Rank: Difficult to define, Allia has had wonky training. She knows some ninjutsu techniques that are on Chuunin level, but has not learned basic academy jutsu that everyone is supposed to know. Her Genjutsu is entirely nonexistent, as Zilant did not know any to teach her,. She doesn’t even know the basic anti-Genjutsu techniques. Speaking of which.. Alaria has a Jounin level dragon summon with her at all times, despite being unable to summon him. She has Kage Taijutsu specialist level physical ability, thanks to the Sword of Sheol, but her Taijutsu and Kenjutsu are similarly nonexistent as her Genjutsu, as Zilant had no way to teach her those. She’s practiced at dodging attacks from a dragon, but that’s about it. She has access to a huge pool of chakra thanks to the Sword of Sheol, but her handsigns are clumsy and slow. Dragons without hands are not very good at teaching handsigns. They are also more technically wyverns, but angering self-styled dragons is not always smart. So… I’ll leave determining what rank she is to you.

Backstory/Personality: Allia is a survivor of Exae, of a powerful family who formed contracts with a clan of dragons, who survived only because Zilant was taker her over the sea to form their contract when she was only seven years old. Allia was a child who was viewed as too weak to carry on the family legacy, and thus was likely to be contracted to the dragon clan as a formality before eventually being married off for political gain. Afraid of the Exaen art of swordplay, unskilled at Nykt’s artifice, Allia only learned the compassion of Naya. Well, what of it she could at the age of 7.

After the destruction of Exae, Zilant became the caretaker of Allia, and she the caretaker of him. She was the last member of the family the Dragon Clan had sworn to protect. Zilant, a proud and powerful soul, though still young by Dragon Clan standards, was left trying to forge a timid child into the bearer of the Sword of Sheol. He has performed admirably, but is not entirely successful.

They now reside in Yamagakure because, well, Exae is not exactly hospitable, what with being rendered unto ash.

Description: The Dragon’s Scales is a technique that uses chakra to intermingle the bonds of an object more thoroughly. The chakra does not actively fight against stress or impact, but rather, due to the bonds it forged through the object, causes any stress or impact to be applied to the entirety of the object rather than just the point of impact. This means that attacks that rely on a cutting or piercing edge will generally fail to breach the object effectively, and that blunt impact is applied diffusely over the whole. However, this means if a focused attack has the power to obliterate the object, it will do so, rather than penetrate one point and go through leaving the rest of the object unharmed. Notably, this is often a nice trait for armor, and Allia’s armor has this jutsu in effect upon it fairly permanently due to its attachment to the Dragon Clan.

Description: The Dragon’s Hoard is a technique that uses chakra to intermingle the bonds of an object a little bit. It causes a group of objects to “know” where they are in relation to each other. Anyone who knows this trait and infuses one of the objects with a small amount of properly tuned chakra will get a “ping” from each other object. This is not a superbly unstoppable technique, and any sufficient chakra barrier is able to “hide” an object from this ping. However, seeing that the number of other people who have even heard of the dragon clan, much less this specific technique, now number all of one person, so walls of chakra tuned against this ability are more likely to be on accident than intentional. The duration of this ability changes depending on the chakra used in initial infusion and the technique of the user. Allia can make it last for up to a few weeks, whereas Zilant can make it last for years.

Description: This technique transmutes the air around the user into a fuel air explosive. Allia can perform this technique, but it’s far more chakra expensive if she doesn’t have Zilant or a vial of his saliva on hand. The initial transformation is chakra based, but the fuel-air explosive substance produced is physical in nature with only trace amounts of chakra. The substance can be stored unlit for several days if the trace amounts of chakra still in it are left to stabilize it, but the substance breaks apart in a few minutes if those trace chakra elements are disrupted. Zilant can create considerable quantities of Breath of Gehenna very chakra efficiently by moistly breathing outwards. It’s not nearly as dignified and noble looking as he would prefer. Primarily used before a wind technique to get said fuel air explosive away from you, before lighting it. Using this move while someone is using fire techniques at you is not advised.

Description: Another technique utilizing draconic saliva, this technique renders the flames of the simultaneously performed fire technique sticky. The flames will layer onto the targets, stick like napalm and keep burning. The initial transformation is chakra based, but the napalm like substance produced is physical in nature with only trace amounts of chakra. The substance can be stored unlit for several days if the trace amounts of chakra still in it are left to stabilize it, but the substance breaks apart in a few minutes if those trace chakra elements are disrupted.

Description: A western Style sword as seen in the picture, the Sword of Sheol is a blade of the Solidas family that provides their link to the dragon clan. It is a relic of Exae and thus a relic of law, forming contracts between ninjas and the dragons. The blade in infused with enormous amounts of chakra, due to generations upon generations of both Solidas family ninjas and dragons infusing it with chakra. Right now, it is overflowing with chakra, more than even this S ranked artifact can hold, thanks to an entire clan of dragons having nothing to do but send chakra to it. This chakra can be drawn out by anyone contracted to it. This chakra can only be used for summoning techniques of the dragon clan or Draconic transmutation techniques initially, but it can be morphed into normal chakra with time and concentration, or at a slower rate passively. Allia can replenish about 5% of her chakra per second with concentration, while Zilant can replenish about 4% of his chakra per second with concentration, but has slightly over three times Allia’s level of chakra. The passive rate is a tenth of that.

A secondary ability of this sword is that it is able to arbitrate contracts. If two people make a contract sealed by bleeding on the sword, it will punish anyone that breaks the letter of the contract. That punishment is summoning the one who broke the contract to the middle of the dragon clan’s abode. Whether or not that is sufficient to punish them depends on whether they can take a bunch of dragons in combat.

Another secondary ability of this sword is that the bearer’s physical ability is constantly passively trained, due to the fact that having immense energy running through your body being converted to other energies apparently trains your muscles in this world, as established by the Pride of Exae ability.

Other: Allia does not carry normal ninja tools, being untrained in their use, but wears armor and carries vials of Zilant’s saliva, as well as an urn of Breath of Azazel and a few gas grenades of Breath of Gehenna.

Rank: Possibly somewhere in the Jounin range for combat ability, but Tai Yang has little seniority and is very much an outsider to the ninja system, and so is currently tentatively a Chuunin.

Backstory/Personality: Tai Yang is a boy of strength, vigor, and discipline. He values his own definition of honor and courage, but does not begrudge others their deceptions and tools. They need something to make things interesting, no? Of course, they’d be stronger in the long run if they laid down their steel and trained their bodies, but it is too late now.

Back home, he was the strongest on his island by the age of eight, and so he traveled from island to island, swimming his way to each village. Defeating each village’s strongest, he was pointed ever westward towards Kiragakure. Arriving in Kiragakure at the age of 12 and partaking in a Chuunin exam, he was victorious through the first stage, but just barely, finally meeting opponents who were his match in battle. Dismayed at his weakness, he left to train during the gap between the stages in the exam. When he came back, he was barely recognizable, having seemingly aged years both in body and techniques. However, chakra sensing techniques were able to confirm that it was indeed the same Tai Yang who had left to train a week ago. His techniques and physical ability crushed the opposition despite his naively or stupidly straightforward fighting style.

Description: With both hands, Tai Yang manifests and launches a ball of chakra. This chakra can use the effects of either or both of his Path of Body or Spirit techniques. It can also be launched with a tail, allowing Tai Yang to guide it by throwing more chakra with a new direction in it, or retract the majority of the chakra used if he thinks he will miss. Once the tail is broken, he can no longer do either of those, and the attack is a dumb projectile. He can also launch weaker versions with only a single hand. This technique can easily penetrate many barriers, chakra or physical, by exploding an outer layer of chakra to momentarily breach it while the technique slips through, but it isn’t very smart about doing this unless the tail is still attached and Tai Yang is guiding it. This technique can get supercharged quite a bit, as Tai Yang can dump nearly all of his chakra into a single blast of this technique that could easily take out most opponents… If on the off chance some opponent worth that was so dumb as to get hit by a guided ball of chakra without some precaution.

Description: Tai Yang’s techniques tend to leave a lot of underutilized chakra just floating around, and by concentrating; Tai Yang can draw that to himself to replenish himself. The rate of regeneration depends on how much chakra is floating around. Tai Yang can only use C level or lower techniques or just one B level technique while maintaining this level of concentration. Of important note is that this chakra draw tends to disrupt and interfere with other chakra regeneration abilities that rely on drawing chakra from somewhere other than the body, causing both techniques to cancel out.

”What do we say to Umikami? We tell him to knock before he enters and follow protocol so I don’t get sued again!”

Yugaku Hayake is a no nonsense woman if ever there was one - refusing to obey to anybody's whims except her own, which happen impulsively and frequently. Yugaku is also a woman of great passions, and of giving herself completely and utterly to a task if she decides that she wants to do it - and woe be to anybody who tries to stop her from doing what she wants. Due to her frequently impulsive and needlessly passionate whims, Yugaku has the tendency to come across as being undisciplined and overeager, but those people could not be more wrong. Yugaku is extremely disciplined, but she goes about it in such a fashion that it seems wanton and reckless, though to the trained eye she clearly has a deep method to her madness, some overarching scheme or invention or contraption that she is acting in accordance with.

Yugaku is wildly creative and impulsive, often talking to herself under her breath about her latest train of thought, how she swears that this time she really will innovate something in some field related to something else - and that this time she won't cause an explosion or a natural disaster or an unnatural disaster. Every time, she manages to innovate something or other, or make some great breakthrough in some field that nobody else has managed to yet, but it is almost always accompanied by an event of equal levels of disastrousness - and despite this, Yugaku maintains a high status position in both the law enforcement agency and the laboratories in which she performs her research.

Yugaku's obvious brilliance shines through mere moments after beginning a conversation with her - though her relative instability comes crashing in not far later. Yugaku is not considered to be mentally ill by any means, but she has moments of lucidity and moments of mania that would easily be befitting of somebody with some kind of disorder - but her manic moments are not dangerous (except perhaps to anybody in the immediate area of an exploding invention that she creates) or even particularly lacking in lucidity, and even her most lucid moments carry with them subtle hints of the mania that grips her as a whole. Yugaku's job as a member of the law enforcement energy seems like it should have been taken from her long ago, but Yugaku is so effective at what she does that even in her more manic moments her behaviour is tolerated and simply regarded as an "eccentricity".

All in all, Yugaku is wild, impulsive, and completely and utterly brilliant in every sense of the word. She is the type of character that comes along once every generation or two, and her brilliance is only matched by her aptitude for strangeness and destruction.



【History】

Yugaku Hayake grew up in the village of Umitoshi, born to two extremely wealthy parents renowned for their aptitude with the Yugeton. The Hayake clan had earned their fortune in centuries past when they had been among the first to side with the Mizukage and had prospered through the acquisition of the funds and associated properties of those who had resisted the Mizukage's reign - with their initial fortune, it had been easy enough to remain among the wealthiest with clever investments and their aptitude for their potent Kekkei Genkai - they served as aristocrats and warriors both, a practice that much of the mist would learn to adopt with Tsukikaru, Ichi as its de facto leader.

Yugaku's early life was interesting, to say the least. For all of their power and wealth, the Hayake clan had never been particularly blessed with intellect until Yugaku was born, and even as a child her intellect was far greater than that of any of the other members of the clan in all of its history. Fortunately, Kirigakure was a village on the forefront of the technological world, and it did not take long for Yugaku's talents to be put to appropriate use. In her early teens, it became clear the Yugaku possessed almost none of the level-headedness that her clan was famed for, and that she was fundamentally a very different person to her parents, brothers, sisters and other clansmen alike. Given the clan's reputation, it was decided that she would be shipped off to Shijotoshi to study with those as intellectually minded as she was.

When she arrived at her boarding school in Shijitoshi, she was one of very few who were capable of using chakra effectively, due to her clan's training, and it did not take long for several explosions and severe injuries to occur in the school - the result of Yugaku's burgeoning mind and volatile experiments going awry. She was dismissed from the school, but offered the chance to return once she had gotten her penchant for explosions and inventions under control. She was sent to Kirigakure proper to undergo training, and due to her exceptional mind and the wealth of training she had from her clan, she graduated in a little less than six months to the rank of Genin, before advancing to Chuunin within the same period of time as before. A rapid ascent through the ranks was rare, and her name was respected, so it came as no surprise that Yugaku could apply for any position in the Land of Water that she could possibly want and be accepted with 95% certainty.

Which path she chose was the subject of contention. Yugaku's brilliant mind saw things in ways that others could not, and the outside perspective was something that the Mist Law Enforcement Agency had a great deal of use for - she was convinced to join them to undergo her Jounin training and serve the land where her destructive talents could be employed effectively. It came as no surprise that Yugaku thrived in the harsh environment, and she graduated to the status of Jounin a year after she joined the agency - at age sixteen. Though she was part of the Navy by default, her penchant for causing random explosions in even more random places had proven problematic even on land, so Yugaku was given permission to stay on land and enforce laws there.

After another year, Yugaku reconsidered the school's offer to take her back, and talked with her superiors about leaving the Agency in order to pursue a more academic career. A bargain was struck, and Yugaku was allowed to be members of both simultaneously, to be called upon either as she was needed. It suited her just fine - with a laboratory of her own she could stop blowing up random property, and she could continue to blow things up where it really mattered. With the level of training that she'd had, and her exceptional mind, it did not take her long to carve out her own path as some sort of researcher-police officer hybrid - and to this day she continues to be an active member in most of the sectors of life in the Land of Water.

Description: Yugaku's gauntlet is a feat of modern engineering technology to say the very least - it acts as a conduit through which her Yugeton chakra can be transmitted and moulded effortlessly. The gauntlet is capable of releasing jutsu from the centre of the palm, in their chakra based forms or their steam forms. Rather than perform handsigns for her techniques, Yugaku is able to simply flood the gauntlet with chakra, which will then mould it as she requires without any physical input. The downside to this is that it takes roughly twice the amount of time it would take if she were performing handsigns, but it is a tradeoff that she is both willing to make and working on fixing.

The gauntlet is also made of a unique alloy of metals that has had chakra woven into it in the same process that Damascus steel and its likes are created, as well as being subjected to molecular bonding compounds and jutsu that cause it to be nigh unbreakable. Yugaku cannot remove the gauntlets by any means, however.

Description: The Ranton gauntlet is a much more terrifying force of technology than its sister gauntlet, and is Yugaku's pride and joy. The Ranton gauntlet is able to mould and transmit chakra, much the same as the other gauntlet does, but rather than have a strict elemental affinity all chakra that passes through the gauntlet is able to be given the properties of Ranton chakra, which allows it to move fluidly and rapidly. In addition to this, the gauntlet also has the added ability to project chakra out in waves to produce various effects within the confines of the chakra. When foreign chakra is exposed to the gauntlet, it can be nullified and its composition studied, giving Yugaku information about the purpose of the chakra and other such likes. Due to this ability, the gauntlet is able to break seals that it comes into contact with after the chakra has been identified - though this process understandably does not work on all seals.

Description: Yugaku creates a ball of Yugeton chakra and then either takes it into herself or places it at a set location. For as long as the ball remains, it constantly spews forth 300 degrees celsius steam, spreading outwards to up to fifty feet away from the orb in all directions. The steam cools down more the further away it gets from the orb, eventually reaching 150 degrees celsius at the edges. If Yugaku takes the orb into herself, she emits steam in the same fashion. Hayake clan members are all immune to the heat of steam techniques of any variety.

Description: The Kiri no Izumi capitalises on the Kirigakure no Jutsu, allowing the user to radiate the mist from their body like the Jōki no Izumi. The mist is identical to the Kirigakure no Jutsu’s mist, except is thicker and has a more opaque quality to it. The mist is easily manipulated by those with the Yugeton, and is often mixed with steam.

Description: The user creates a large amount of steam, or gathers existing steam, and condenses it around a target area. The steam is partially condensed through careful manipulation of the Yugeton chakra, which allows it to smother a victim, and the balance of Katon and Suiton chakra can be changed to create hotter steam or cooler steam for various purposes. If the target breathes the steam in for more than a few seconds, their lungs will suffer very vicious burns and after ten to fifteen seconds the victim will probably die if they have no protection from the steam.

Description: Yugaku creates Yugeton chakra and wraps her hand in it, then grabs an object or a person. The Katon chakra generates a great amount of heat, and the Suiton chakra is inserted into the object and then heated rapidly, causing the steam to burst out of whatever it was inserted into. The reaction is delayed, and will occur three seconds after Yugaku has released the object from her grasp. The technique is significantly less lethal on people due to their internal chakra resisting the Suiton chakra, so a thin layer of scalding steam is simply created and held against them when the technique is used on a person.

Description: Yugaku creates a sphere of highly condensed hydrogen gas using her Ranton, and then coats it in a layer of roughly formed Katon chakra in order to to create what amounts to a firebomb. Upon being pierced or when Yugaku creates a simple handsign, the Katon chakra ignites and the highly condensed hydrogen gas explodes in a great radius. If the explosion occurs within any mist created by Yugaku, she is able to recreate the technique at the point of the explosion and relaunch it with a single handsign.

Description: Yugaku creates a condensed ball of Yugeton and Ranton chakra and hurls it in a direction. Upon hitting an object or otherwise being structurally compromised, the chakra immediately expands to cover a twenty-five foot radius sphere and 300 degree celsius steam is created. Then, the Ranton chakra converts the steam into hydrogen gas, which creates an even larger explosion. The explosion does not produce a particularly high amount of kinetic energy, but the amount of heat produced is legendary.
