Maybe, maybe not. There are a couple reasons people think it is a Souls game. First, a lot of the team who made Demon's Souls and the first Dark Souls didn't actually work on Dark Souls 2, because they were working on some unannounced other project. Second, early leak stuff about Dark Souls came with out under the name Project Dark, so people are guessing that 'Project X' in From Software lingo will always translate to 'X Souls.'

Anyway, on the main topic, news about Project Beast is the only thing I'm looking forward to, particularly whether or not it's truly going to be another Souls game and whether or not it'll be released on PC. I don't have a current gen console, so I'm basically only on the lookout for PC things and E3 is heavily console-focused, thus not much for me to look forward to.

This is the first E3 in a while I'm not excited for, simply because this is the first time for ages that I've not had a current-gen console. Half the announcements will basically be irrelevant. Thank goodness that Destiny is coming out on 360 as well, it'll be the one reason I keep my LIVE subscription up. And I suppose I may be able to get the Pokemon Gen III reboots on an emulator, because srsly, I'm not buying the 3D version of a handheld I already have just for one game.


It's a lot more than a 3D DS. It's a totally new console and the 3D is just an added feature. I really wish they hadn't over-emphasized the 3D in their early advertising - 'tis what killed the system's popularity, I think.

There's a couple of titles I''m looking forward to seeing in action, Shadow of Mordor, Dragon Age 3, and plenty more.

From the leaked video I can't believe it'd be anything but a Souls game. The combat is the same, it has a fucking fog wall, it's by fromsoft.

Just let me dream, man. I need good news after hearing that the pile of shit cash in that DS2 was already has 3 dlcs planned and it's probable that they're all cut content

Cautious pessimism for me.

If it's shitty, I was right and I feel a little better.

If it's good, I can be pleasantly suprised.

I think it will have some redeemable qualities, but pale overall to the trilogy and just essentially be a cash-grab for EA.
And have them stuff a multiplayer mode down our throats again.

It'll still probably be awesome even if it's not a Souls game. Other speculation is that based on the weaponry shown (especially a gun) it might be a continuation or reboot of the Shadow Tower games that From Software put out a couple games for in 1998 and 2003. Nobody really knows though.

Also, I had fun with Dark Souls 2. I liked it more than the first game even, though to be fair that might be because I played that without any online stuff. I don't care whether or not the DLC is cut content, I enjoy the game enough as it is that I feel like it was worth my $60, so screw it.

Shit dude. I thought ME3's multiplayer was a blast. The best part was that everything was free for it.
