Current I'm gonna just lay my head down. Don't bother me if I never move again.

I just read the greatest line of any story ever: It made them speechless. It was like a mule had infiltrated a group of horses and then it defeated all of the horses. -TMW

Same, I guess. Unless you count Tabletops.

I've been doing this way too long. :P

I usually prefer groups over 1x1s, but I just have the biggest craving for a GM/Player style 1x1 lately. Those are really rare here though, so it's hard to find anyone worth spending the time on.
It's been so long since I joined a Large Group RP that I forgot how long the wait could be. I'm overflowing with RP goo, and at this rate it might drown me from the sheer quantity.

In other terms - super excited for this.
UPDATE: the [Manifesto] is finally completed.

There's a bonus prize available in game for whosoever can explain it to me in full. First come first serve!
While I don't doubt your understanding, @Blizz, any and all descriptions I could find (including the Kane Chronicles wiki) refer to Apep as a god or diety. At most you could call it an anti-diety, or diefic force of nature, sort of like the Titans from Greek mythology.

Regardless, although I don't want to spoil anything for my lucky players, I'll just say that the identity and goals of "Apep" are integral to the overarching questline of the RP
@EnterTheHero Well, first I have to do a background check. If everything clears okay, you'll need to fill out this blood pact in triplicate. You might feel a little anemic and soulless afterwards, that's natural, just have one of our complimentary cookies and you'll be fine.
I see no reason why you couldn't.

I plan on there being all kinds of factions of Summoners.

Most will probably earn souls in the Maze.
Some might earn them through thievery.
A few might purchase Summons low and sell high.
Valuable information can be traded for souls as well.

There could definitely be a group that kills and destroys wantonly in order to absorb souls, but ike you said, small returns. You have to pay a hundred every day and regular people are only worth a couple. I don't think it would be a popular or efficient option, since you can earn well over a hundred souls from only an hour or two on the upper floors of the Maze. If you're desparate, I suppose you could always go out to a forest and bulldoze everything in sight for a quick buffer. Might save your skin.
More information will be available in the [Setting] section on the Maze, but you can earn souls by defeating creatures in the maze. You can also collect new Summons from treasure chests and boss drops and auction them off through the Grimoire Social Network.

If the players come up with other creative ways of earning souls, then I won't be opposed to it either.
Hmm, I'll make a character if we're lacking in people, but if there's lots of interest I might just relegate myself to the bus driver position.
I don't think it's going to start off particularly dark, but what modern Horror does, right?

I think it really depends on where the players want to take it, what kind of characters they make, etc...

As the GM, it's my goal to make sure there's something for everybody. If some people want dark and some people don't, I'm pretty confident that I can provide both.

Also. I read Gantz but never watched it. I liked the general concept of it, but it was a little too graphic for my tastes. I feel like the point of gore is to remind us as humans that we're really just watery sacks of meat, and thereby bring about an existential vulnerability that can be manipulated for more jarring horror. To each their own though. It serves pretty well as a Death Game version of Survivor.
@Blizz Is this like how you can't mention the word "Illuminati" online anymore without a bunch of uppity 12 year olds crying "Inside Joke!" Or are you just a legitimate fan of the night god?
