Light, I think at least one of us should have a character to help keep the group from straying too far from the story (even though stuff like side quests, etc. will be available.)

Just so everyone knows, Most of what's left for the CS is the Inventory tab and the Skills/Abilities/Spell system. If either of those things change how you want to make your character after you've made them you'll be allowed to change them to match what you want, so don't worry.

Hmm, I most likely going to focus on jester style character. He will be an amusing character who is likely to wield a bow(most likely a recurve) and a dagger. He will follow the sort of rule that some jesters(or bards) are spies and trained in the use of stealthy weapons and poisons.

We have quite a few characters who seem to be following the path of the warrior builds but only two people going other builds(Me included). One mage who focuses on supportive magic and one(me) focusing on a ranger/assassin style character.

//TECHNICALLY// any form of combat will be possible for all characters, since there are //no// classes. A character who's built similar to a Paladin can still use magics other than holy/light. A "thief" can use a greatsword. Because parameters can be built in anyway and because Skills/Spells can be accessed by anyone who qualifies for them (usually a base parameter value will be needed, such as "X INT needed to learn this spell"), anyone CAN do anything. HOWEVER that doesn't mean it is easy. A great deal of balancing ensures that attempting to build a character with features from multiples "class-like" styles is viable, but wont be as specialized as one who focuses on one style. (Jack of all trades, master of none)

you haven't explained on how the customization of stats work outside of the ranges being 1-99 but not being lower than 3 on char gen

Well the explanations for what each parameter does was (I hoped) enough to help you guys create personalities, histories, and faces to go along with generalized builds while we iron out the kinks of the game.

Oh you know what might be smart? Telling you guys which kinds of magic are Arcane and which are Divine. Yes, this is good. Hold on. This will all be in my main post as well.

Each kind of magic (other than Dark) is a gift to the mortals by the four gods that created and decorated Earth, Ignis, Gaia, Luna and Aether. Each god has granted two forms of magic to the mortals to use:

The god that a school of magic comes from is listed in parentheses after the magic.

Arcane Magic
Stacks with INT
Fire (Ignis)
Earth (Gaia)
Water (Luna)
Force (Aether)

Divine Magic
Stacks with FTH
Light (Ignis)
Fey (Gaia)
Air (Luna)
Ethereal (Aether)

Dark is a very special kind of magic, it is shrouded in secret, its mysterious powers have yet to be unlocked.

Njorne, I looked at your CS. Personality and Bio are fine as they are, and the equipment is pretty cool. The only problem is that it's a bit OP for a starting character's equipment. I have two ways to fix this. The first is to simply start without most of them and acquire/create them later on as you gain more levels since the parameter requirements to wield them will probably be too high for a new character. The other is to start with all or most of them in a primitive state, ie. they don't start with all of the abilities suggested. The way you'd get them up to top performance is through skills you acquire later. That will make a bit more sense once skills are presented, which will hopefully be before I go to sleep tonight.

Another note for everyone (which I'll add to the OP under the new section "Lore"), Mana is something that is more of a form of energy than anything else. It's not tangible in its natural form, only taking shape when a human uses their ability to control their mana to create something. In other words, there's no naturally-occurring "Mana Crystals". There are, however, special ores that don't do much on their own but conduct Mana extremely well and can be charged to contain and store mana like a battery.

Hmm alright! I will change it accordingly, I'll nix the hammer's abilities and the glove's abilities. The gun will be taken completely out but I'd like to at least keep the goggles for utility! I'll change the idea of how to use it all as well.

They don't have to be removed completely. You can if you want to, but I would at least save the ideas in your head for the future. I can help you implement them into your character's future.

A rule of thumb for creating characters, it's alright to have ideas but try to be conservative with what your Lv. 1 character begins with.
