Hey guys sorry I didn't post yesterday. I'm going to post later tonight, and in that post Brainaic's army is going to attack the Watchtower and the battle will be on. And Cartwright you're clear to post if you want, introduce you're character, find a way to involve him in the battle (it will come to the ground level as well).

I'll get creative when a window opens itself up for me ^.^

Superhero Name: Maximus

Civilian Identity: Maximus

Appearance: (he stands at 7ft tall)


Powers and Abilities:

Advanced Machine Strength (testing has recoded Maximus being able to lift 100,000 tons, equal to lifting an aircraft carrier, (imagine getting a fistful of that in your face, ouch))

Advanced Machine Speed (running speed has been recorded at 700mph and higher, faster then the speed of sound, reaction time is almost instantaneous, fast enough to dodge bullets almost at point blank range)

Advanced Machine Flight (top speed in the air has been recorded above Mach 30, over 22 836mph)

Energy Projection (Maximus can fire beams of immense energy from his hands and his chest)

Energy Shielding (A near invisible light blue field of energy covers Maximus's body at all times, this shield can take a lot of damage, but the more it takes, the more visible it becomes until it gives out, then it will need to recharge, if the shields don't give out after being bit by what ever is hitting it, they will recharge in a matter of seconds)

Mixed Alloy Body (Maximus's body is a combined mixture of the strongest metals on earth, normally that would weaken the mix, but thanks to a new metal found in space, the metals combined are stronger then anything that earth has ever seen, making his body heat resistant, freeze resistant, and nearly indestructible, as well as making him weigh in at 10 tons)

Invisibility (hundreds of thousands of microscopic light bending panels over Maximus's body allow him to appear invisible, though if someone was standing right in front of him they'd see a faint distortion in the air)

Multi-vision (Maximus is able to see with infrared, electric-pulses, echolocation, Night-vision, motion-sensing, and normally)

Auto-Repair systems (if damage is received it will eventually be repaired overtime)

Biography: Project Maximus was an idea years before the Justice League was ever thought of, but it never had the funding or resources to begin itself, a lone scientist in America worked for years trying to make the blueprints for project Maximus, making sure before he even brought the idea forward to the world that it would work. His idea was to build machines that would be able to protect the people like the hero's did, but they'd be official, and mass-produced to protect the entire world, but as the years went by, funding was still low and help was scarce, so to help his funding, he made smaller inventions here and there and sold them. Eventually he made enough money to hire some help, as word got out about project Maximus, more soon searched out the lone scientist to see if it was true, until the military took interest, when they came before him with the promise of funding, any tools he needed and all the help he could get he couldn't refuse. Years had passed by, the Justice League had been made, and the lone scientist had succumb to age, with his passing, all rights to project Maximus belonged to the military, and it's creation went into overdrive. Years passed by, more and more changes to the designs were made and added to the original design, new technologies were added as well, but there was a few problems, when Project Maximus was finished and they had a fully operational prototype they came to the realisation that they lacked one material to make more of Maximus, the metal they had discovered that came from space was not found on earth, and all of it was used in Maximus's creation.
Even though they could make more with different metals, making them much weaker then the first, they had sunk hundreds of billions of dollars in the Maximus project, to make more, they would need money they didn't have to spare, so they had to settle with the one they had, but even then there were complications, since the Justice League was established the need for another hero, a mechanical one at that, wasn't needed, so project Maximus was shutdown, and hidden away. That is until Lex Luthor happened to find a hidden file that contained some information on Project Maximus, it intrigued him to dig for more information, so dig he did. Eventually, he found out everything about Project Maximus, except the location in which Maximus was hidden, but with enough money and persuasion, and some black mailing, the location was given to him. Now, he sets out to go and get Maximus for himself, whether he has to pay his way to it, or fight his way to it, or pay someone to fight their way to it for him, little do they know that ever since Project Maximus was complete, Maximus has been online, waiting to be called into action

okay =3 now, to plan my entry post.... hmmm... seams how Maximus's Bio includes Lex Luthor wanting to get him, and Batman & Robin just so happen to be going after Lex Luthor at the moment, maybe I can make something work... *slowly grows a mischievous grin*

Also other than 'funded by Lex Luthor" it...kinda seems like he's an OC without any connections to the DCU in any format but that's less important.

Does Supergirl exist in this Universe? Perhaps as one of the people trapped in Kandor?

I'd like to make one, but I'm not sure if I want him to be a permanent character or not.

I had pm'd Zeus the CS and he said it was accepted, then he just said to post it in the OOC, so I did =3 I guess, I could have waited for it to be formally accepted in the OOC.... and since I had the idea of Lex Luthor being in my CS's Bio to help bring him into the story before you had posted about Batman & Robin going to Luthor, I thought I might be able to bring him into the story that way, perhaps mix things up a little? eh-heh... but your right......, I should have asked you about doing that before posting, I just didn't think about it at the moment.... sorry... *lowers head apologetically*.... as for him not being connected to the DCU... yeah I had a hard time trying to think of something so I went with what I thought up =3

She is one of the people trapped In Kandor yes. I didn't want her existing yet because I wanted to emphasize the sole survivor aspect of Superman, to mak the revelation about Kandor's existence have more of an impact on him.

I did approve his bio, and I thought being funded by Lex Luthor was a sufficient connection to the DCU. That's not really that dissimilar to being something like a former sidekick of an established superhero, which is what Shifter is. "Having a connection to the DCU" is an admittedly vague statement, but I do think that Maximums fits the bill.

Next time just be sure to send a quick PM first. But I'm sure you guys can work things out. As it stands right now, Batman and Robin are infiltrating Luthor's tower to get info on the whole Kahndaq situation. All NacNak really established was that Luthor happened to be watching some scientists work on something while this was going on.

There's a code red at the Watchtower right now, but Dblade and Vita be sure to complete your mission with Lex before reporting back to the Watchtower and joining in the fight. It's believable that Batman would want to take care of that first, because he's more of a street-level hero, and there's plenty of superpowered heroes in the Justice League to handle cosmic threats. Batman is an asset against those threats, no doubt about it, but he's real expertise is investigation.

I'm going to let BlackSam make a post in the IC first, because his last post left off with Aquaman going to speak to J'onn about some issues with Atlantis and I feel like he should have the opportunity to have that conversation, or at least start to have it, before Brainainc's forces show up and he has to hop into battle. So after BlackSam's next psot, I'll try to post again. I really think the ideas that BlackSam has brought to the table, like Atlantis being fed up with humans dumping waste in the water and stuff like that, fits well with the theme of the story and the reason Brainiac has come to Earth in the first place. In the future having Brainaic sort of trying to turn Aquaman against the humans and trying to show him how inherently evil he believes them to be will set up some great character moments. And I'm hoping that in the climax of the story we might see Aquaman calling upon the armies of Atlantis to rise up and help defend the humans or something to that effect. That would be a perfect story arc.
