No problem. Thanks for the heads up. With the 'timelines' it's difficult to fall behind unless you are absent for several weeks. You can always go back to a timeline and complete whatever interactions that you had going.

I don't know what your methods are, but I usually plan my posts by writing small notes and ideas in my phone, or whatever, of things that I want to cover in a post—makes it easier and faster to write the damn thing when I get around to it!

I actually have a notebook dedicated to writing down ideas. It's a complete mess at first glance though :P ...It's a vomit of... stuff.

Olivia was not the logical choice for command, and she appears to be bewildered by it herself, but there are a number of potential reasons as to why she was chosen by the Council. Some of those reasons rests within her personality; things like "decisiveness, sophistication, magnetism, and confidence." The third paragraph of her biography also sets her up as the perfect leader for this particular group. It's something that the Council would have noticed over the years. When you have a power-house group like this, you need something beyond the traditional commander to lead. So, to answer your question: she was the obvious choice, but not the logical one, and it was not a recent decision. I can imagine that Thael would have been a better choice, and I would expect him to have some kind of reaction to all of this—short-term and long-term.

I mean, it isn't like anyone has been working their little butt off, taking every available opportunity to earn every tactical and operations commendations he could get. Who is efficient, professional, and discrete in all he does. No, no there's no one who could deserve command more.

And there certainly isn't anyone with some deep seated insecurities or control issues who would be intensely jealous by the decision. Nope. No one.

On an unrelated note, I was thinking along similar lines to Ozzie about how difference spirits would provoke different reactions in others. I definitely like the tactile feedback idea. If people want to explore that one further as time goes on, I think there are some interesting ways that could impact the narrative from both the standpoint of interpersonal interaction as well as possibly feeding into a greater understanding of the spirits and what have you.

For Remi's part, I imagine anyone with a spiritual affinity who gets a read on his own reservoir of spirits would get sensations symptomatic of claustrophobia, a loss of personal space, paranoia, general feelings of oppression, or are simply overwhelmed by the raw volume of data.

And on the subject of collaborative posts. I had a google doc up already for collaborating, but if people are going to use a different venue for it I'm game, just let me know how I can hop in.

It should be like all the other intro posts, seeing as Aaron has technically been there the entire time (just not in written format; it's an assumption). You just tack on what's presently happening, I'll assume. ^^

Read Prisk's post on the other page about the timeline dealio. I think that should help explain how you should throw Aaron in there. :)

As for me, I think I'll harass Oz until he does a Roy/Thael post with me. :D

Sarcasm is my favorite form of humor as well! I'm sure Remi will shove his tactical prowess down Olivia's throat each and every time the opportunity presents itself! Oh yes, I'm sure of it. Yup. Yup, every time. Always. I'm counting on it, for the sake of drama!

@Prisk I definitely intend to have Thael take issue with decision, at least internally, because good soldiers don't complain do they? And maybe he'll start to feel inadequate, and maybe that'll start to affect his performance, and MWAHAHA no nice things for anybody!

@Tenish I think it's a neat idea to expand on the feedback. I figured very opposite spirits would have the most obvious feedback, while others were more subtle.

Well good news I am working on a post as we speak and will most likely post in the evening tomorrow. As a question Prisk...I know Aaron uses his wind spirits to dash around and such but how would you feel if Aaron also used some sort of ODM gear similar to Attack on Titan? My reason for that is so that he can go through majorly populated areas without having to over use his spirits

@Archangel, the spirits already allow Guardians to perform unnatural acrobatic moves, so something like the odm-gear would not be necessary, even if the gear would allow them to perform even crazier stuff. And, don't worry about 'over using' spirits. It doesn't work like that. They do not get 'tired', you do not get tired as you're not the one doing anything, and there is no 'mana' pool.

Unrelated note: I've twisted my brain inside out the last couple of days by attempting to conceive some proper Combat GM-guidelines, but I think I'm close to something decent. Basically, it allows me to objectively (to some extent) judge the outcome of combat scenarios without the use of numbers, dice, attributes, or any other crazy tabletop stuff. And the best part is, I don't even have to show it to the players for it work properly. They can just roleplay as they normally would.

That's fair. I guess I'm so used to trying to build a character with believeable flaws and such that I guess that has become the norm for me.
