Indeed. Their release is a module release. So the Dogfighting Module (only able to fly a few of the available ships against AI, no Persistent Universe/trading or any of that) Is coming out in the next month. The FPS/Boarding Module is coming out after that. Followed by planetside/social module. Then they will be releasing the SQ42 single player campaign, and finally the PU at the end. They're looking at everything being golden by mid 2016.

From what I've heard from the devs, on final release itll be a one time fee of 60 USD, with everything else earned in game with in game currency.

Thats still in flux, a lot of the community is against it, they're considering microtransactions with a ten or twenty dollar limit per month. Not enough to buy anything save for cosmetic stuff or small items. Community feedback has had a lot of impact though, so there might not be.

I have nothing against microtransactions if they're for bonus perks, and not to, say, play for longer than 30 mins or something.

There is a place for them, but i hate microtransactions that enable people with deep pockets to advance levels much faster or stuff like that.

Just got tagged in the artiest picture of me ever. I'm wearing my indian headdress in the club, some warpaint stripes and a bottle of Dom Pérignon in each hand. Too bad i don't remember it...

Agreed, I understand that the company needs to continue to make money, so they can continue supporting the game. We're all trying to find a good middle ground. Most likely will end up being that microtransactions can only buy cosmetic and very low quality items.
