Well the laptop is fixed now and I can actually RP. It was not a pleasant experience and I almost had to actually pay money to fix this. Technology is man's closest friend and greatest enemy. Anyway now lets get back to lolis killing giant monsters.

Personality: James is one of the more focused and observant detectives in Tokyo. Mostly comes from his generally serious somewhat stoic attitude. Very calm when under pressure and isn't easily rattled. Of course, this doesn't make him to hardened since in general he's very optimistic and will occasionally make a joke or two even when under fire.

History : James grew up in Atlanta, Georgia generally inner city urban family. An intelligent and un usually perceptive kid, but still had a tendency to find trouble no matter what. To him joining the military and finding more trouble before attempting college sounded good to him. It took awhile before some sense was kicked into him, but he was skilled enough to get into the Army rangers.
During the Gastrea War he experienced horrors that he live through almost every night. Watching thousands die, cities even most of his state including his home burn to ash was something he could never forget. However he and his unit survived for awhile by running and retreating in every engagement. Eventually their luck ran out and he was the only survivor in a evacuation gone south. Knowing the enemy and how outclassed they were didn't stop him from blaming his own government for how things turned out. His family was one of the millions missing, but he knew they were gone.
Moving to Japan wasn't the worst idea for him since he did want to go there even before the conflict, and there was nothing there in the states for him. Learning the language, making new friends, and trying to make a living for himself there was hard, but eventually he was able to join the police force and even become an up and coming detective.
He was contacted a few times for hire in case he wanted to try being a promoter. His own opinions on the Cursed Children was more or less mixed. He could never hate them and see them as actual monsters, but he knew they were dangerous. In the end dealing with idiot humans and simply reporting Gastrea sightings was more preferable than going one on one with the nightmares. His hatred of them wasn't enough of a reason to risk his life constantly fighting them anymore. The very sight reminded him of things he wanted to forget.
Avoiding the creatures entirely was impossible in Tokyo. He always found himself facing many situations where he encountered men and women infected with the Gastrea virus.His limited relationship with Kiri Nomura allows him to give her direct information on any Gastrea in the area before civillians or police encounter it. James past investigation and arrest of a Assassin attempting to bomb the NSC President's limo led him to his first encounter with the president. Even now he occasionally passes along information to her, but his real focus is on any extremist activist groups.
