Robert stood in the base's recreational area playing the latest installment of "Guitar Hero" on his new X-box 1080. Halfway through "Iron man" by Black Sabbath, though, the alarm on a nearby console started going off, and he knew they were getting a message from the higher-ups in the Order. He paused the game and went over to read the mission dossier. Shit, he thought, that's going to set up back months or even years if we don't fix the situation quickly. He activated the base's internal communications system, hoping everyone was around, but knowing that the computer would message anyone that wasn't. "Attention people, we just got a priority" he thought over the mission rating system to make sure he had it right. Yellow for important, orange for necessary, red for right now, and black for when things go FUBAR. "a priority red mission from the higher ups. Everyone to the briefing room."
He walked down the hall, not bothering to turn off the game, and entered the briefing room. When he figured everyone was there that was going to show up, he activated the holoprojector in the center of the room. "As you know, when Magneto retired from the villain game, he left his two children, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in charge. Unfortunately, we just got these images of the Brotherhood attacking a prison for dangerous mutants just outside of Atlanta. They've got at least thirty mutants on their side, and the local Mutant Crimes Division and Swat Teams are getting slaughtered. It will take S.H.I.E.L.D. at least an hour to get a team there, but they'll have freed the prisoners and escaped by then. The higher-ups are concerned that this will lead to public outrage and fear against mutants. They want us to fix it. Any suggestions?"

Catia was slightly hungover, mostly tired, and extremely annoyed when the intercom system started up. She cringed at it's loudness but none the less, shoved her head and limbs threw in a shirt and went to go investigate. She popped back the two aspirin she had grabbed from her medicine cabinet and yanked her hair back into a ponytail as she walked into the conference room.
"Is it really quite necessary for the intercom to be so goddamn loud. I mean I get the need to hear it but honestly...I could hear that if I was dead." She informed Robert as she plopped herself into a chair. She started playing with the holoprojector before everyone else came in, making it turn on and off until she got bored. After that she leaned back with her eyes closed, willing for her headache to go away. Unfortunately her powers don't work like that, and she wasn't about to ask anyone else. They weren't the X-Men, or SHIELD, everyone here were a bunch of self serving assholes, or at least the ones that could make her headache go away.
As he went over to briefing she frowned. She had met Wanda, before Magneto decided he was out of the game, and to be honest this just didn't sound like her.
"We should try and detain the siblings, and try to convince them to step down. I don't think they're evil...they're just lost." She said, willing the image to turn so the opposite side was facing her.

Annabelle had been one of the first to arrive, taking a seat and crossing a leg over her other as she waited for the others to arrive. While she waited she began to file one of her nails using her other finger which was now representing a razor sharp diamond version, casually filing away at a nail. She sometimes wondered what she'd do for the little things such as this without the convenience of her powers but she'd probably have to guess that she'd have more clutter in her bags. She mentally shrugged at the thought before looking up when the projector threw up images while Rob explained what was going on before asking for suggestions. Annabelle sat forwards as her eyes narrowed, looking over the details and thinking over the possibly courses of action they could take. On one hand they could drop in and attempt to secure the area with a tough fight, or on the other hand they could rally with the humans and have a slightly easier fight with likely more casualties. Both of these didn't seem very great in terms of ideas. However that didn't stop her from coming up with something simple but promising if the execution was done correctly. She raised her hand to gain Rob's attention before she spoke. "I would suggest we take the rapid response route and hit hard and fast. Maybe drop in behind them and pinch them between us and the humans. If we co-ordinate correctly we can keep them busy till S.H.I.E.L.D arrives with support. Once they do, we can then begin securing the prisoners, assuming they have already escaped and maybe even apprehend one of the Brotherhood for further leads" she said softly in a strong English accent.

"I suppose a flanking maneuver could work, but we're not exactly well known as crime fighters. We'll have to go in with our Mercenary outfits on. I'm sure they won't turn us down, or even decide not to pay us, as bad as things are going. Of course, I'm not sure if Iron Man's paint job will let it fit in as a Security Robot. Then again, I'm not the military expert here." In any military mission, he knew the group should let Stephen Chance lead. He was the actual military officer here, after all.
"As for capturing the kids, if they really don't want to fight, I could make them stand down, or maybe Annabelle could hold them and force them to. I doubt even Quicksilver could break her grip. If they don't want to end this peacefully, though, we'll have a tough fight on our hands. Catia, could your good luck cancel out Scarlet Witch's powers? Or at least make her weary of using them?

Jia-li frowned as her yoga was halted by the sound of Robert's voice over the intercom. With a heavy, irritated sigh, she packed up her things and went to her room to change. A simple pair of black cargo pants and a longsleeve black top would suffice for her outfit as she stepped into some flats and headed for the briefing room. Her feet made nearly silent taps on the floor as she slipped through the halls unnoticed by many.

When she entered the room, a few were already discussing a plan of action and it halted for a moment as she walked in. "Sorry. Continue." she said, her voice low and firm, almost demanding. She sat farthest from the others and pulled up part of the projection closer to her face. She listened quietly as she looked over each image closely. When she spoke her accent was very pronounced.

"Criminals huh. I suppose just killing them all would be out of the question?" she paused. "I think we should retrive the remaining MCD and Swat Team members and remove them from the equasion. Get them out, move them to safety and then focus on the prisoners."

Jia-li eyed an image of the two siblings and said "I second the idea of getting these two under control. They will have no choice but to comply. We will convince them. I suggest two teams. One in charge of getting the innocents to safety and preventing further harm, the other would 'talk' to the two and try to get them to surrender." She returned the images and sat back in her chair, swiveling it slowly and even spinning around once. Her left hand would reach up and appear to try to rub the angry furrow of her brows. It would work for a moment before her natural scowling face would return.

Steven Chance, aka El Tee, enters into the room wearing black military fatigues and being freshly cleaned and shaved, tossing a handful of subvocal mic's on the table. "First off, this isn't a military operation. And secondly, we shouldn't be killing anyone unless absolutely necessary.....or the Higher-Ups want us to. One of our priorities should be figuring out specifically WHO they're wanting out of Atlanta, and that's only assuming that they aren't a diversion to make S.H.I.E.L.D. look like morons." El Tee takes an empty seat between everyone and Jia-li, turns it around, and sits in it backwards. "Oh, and keep in mind, guys.....The Order's a secret. If we go in, we should wear Merc outfits or those from S.H.I.E.L.D. I doubt the twins know everyone who's in S.H.I.E.L.D." He thoughtfully strums his fingers on the desk for a few moments. "Two teams would make sense, in our current predicament. As Jia-li said, we could have one team assisting the MCD and SWAT in surviving.....errrmm....Evacuating the guards and civilians while securing the perimeter should be that team's priority. The other team, a more focused and direct team should neutralize and remove the Brotherhood threat. Now.....do we know what Brotherhood members are currently inside the prison, whether as an inmate or a rescuer?" He sits comfortably and waits for the techsperts to give the group more information.

Stark was at her company doing mundane tasks and thinking of improvements to current Stark technology specifically the incendiary kind when she got a message from the Order. "Finally they call me for something." She said out loud speaking to no one. She reads the message. "There are days that I enjoyed reading about The Punisher and his lethal take down of criminals." She turned to the intercom. "I'll be out of the office for the rest of the day, maybe tomorrow. You know the drill." Topanga never bothered to learn Pepper's replacements name, there been at least a dozen, some didn't even it make it a week because the lack the ability to bullshit.

Stark walked over to her private elevator and pressed the button labeled with a picture of cartoon explosion. Once the elevator reached the desired location, Stark's private work shop she headed to a platform situated in front of a display case showcasing every Iron Man armor since Afghanistan. All of them were in pristine working condition with all the latest tech installed. Once on the platform a single clap signaled the machines to begin assembling and sealing the Iron Man armor on to her body.

The Iron Man armor calculated the fastest time to the location. "This unit will meet you on scene in 10.2567 minutes." Spoken in the usual mechanical baritone voice. Stark had the armor bring up the locations of all the Iron S.H.I.E.L.D. armors. If they were pulled off whatever there current mission was or were finished they would be there soon. "Stark's knockoff Iron S.H.I.E.L.D. armors based on Hammer Industries designs for Titanium Man could be there in as soon as 30.6789 minutes." S.H.I.E.L.D. has no clue that Stark built a secret transmitter into her armors it wouldn't allow for control but it told her where they were at all times with a two foot margin of error. If S.H.I.E.L.D. did know about the secret transmitter they certainly haven't done anything about it. Every once in a while she will pop on the stealth armor to check to see if they were actually where the transmitter says they were.

Iron Man flies towards a wall, Iron Man keeps on flying through the passageway. When the door closes another opens filling the passageway with water from the river beside Stark Tower. Iron Man shoots out from the river and heads toward the location.

Russell slid his goggles back onto his head and pulled his earplugs out, immediatly regretting that decision, he put them back in and turned down the music, allowing the music playing headphones to double as sound dampeners, he listened until the end of the message and then headed for the conference room, making a couple detours on his way there to gather his thoughts and information, though it didn't take long to get there.

Arriving in the briefing room shortly after El Tee but striking a stark contrast to the clean shaven military man, Russell was wearing his usual, a scruffy looking beard, shorts, a necklace his father had given him, his goggles and a tool belt. Not a very large fan of shirts or shoes, Russell was glowing red all over while he spoke, which he did after a moment of the room looking at him expectantly, getting up and moving while doing so.

"It took me a minute to break into the prison's camera system, the thing is ancient, but I did it nonetheless, I was also able to access the rollcall list, though you won't like what you see" As he said this Russell moved his fingers seemingly erratically before a list showed up on the projector, it was a long list at first, showing almost a hundred names in small font but then it began zooming in, showing fewer and fewer names "I could be wrong, but my guess is that they want one or both of these two" as the rest of the names faded away, two began to stick out, eventually being the only two names there, the words floating in the air above all that happened, revolving on the holo projector were, in large letters under the words solitary confinement: Creed, Victor. Alias: Sabretootht and below it Marko, Cain. Alias: Juggernaut Russell was silent for a moment in order to let that fully sink in.

"Thus far I haven't seen Quicksilver, though that doesn't mean he's not there, as I can only look so well, but so far the pictures and the camera's tell us that the party Inside the prison consists of Scarlet Witch, Blink, Havoc and two new guys, whose abilities seem to be connected somehow, while the party outside the prison mostly consists of pretty much everyone else; Toad, Pyro, etc" the large technopath said after a moment, then, having said his piece Russell sat down and stopped glowing.

Annabelle listened as the others expressed their opinions and ideas of how to tackle the issue. She nodded to Rob as he mentioned that she could hold them down, confirming that it was definitely something she could do. Quicksilver would be hard to grab considering his speed, but if she could get inside his mind she'd be able to stay ahead of his moves long enough to intercept him. As for Scarlet Witch, well she'd have to be allot more careful. In any case she was up for giving it a go. She listened intently as Russel read off what he'd found inside the prison before looking to El Tee. "Considering what Ruseel just said, what would you have in mind In terms of teams?" she asked. She trusted El Tee with these sorts of things, he hadn't let them down before and his strategic experience always proved invaluable in situations such as this.

Catia bit her lip as she considered.
"I won't be able to counteract her mutation or her powers directly but I will be able to alter the results. Make it that instead of hurting us, she's hurting her own people, etc. That being said, I only increase probability. I can't be lucky all the time so I'm not an outright solution to her. Not to mention if I'm messing with his sister, Quicksilver might have something to say about that. I can't change the probability of something I can't see." Catia said, before listening to what Steven and Russell had to say.
"We shouldn't make assumptions. It will make us sloppy." She said, eyeing Robert. She didn't know the exact extent of his powers but he could control most of the human brain, or so he made it seem sometimes.
"Robert, I have a theory. Is there any way that you can make me blind to everything but that chair?" She asked him, pointing to an empty chair as she started to formulate a theory. She couldn't affect things she couldn't see, true, but she could affect things around her to achieve her ultimate goal. If she could make Quicksilver hit something, then that would stop him long enough for Annabelle to grab him.

Robert propped his chin on his hand thinking. "Havok took up more of a leadership position under Magneto, training troops and working as an advisor. This could just be a change in the organization, the kids giving him a different role to fill, or even a promotion, but it might also mean that it was worth risking him in order to succeed in this mission. If that's the case, we should be extra careful. And with Blink there, they can escape any time they want to." He listened to Catia's request, then thought about it. "Well, if you wanted it hard enough, I could make your brain essentially delete everything but the chair, give you a sort of psychosomatic blindness. Would that help?"

Xyl joined the meeting about half way through, but given the way everyone was repeating what was going on he figured out enough of the story by the time he sat down. so they were trying to come up with a plan huh.. not a bad idea. "ooh ooh I have a slightly self destructive idea. take out the teleporter first so they cant escape. but those ones are tricky cuz they, well ya know...teleport" he threw in a comment that was barely relevant to what anyone was talking about. Sure they were talking about team formations and neutralizing Quickgrey and the Scarlet letter or what ever there names were but a teleporter is a teleporter. they tend to be real good at teleporting, he would know he's a teleporter. Wait...that means they would one him to deal with the teleporter, probably, so he'd have to be on that team. yay for shooting people. He scratched his chin trying to remember where he put his 'fun-gun' at as everyone continued to plan things and make decisions.

As El Tee looks around the room, he starts formulating a plan in his mind (For those who are reading it). He begins to categorize everyone present, what their powers are, what their strengths and weaknesses are, etc. You got Robert, who's a manipulator of the mind. There's Catia, luck extraordinaire, who'd be good on any team. Annabelle, who's a thought provoking tank. Jia-li, nuker and blaster. Iron Man, another blaster, but nicer than Jia-li. Russell, if it's electronic, he can work with it, and he'll need to be protected. And Xyl, a stronger telepath and he can get us wherever we need to go.
"So, five hostiles on the inside and an unknown amount on the outside. We can't go one for one on this one unless we get more backup. So, team one will infiltrate the prison and team two will keep those on the outside busy until S.H.I.E.L.D. shows up or they get pulled out by The Brotherhood. Team one is Diamond, Lucky, Void, and IN. Team two is El Tee, Mindbender, and Iron Man. Techno, do you want to stay here or be dropped off in the prison security area? You'll be able to react faster if you're onsite, but, it's not required with your capabilities. There are comm's on the table, courtesy of Techno. I'm guessing that they have locators on them so he knows where everyone is. Team two will be dropped off first to survey the scene, then IN will transport Team one inside. Techno, you need to find them a safe location to start from, and keep them posted and up to date as to the locations of the hostiles. If you see Quicksilver, let the team know immediately."
He scratches his freshly shaven chin and ponders a moment. "IN, that's a good idea, but I'd like to tweak it slightly. Team one, throw everything you can at them early on. Try to make them think that there's more of you than in actuality. This way, they may pull out early through Blink, which would take care of those on the inside except ones they've set loose."
"Also, teams, don't try to acquire a prisoner, but if one happens to fall in your lap, bring'em in." He looks around the table at everyone present. "Any questions or tweaks? Speak up."

"Just one moment please. Yes Robert, that would be perfect." Catia said, before her vision faded out and all she could see was the chair. She knew Robert was near the chair, but if she were to push it without the help of her mutation it wouldn't go anywhere near him. She focused on the chair, completely.
The chair is going to hit Robert, the chair is going to hit Robert.
She repeated that over and over again so when she reached out and hit the chair(after several attempts because she couldn't see herself either) the chair went flying and it Robert. Or so she thinks after hearing a slight thud.
"Did that actually work?" Catia asked, looking at the chair which was several feet away and overturned. She couldn't see anything else though, so she didn't know for sure.
"May I have my sight back?" She asked, blinking, looking around even though she couldn't see anything.

Techno stood up and began glowing again, waving his fingers and bringing up a blueprint of the prison as El Tee finished the overview, he snapped his fingers and a little robot came in with a bottle of beer and a t-shirt, putting on the t-shirt, taking a swig of the brew and happily sighing afterward he thanked the little bot as it scurried out of the room, the large Technopath said, his t-shirt lighting up with strange designs from his skin "I'll be offsite, it'll be easier to get the signals necessary, and this way you guys don't have to worry about keeping me safe, not to mention that if something should happen to all of you I'll be here to call in some sort of cavalry" a red dot suddenly appeared on the holo-projector inside one of the rooms, the visual expanded to a closer version of the map, with several blue dots running up the hall toward the newly appeared red one "You'll want to port in here, the warden's office, it'll put you almost directly on top of where they'll be, based on their speed, and general direction, provided there isn't anything that slows us up" Techno began waving his hands again and the Comms flew to the members in the room "Your comms have also been individualized to respond to your powers" He winked at some of the more destructive members of the team "so as long as no one is TRYING to destroy the tech, and nobody get's blasted in the ear, they should survive the fight"

Techno 'powered down' as he liked to call it as Catia began speaking, listening and watching intently, waiting for something to happen.

Robert stood up, having been knocked over when the chair hit him. Once Catia wanted to see enough, Robert released her subconscious desires, knowing that she'd start seeing again once she really wanted to. "Thanks for knocking me over." he said to Catia, then looked at El Tee. "I have two ideas before we begin. First, I assume you've seen movies with "bullet time" in them. There have been verified cases in which a person's perception of time has slowed to the point where they can read a bullet casing being kicked out of the gun beside them. Unfortunately, it requires the body to produce insane amounts of adrenaline. Because of that, El Tee's the only one here that I think could handle it for more than a few seconds. The rest of us would have their muscles and ligaments torn within four or five seconds. He could last for at least a minute. If Quicksilver comes at us, I think it might be our best shot at stopping him, as he's able to do something similar, but better, naturally. Number two, there's got to be some bad blood between the Brotherhood members, as well as some of them that would rather not fight. If I can get a shot at them, then I think I might be able to rout a few of them before they get a shot off. The malcontents, of course, will take the opportunity to have their revenge."

Annabelle listened intently as El Tee put teams together and put forwards a plan. It was as sound as any other, although the reality of all plans was that nothing was ever certain on the field and therefore plans were always subject to change. An audible thud snapped her from her thoughts as she caught sight of a chair flying into Robert, causing her to blink for a second before she refocused on an important detail that thought crossed her mind. She opened her mouth to ask about how they planned to communicate between the teams before Techno spoke and gave them all communicators, answering her question. She gave a satisfied smile and took her device before looking to Techno, "So... will this transform when I do? because otherwise it might just fall straight off" she asked sheepishly, hoping it wouldn't be too much of a problem. Worst case scenario she could use her telepathy, but it would be useful not to have to apply attention to that during the possibility of combat.

awesome, Xyl didnt know they had flying chairs. The day was getting better and better. While everyone was discussing tactics and what ever He idly wondered what dinner would be. "so not teleporter battle. got it. I guess i can try to make Quicksilver run through a portal into a wall. that should be funny right?" He asked so people thought he was paying attention. Since he was on team one he wanted a team one kind of dinner. something Spicy with lots of meat, Thats what team one is all about. He put the Communicator in his ear. The art of misdirection was a golden idea, absolutely superb, and portals make that fun...i mean easier. a boom here a bang there, and suddenly they think their surrounded. few gunshots here and there and he is literally a one man army. Suddenly he liked this plan but then he remembered that He was on a team, team one to be exact and he had to work with people. That sucked the fun right out of it.

Jia-li had her eyes closed and her hands lay loosely in her lap as she meditated quietly while listening to her orders and the proposed plans. Techno spoke about communicators and how they were adapted to their powers. Seemed cool in theory but there was nothing that adapted to her power. Things were crushed, reduced to nothing, and left without hope of ever returning. As the comm flew towards her, she caught it midair in her hand before slowly opening her eyes. She gazed at the small device before attaching it to her ear. "I do have one question. What if I..." she said, but hesitated for a moment, trailing off. She looked at the people around the table and wondered if she should even bring it up. Jia-li frowned and stood. She wouldn't need to worry about it. She had her emotions under control so there was nothing to fear. Things would be okay...

"Actually nevermind. Are we done here?" she said in an annoyed tone. She wanted to get out of this room. Being in an enclosed space with all of her friends when she felt like a time bomb was surely not making her stress reduce at all. Friends... she thought. Is that what they are? Is that why I care so much...? She realized she was standing there awkwardly and opted to just sit back down and wait to be dismissed.

El Tee nods to Xyl, "That sounds like an idea. Maybe portal him into a wall, like you suggested, or half a mile into the air, or even into a vat of syrup. Just something to get him out of commission and out of our hair." He pushes himself off of the backwards chair. "Alright. Unless anyone else has anything to add, then we need to get moving because people are dying. Gear up and meet in the weapons room in less than 5 minutes." Assuming everyone will do their part, El Tee leaves.
He heads down to the weapons room, popping the subvocal mic into his ear on the way down. After he arrives, he holsters a sidearm and one of those new Tasers that Techno has been working on. He then grabs some webgear and puts it on over his fatigues. On the webgear, he puts in four magazines for the sidearm, four reloads for the taser, two gas grenades, two smoke grenades, and two explosive grenades. In his thigh holster, he places a dart gun that shoots transceivers, so that Techno can have more blips on his radar.
As everyone else arrives, he helps divvy out weapons and such. "Last chance for a bathroom break before the excrement strikes the oscillating device."
