Rune_Alchemist Eh, I was thinking less Gall and more of just something built into important areas/buildings of the academy, but I suppose it's not too important.
Cole

“Huh…” Cole had just entered the library and immediately regretted his decision to do so this early into the day. Granted he was probably about to save some of them from a taste of Gall’s scythe, but that just meant he’d have to deal with them instead. He rolled his shoulders and raised a hand, pressing his palm against the wall next to the door frame. Blue light surged through the space between the stones, quickly bathing the entire interior in its soft glow. It pulsed once and then several things happened at once, some of them unpleasant.

Everyone inside, although the oni probably only felt a fraction of the effects, felt a heavy pressure settle over them. Naturally the staff were excluded so they could deal with any troublemakers that did not cease and desist. A powerful supernatural suppression field was now active, and any attempt to resist the effects would simply fail or even result in pain if the person attempting was unfortunate. The ability to draw upon magic completely vanished for the mages within, so unfortunately there was some body shunting that occurred between Meruin and Heather. The tags she tried to affix to the walls also promptly fell off and fluttered to the ground. As for the non-mages? Well they would actually feel weakened, lethargic, and their supernatural abilities unreachable. Naturally that meant Melody was swiftly forced back into whatever her default state was. Since it usually took the shapershifter a few minutes to change completely, it wouldn't be surprising if the violent shift was rather... painful.

Well hopefully that had gotten the attention of everyone inside, but before Cole bothered to address them, he focused on the cloaked blonde. “Huh…” This was definitely something new. There were barely any creatures that could resist the leyline-fueled barrier, but from the feedback he got it seemed that was exactly what happened here. He pulled his hand from the wall and the barrier fell away almost instantly. There wasn’t a need to keep it up since the situation had settled, and the last thing he needed was for whatever the blonde was to take his continued maintenance of the barrier as some challenge. If they did decide to keep acting up, he could always bring it back up in an instant.

“Alrighty, any more problems or do I need to throw people out? Alternatively, I let Gall get to harvesting because he seems pretty annoyed.” True to Cole’s word, there was a chill in the air that radiated from deeper within the building. Light seemed to shy away from the area, if that were possible, and there seemed to be the occasional and faint chime of a bell.

Retconning things into old posts? Getting real meta there.

And the whole thing about passives is they just work, regardless of whether he's aware of something or not. Ignoring that for now since the GM has already been mentioned and will hopefully drop their two cents when they have the chance to.

But, wow. Going on the assumption that Arata, and possibly Katsumi, are brain dead and will just stand around like deer in headlights for the few minutes it takes for Melody to transform?
@Iatos Just going to point out that Arata didn't say anything about sand.

Well if how long their mind's been around counts then he can go find his sempai for more food.
Yes, even if the RP really shouldn't.

And most likely Bratus, possibly Prima.
Given the familiar bond gives no benefit, I can't imagine why he would bother with it.
Kasachi Hyouta

“Pft.” He met Asoka’s gaze, but otherwise didn’t respond any further. It hadn’t even been half an hour, but he recognized she had a way with words at the least and was in all likelihood better spoken than him. There was no need to spark a verbal back-and-forth he’d probably regret. He blinked several times at the roaring laughter Itsuki inspired and simply shrugged at the kids who seemed more nervous with each second. Looking away from the brats, he watched the rain fall and even focused on individual droplets, switching as they splattered on the ground, until the laughter died. A glance between his “siblings” and Kachi nodded ever so slightly as he turned on a heel and followed after Itsuki.

The older male’s 180 was… somewhat surprising, but Kachi didn’t really have much insight into Itsuki’s mentality. He couldn’t say he trusted the older male, not after what little he had seen, but if Itsuki wanted to try and take care of the brats than his support was there. His future was filled with a staggering amount of free-time given his siblings seemed to be… well, or close enough to it. They were all so different from what he remembered, but that was what happened over the eight year fight it must have been for each of them to survive. He shook his head slightly and focused on the main issue at hand here, namely what to do with the brats.

Kachi didn’t miss Asoka’s glance, but his dismissive shrug was probably unhelpful at best. Regardless of how good or bad the idea was, they couldn’t do anything if the brats weren’t cooperative, and Asoka so helpfully pointed out exactly why the five would balk from the idea. Asoka’s proposal was good in the fact that it didn’t really matter what the brats wanted, but lacked any real redeeming points beyond that. “The brats would probably object to the suggestion. Might as well just leave them alone like they want, and maybe Kazuya might catch your fancy one day.” It did seem like some of the brats had caught her eye, but he had a feeling it wasn't the spunky, if slightly brainless, blue-eyed boy.

Without waiting for a response from her, though Kachi did keep an eye on her just in case she took offense, he glanced at Itsuki. “Give me the warehouse location and I’ll go take care of it. You’ll probably need the time just to convince those five that they have any reason to trust ya.”
