Silvack fixed his cold eyes upon the women "You are saying that you have some sort of technology that is capable of healing traumatic injuries? I find this hard to believe."

With that the Hirogen hunter stalked over to the beds of the other crew members flicking the bio scanner out again. As he consulted the readings on the scanner his eyes narrowed. "I find this highly unusual, they appear to be in some sort of stasis while thier cells are regenerating." Silvack snapped his head back to Assallya "perhaps I have misjudged you, but I doubt this. I suspect that something else is at work here" Silvack looked over the others again. With that he turned his head in ever so slight deference to Rowan. "I will withhold judgement of this culture until I have learned more. Perhaps there are individuals here worthy of being prey."

With that Silvack returned to his place by the window, however this time it was with a different body language. Instead of that of a person looking at an insect and deciding if it was worth squashing it was that of a predator sizing up a potentially dangerous prey. Silvack might be cold and prideful but he wasn't stupid.

"Silvack..." Damien began, standing up. "Why are you so quick to pass judgement. You say you're going to hold it but I can see it in your eyes. You still see this planet as hostile" he said walking up to him before placing his huge hand on his fellow warrior's back "Relax, Hirogen hunter" he added before gathering his equipment and checking them. LMG, check. Ammo, check. Tools, check. He slid his hand under to pull out his combat axe. It was a very large, one handed axe which had a wide and very sharp axe head. He sheathed it before turning to the old human and pointy eared women. "We thank you both for your services. I'm Damien, but people mostly call me Rockhead."

Ruric looked at his sister, it had been a strange thing for her to lie to him like that, telling him their equipment was in another room. Was she purposely trying to fry Rowan's nerves? This idea bothered him, but he dismissed it to briefly laugh at Schal, with a light chuckle. He then overheard Silvack, and his want for empty killing. A true predator only hunts for food and at times for self defence, a monster kills other living organisms for sport. Ruric didn't say anything, because he kills other humans, but if it wasn't for his humorous attitude on life; he'd hate himself too. In fact, if it weren't for Irodien army adopting him and his sister into the military, he'd probably never looked twice at this career choice. He finally dismissed the depression that clouded the air in the room, and smiled at Dratcen, "Hi, thank you so much for your hospitality mister, my name is Ruric, and this is my sister Monika." Ruric gesturing toward his sister.

Monika simply nodded, as nice as the wizard had been, she had sensed ulterior motives behind the strange couple. And even at that, they were still strangers, so Monika was opposed to Ruric's hand-in-hand trustworthy attitude. After all, Monika had very little trust in majority of her team, like Rowan. If the man had been paid better from the merchant, he could have easily turned his back on everyone in this room, She kept her thoughts to herself, but it was easily noticeable that she disliked the situation she was in.

Silvack grunted non commitally at Damien, but slid his Tetryon rifle over his left shoulder then folded his arms still not offering his name but offering less hostility than before.

Given that Hirogen where not keen on forming strong relationships he still tolerated the other memebers of the merc crew even though most of them simply did not or could not understand his culture. However for a Hirogen tolerating an individual who was not hirogen and a member of his pack was the pinnacle of relatations with other species in Hirogen culture, other than hunter and prey of course which held almost religious reverance among the Hirogen.

"when we are done being pleasant perhaps we could focus on the fact that we know very little in regards to what exactly caused us to crash land on this..." He gestured and refrained from using the word backwater to discribe the planet.

"Thank you Lord Damien," the fair elf replied, dipping her blond head deferentially, "It is a great pleasure to make your acquaintance though I assure you all, your crossbows are not necessary. You are safe within the confines of the tower."

Assallya kept quiet on the commentary of the others. While certainly they wished to understand why they were there the apprentice decided it best to leave the revelation of such information to Dratchen. The wizard would have some difficulty explaining it in such a way that the warriors would believe it, more so that he wasn't in some way responsible for crashing their ship in order to fulfill that prophecy.

"There is chilled mead if you would have some. I can also fetch ice from the ice house if it suits your will," she continued, suggesting libation for their parched throats beyond mere water.

Rowan Zephyr

It seems that everyone but the hunter is willing to introduce themselves to strangers. thought Rowan. ...The pain's gone down. I'll need to see the wreckage. Maybe these people missed something.

Rowan rose again from the bed. A strong soreness washed over him, but it was nothing he couldn't handle. He looked at the woman again and found that she had pointed ears. A mutation? A different species? Curiosity entered his mind for a moment, but vanished even more quickly than it appeared.

"Ignore the Hirogan's words for now. Silvack only really respects our leader." Rowan glanced at Silvack in mild annoyance. "Is the wreckage of our...'sky bird' nearby? I want to see how bad the damage is for myself."
Bryce Achar

Bryce shielded his eyes when the glimmering light emmitted from the woman. It did not take long for it to fade, but the next sight to see was...surprising to say the least. In place of the woman he had seen earlier was a creature with a beautiful, fiery red fish tail that made it's entire lower body, and the upper body of the woman he had followed, which was equally beautiful.

"A mermaid..." he muttered as he stared in disbelief.

It was a rare sight, even for a mercenary. Was this the reason the villagers were afraid? It was hardly any cause for alarm. Bryce took a few steps closer. He felt the water brush up against his metal boots. Not wanting the trouble of walking through the waves with heavy armor, he raised the volume of his voice to speak to the mermaid again.

"Is this the reason those villagers were afraid of you?"

Shook her head, " Siren, killing humans with there seductive sounds, Im not like..them...I just roam the oceans to visit anyone near. She looked towards the man, odd he seemed fine around Melody, " Your not afraid aren't you? " she said smiling as she swimmed closer to the shore. She shook her head, thoughts going through her mind once again, has she cursed him as well? Her body sank down only a few inches her mouth being covered by the waves, " Your cursed! " she exclaimed as she swam back, " I have to get away! " she said once more in a loud tone she turned around as she was fixing to swim off.

The corner of Silvack's mouth quirked at Rowan's comment almost as if he thought it was an amusing statement, given that he would readily give his life for his pack mates should such a thing be required however Rowan certainly had the right of it when it came to respect. Though it was not for any but a Hirogen to understand. "I shall accompany you, we do not yet know what this world holds and the best way to defeat any prey is to know it."

Silvack pushed himself from the wall smoothly. He harbored no ill will for Rowan, it was simply a difference in culture. He unfolded his arms and stood ready, being confined to the room was starting to wear. If the hunt taught one thing it was knowing when to sit and wait but also knowing when it was time to move. His instincts were telling him more information was required and the female didn't appear to be able or willing to provide more. Although Silvack had never been one for gathering information through conversation. A rather calous personality and cold demeanor stunted his social skills in that area.

"Pleased to meet yours as well" Damien replied to the female. "These are just a precaution" he added, pointing to his M80. He then left everyone to their own conversations while he checked any entrance a potential enemy could come through. Although he didn't tell anyone, he was actually looking for the pirates that the merchant sent to kill the Iron Talons. He had a funny feeling they would not be far behind but this could just be his imagination or a minor concussion playing tricks on him. After he went round the room twice he began to look closely at their hosts without staring. The man seemed old and short with long white hair protruding his chin and a knowledgeable, wizened old face. The female, however seemed to be his antithesis. At least a third taller than Damien, a young (and admittedly pretty) face and the pointy ears which somehow seemed to distract him as everything else seemed human apart from the enlarged ears.

Monika rose to Rowan and shared the same curiosities about their crash, and wanting to learn more about it. "Yes, it would provide usefulness to us if we were allowed to study the wreck. It could give us a possible outline of where our attackers went, or even some great insight of what happened." Monika agreed. She began to study the Elf lady to further her knowledge around her, for she is very hospitable, and self-serving, but reluctant on the mercenaries having their weapons or for that matter leaving. This train of thought left Monika to believe that they were being forced into staying in the tower.

Ruric on the other had was starved from the previous nights, unsure as of how long he had been here, he knew he was hungry and even thirsty, so he was more than eager to have taken the Elf on her request. "Oh, oh, oh. I would love some chilled mead, please." Ruric requested, even though a mercenary, he still had excellent manners. "I'd even be willing to get it myself."

"So where is wreckage of our ship then?" Schal asked the wizard as spat out the last of the bowels contention from his mouth. "I'll see if there anything worth scavenging from it,if any one wants to come with me there welcome to," he said gathering up is weapons and equipment.
"Oh, yes your ship," the wizard said a bit distracted as he looked at Schals Iron talon patch. "Assallya be a dear show Schal to the ship there is something I must do." The old human got up and left the room.
'I wounder whats with him,' schal thought as he attached the saber to his waist.
Dratcen was in his personal library going through several large old tome trying to find something. "Its in one of these old books," the wizard mumble to him self opening another tome.

Silvack moved like a snake to stand at Schal's side and slightly behind him. "I shall accompany you Alpha, my eyes are keen and I wish to see more of this planet, It may yet harbor worthy prey" Silvack left his Tetryon rifle on his left shoulder but he had to fold his arms across his chest in order to prevent himself from drawing the rifle again. No reason to make the natives restless if he didn't have to, not like it would have mattered in the slightest though given how easily he was sure he could take them apart.

The elf girl slowly rose up from where she was administering to one of the sleeping members of the private military contractors. The light, diminutive figure slipped across the decades smoothed wooden slats of the tower and picked up a lantern from one of the shelves. There was a chance that it would be dark by the time they returned. It all depended on how long the warriors chose to investigate the site of their crashed bird.

"Well," Assallya said as she rose up, her black painted lips twisting into a smile "Now this would be the time to gather up your crossbows. Who knows what form of monsters might have been drawn to the wreck. There could be a Hydra even now warming itself against the metal."

Location: ERROR ERROR
Date: ERROR ERR-

"That's enough out you" Marcus mumbled, turning off the logging data. The horizon of the planet he orbited grew larger and larger as his altitude began to fall. Warnings flashed everywhere in the escape pod as the computer began to plot a entry route.

"Warning, dangerous trajectory detected, activate thrusters for 4.7 minutes and adjust angle to 45 degrees for more optimum re-entry angle." Marcus did as the computer said, but the thrusters cut out short. The pod had been damaged during the blast from the ship, causing the pod to leak propellant the whole time he was adrift. The computer once again repeated its warning. "Warning, dangerous trajectory detected, G-Forces potentially fatal,fire-" Marcus now simply ignored the warning, as it was out his hands now. Only moments later the escape pod made contact with the planets atmosphere and began to shake violently. Flames began to lick around the pod as the friction of the air began to grow as the craft went deeper into the atmosphere. Soon the entire ship was covered in re-entry flames as it hurdled towards the surface. Marcus attempted to slow his decent as he reached 20,000 feet by deploying the air brakes, but only seconds later did one of the flaps break off, causing him to go into a spiral. Despite the death spin, he retracted the flaps and straightened the pod just in time to bounce off the side of a cliff. before slamming into beach. The pod tumbled chaotically before finally coming to a stop on its side. Any organic life would have probably had their bones broken or organs liquefied by the sheer impact, but for Marcus.... well.... it was probably the best landing he had ever preformed.

Marcus cut himself out the harness and pulled himself up. The windshield was blackened and he could hear the sizzling of the pod. He walked over the rear hatch and hit the explosive bolts, blowing off the door. Grabbing his gear, he stepped out the pod to be greeted by what probably was a pristine beach, but now a burnt trench of blackened sand and glass now scarred the beach. He gave an internal sigh and began to scan the area.

Damien seemed to be minding his own business "And the rest of us?" He asked Schal. Despite having no knowledge of this world or it's hostility, Damien really wanted to be doing something useful. The old man left the room to assumedly go somewhere else. Damien took one last glance out a window to make sure he didn't miss anything. He started placing his ammo in storage pouches and compartments that seemed to be littered across his waist and loaded a huge drum into his M80 and a magazine into his assault rifle. Even though his ears weren't the best he could've sworn he heard a rumble-like noise. Perhaps another visitor had arrived to the planet's surface but quickly dismissed the thought.

She cried cursing a man by her words she turned as quickly swam off into the sea. She dived underwater as she reached the ground into the oceans surface. She only sat down on the rough ground her blue eyes were able to see in the dark depths of this water land. She looked up as a faint light floated around, " Mamma... " She said faintly a ghostly essence floated around, " My little..baby...your tail like fire your hair like light...shine my baby...go to sleep. " The song stopped as it seemed to calm her down the light faded away as her eyes opened once more as she felt waves go through her. She felt nature scream a feeling went through her skin but she couldn't see what was going on as it was probably the villagers exploding items from the surface. She stayed underwater to have some peace.

Rowan Zephyr

Rowan sighed. He wanted to go alone, or with one person, but it seems like the entire team decided to see the ship as well. It was understandable, but this place is unknown territory. Going all at once may have well been an invitation for annihilation. But on the other hand, they had an inhabitant of this planet with them. With any luck, she would be able to warn them of dangers. One like this Hydra....

"Wait...Hydra? What do you mean by that?"

The only times Rowan had heard the word "Hydra" was usually when it's used to name ships or tanks or some sort of war technology.
Bryce Achar

Bryce was about to make an attempt to go after her, but was immediately distracted when a large object passed overhead and crashed a good distance away. The ground shook enough for the unprepared Bryce Achar to kneel in order to regain balance. After the ground had calmed, he raised his head to see where the object had gone. Just what was the thing that shook the land so? Bryce looked to the sea to see if the mermaid was alright, but she had long since dove underwater.

Returning his focus to the object, Bryce began his way over. It took but a few moments to reach the strange object, it was large and metallic, with one creature inside. This creature was equally strange in appearance, seeming like it was a person wearing an odd assortment of light and heavy armor.

"gods above..."

Bryce looked around at the area, charred black, with sharp, broken glass shards scattered about. This...thing was the cause of this, and the quake was simply a reaction.

"You." Bryce said to the one inside. "What happened here?"

Marcus glanced around when an odd man cautiously approached him. The man wore a suit if medivial armor and carried equally medivial like weaponry. Marcus remembered briefly that long before space travel earth had been in a similar state. Though from his vague knowlege from the past, he only remembered that they had suffered greatly from ignorance and magical thinking.

"You." the man said, interuppting Marcus's thoughts. "What happened here?"

Marcus stood silently for a moment, thinking about how to answer the question. "Would the culture shock be to great? Wait.... how would humans be here in the first place? They must know of space travel..... maybe its one those "tech free" backwards planets.... shit... I hope I didn't land on an Amish planet...." Marcus thought to himself. After a long pause he finally answered.

"Well.... its a.... really long story, but to put it simply: Ehm. I am a survivor a starship that had been destroyed in this system, my pod got caught in this planet's influence and fell towards the surface, I did my best to pilot the pod and now as you can see, my "controlled decent" quickly turned into "I'm one lucky son of a bitch for not getting destroyed by the impact." Sorry about the beach by the way, but like I said, didn't have much control over where I could land. Yeah,,,,," he said, scratching the back of his head out of impulse. "So uhh.... what planet did I land on? Where exactly am I?" he asked.

The elven woman attached a curved dagger to her waist and led the mercenaries out the door and into the clearing at the base of the tower. The grass was soft beneath her bare feet and the sun shone down gloriously from it's perch atop the azure sky. The sun's rays gleamed off of her long blond tresses, looking very much like burnished gold. The brilliant sun also shone through her ebony silks, revealing slender limbs that were only half visible in the murky primitive lamplight of the tower's interior.

"A Hydra," the sorceress explained, "is a large lizard that can often grow as massive as a small castle. It possesses anywhere up to nine heads and can grow two in its place should you behead one. Some have even been known to breath fire. Being a lizard they are drawn to warmth and love to lounge on hot rocks. One may have been drawn to the wreckage of your sky bird.

"Come, the sky bird is this way."

Silvack's brow ridges raised at the sound of this "hydra" it sounded like formidable prey and so far as he could tell this pittiful planet had yet to offer up a real challenge and this massive nine headed reptile was exactly the kind of prey Silvack was interested in. His face split into a grin at the sound of it and he felt his blood rush at the thought of the hunt, he reached up and removed the Tetryon rifle from his back checking it calmly. With that he bounced his weight from one foot to the other.

"I am ready, let us go and let us see if this hydra is worthy prey I wish to see more of this world and what it has to offer" Silvack's grin bordered on insane but his eyes were keen and a vicious intelligence burned in them
