I'm bothered by the fact there's an uninterrupted tube from my mouth to my anus.

Like, humans are just giant donuts with arms and legs.

Food just touches your inner donut and you absorb the nutrients.

It's literally always the same. That's the whole thing. :/

And no; either it's within the universe or not. If outside of spacetime, it does not exist. If inside of it, then it's observable in some way, in which case why is there no evidence?
