Appearance:

Personality: A self-confident pretty young girl, who rarely forgots to tell how cute her Pokemon are. She is most of the time really happy but can easily start to complain. Brief Bio: Whitney's talent attracted the attention of Pokemon league soon after she started Pokemon battling and she become the gym leader of Goldenrod city. That's her current position. *Name: Ba'al. (Also Baal, Hadad, Melqart, Baal-hamon, etc, etc)
*Universe: Stargate
*Appearance:

*Personality: Ruthless, with a good understanding of human nature, wry and sardonic rather than melodramatic and megalomaniacal.Has a superiority complex but realizes it and works within it. Prefers subtlety and manipulation to brute force, willing to be 'hands on' in important affairs. Rational, adaptable, less attached to the trappings of power, yet still seeks to dominate and rule, always works for his best interests, even if it may not seem like it, pragmatic.
*Powers/Skills: He can make his eyes glow and sound like there are two people talking. Perfect health, perfect memory including Goa'uld genetic memory, stronger, faster, increased intelligence, limited capacity to heal wounds beyond the extent of the normal human body,
*Brief Bio: Rose from being one of Ra's underlings to a minor System Lord, his lack of power forcing him to work by other methods. After Ra turned against him for various reasons, Ba'al aligned himself with Sokar, an alliance that stood for generations and allowed Ba'al to carve himself an empire amongst the stars. Eventually Ba'al rebelled, Sokar sent ships to stop him, and Ba'al blew up two solar systems, killing over sixty million people. They then made peace.

After Ra died, Ba'al went into the service of Apophis, and when he died, operated as a System Lord amongst equals. He voted to restore Anubis to the rank of System Lord in order to learn more about his foe, but when Anubis attacked the System Lords, he was given command of the Goa'uld Empire's forces, because Lord Yu was becoming senile and couldn't do it. He managed to destroy Anubis's flagship, though the half ascended Goa'uld escaped. He then took over most of Anubis's holdings to become the most powerful system lord, absorbing Moloc's domain after his death in turn.

He then attacked, and soon subdued all but three of the other system lords, however Anubis returned and Ba'al found himself in service under him. This was only stopped by the Replicator invasion of the Milky Way Galaxy, and though he fought a losing battle, he eventually helped to defeat that foe. When he tried to take Dakara though, Rebel Jaffa stormed his ship, and he was forced to flee, heralding the death knell of the Goa'uld Empire.

But that wa snot the last of him. Ba'al fled to Earthand set up there, taking over the Trust and using cloning technology to..make clones of himself. His clones proceeded to do various schemes to restore his power base, including taking over the Free Jaffa Nation to gain access to the Dakara superweapon. Eventually he was forced to work with SG1 to recover a device that could kill the Ori and the Ancients. One of his clones took over Adria, but was later removed.

At the last, the real Ba'al attempted to use time travel via stargate to go into the past and change things to his benefit. But rather than appearing there, he has appeared here instead.
*Equipment: Zat'nik'tel (An electricity gun that shocks when shot once, then kills when shot again, then vaporizes all organic matte ron the third shot)

*Name: Sorin Markov

*Universe: Innistrad (Magic the Gathering)

*Appearance "I have seen entire civilizations rise and fall. You mortals are but dust to me."

*Personality: Centuries of life and experience give Spring an easy confidence, but detachment from the perspective of mortals. His condescending and sarcastic demeanor disguise his ingrained sadism and paranoia, and his willingness to hold a grudge for eons. Sorin lives by following his whims, no matter how cruel or deadly, always searching out new novelties and entertainment. Even so, he feels obligated to maintain the sanctity of the Multiverse, and almost always has business of the utmost importance on other worlds.

*Powers/Skills: Sorin is a master of Black magic, with a particular talent for psychic magic. He specializes in a secretive art known as Sangromancy, with which he can raise the dead, create minions, consume the life of his enemies, corrupt their flesh, or even control their minds. He is also adept in White magic, allowing him to strengthen and heal himself and his allies.

As a vampire of Innistrad, Sorin is imbued with immortal life, can project an aura of silence around himself, and is twice as physically powerful as a normal human. Naturally, he can also sire other vampires, but this is a fairly lengthy and involved process.

As a Planeswalker, Sorin is imbued with the ability to escape the confines of universes and survive the chaos of the Blind Eternities between universes so that he can travel between them.

*Brief Bio: Born a prince of Stensia in the plane of Innistrad approximately six-thousand years ago, Sorin was the second vampire to ever exist on Innistrad. His grandfather, Edgar, turned himself into a vampire through alchemical experiments and dark magic, and then shared this "blessing" with his favored grandson, Sorin. The transformation was so traumatic that it ignited Sorin's "spark," turning Sorin into a multiverse-travelling entity known as a Planeswalker.

In his many years of life, Sorin has visited thousands of worlds, often making arrangements toward their protection and the protection of the Multiverse as a whole. These most notably include trapping the Eldrazi on Zendikar, and creating the angel Avacyn to protect the humans of Innistrad. The latter action made him a pariah among his kind, who could not see far enough ahead to know that the extinction of humans would spell doom for vampires.

*Equipment: Sorin carries the Parasite Blade, a sword that viciously drains the mana of anything it strikes. The weapon is so evil that its blade does not reflect light.

*Others: Sorin's planeswalking ability has been suppressed by an unknown force, trapping him to this plane.

Name: Vash the Stampede

Universe: Trigun (anime canon)

Appearance:

Personality: One could say that Vash carries a bit of a split personality. The vast majority of the time, he’s a lovable goofball – and a bit of a perv – but mostly a goofball. While he sometimes gets hilariously drunk and goes through many failed attempts to hit on women, he spends most of his time eating donuts and roaming the land with his eccentric persona in an attempt to spread love and peace, a ridiculous and painfully innocent set of ideals in the hardened, gun-filled world he comes from. The other side to Vash can be seen, however, when these ideals are threatened. When lives are in danger (and using his goofy guise to get out of a tricky situation fails him), he becomes a much more serious, almost dark character. Believing that no person has the right to take the life of another, he’d be more than willing to endanger himself if it meant saving a life. And, expectedly, he would never kill someone himself, no matter the circumstances.

Powers/Skills: Vash’s most definitive skill is his gunmanship, which stands at superhuman levels. Give him any target or other gun-based challenge and it’s quite unlikely he’ll miss. Additionally, he has extremely fast reflexes – fast enough to dodge the bullets that come at him. Odds are you’d have to be superhuman yourself to land a shot on him. Lastly, he ages much slower than humans do, as he’s technically more than a hundred years old.

Brief Bio: Vash comes from the Wild West-esque planet of Gunsmoke, where he is known planet-wide as Vash the Stampede, a legendary outlaw. Wanted dead-or-alive for $$60,000,000,000, the inhabitants of Gunsmoke know him as a dangerous and ruthless figure, capable of flattening entire cities in his wake. The thought of merely standing in the same room as the man would make most tremble with fear.
…Seriously!

As should be evident by now, Vash is extremely misunderstood in these regards. Most of this lore stems from rumors being blown out of proportion, as well as other disasters and crimes being blamed on him. The stark contrast between what people think he’s like and what he’s actually like cause many to not even recognize the man of legend when they see him. And when they do recognize him, well, hilarity ensues as Vash uses his crazy antics in an attempt to evade huge mobs of people ready to put a bullet through his head. Really, he’s a good man trying to lend a helping hand and spread good values wherever he goes, assuming he’s able to. His criminal record is ground in an ounce of truth, though, as he did destroy the entire city of July – miraculously without killing anyone – though his selective amnesia keeps him from knowing how or why he did it.

As for why he’s so dedicated to pacifism? Long-story-short it’s because of his adoptive mother, Rem, who taught him all these values as a child… only to be killed by his twin brother, Knives, causing Vash to see just how horrific murder is. And while he hasn’t seen Knives in a long time, he knows his brother’s out there somewhere, hunting him down. Despite all this, though, he still can’t bring himself to hate Knives. He’s hardly capable of hating anyone.

Equipment: His most signature piece of equipment is his trusty revolver, the key instrument of his power. While in most regards it’s just a normal revolver, it does have one other use while in Vash’s hands – and that is the fact that, through a great use of his power – it can transform Vash’s entire right arm into a massive energy cannon. However, this is almost never used, not only because it takes so much energy out of Vash (thus making it almost life-threatening to use) but because of Vash’s great concern for the safety of those around him, as well. So, for most intents and purposes, it’s an ordinary gun.

Additionally (though this also isn’t often used), he actually lost his left arm many years ago, and so the arm he has now is in fact a bionic one, and can also transform into a gun in a pinch. He’s unlikely to use it unless he’s in a serious jam and can’t use his usual gun for whatever reason, though. Aaaand, lastly, the bottoms of his shoes have knife blades hidden in them.

Others: You may have figured out by now that Vash isn’t human. That would be correct. As for his actual species…

Name: Joseph Joestar

Universe: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Appearance:

Personality: Joseph is extremely hot-headed, reckless, and short-tempered. He's rarely serious and tends to fool around but he is honestly very savvy, especially when it comes to battle. He will often "predict" what others will say, when it's often very obvious what they will say. He is well-known for getting in trouble and can be quite a ladies man at times (even more so when he is older than he is currently.) Despite his many shortcomings, his heart is in the right place, making him an unlikely hero.

Powers/Skills: Joseph is a user of a martial art style called Ripple. Using the powers of the suns rays, through breathing and empowering the body with the energy of the sun. It boosts Joseph's strength, can be fired in blast, imbued into objects, can reject poison in the bloodstream, and can cause the user to walk on water.

There are weaknesses to Ripple, however. Joseph must constantly breathe to use Ripple effectively (meaning drowning or lack of air can be dangerous). Lack of body heat also causes Ripple to deteriorate.

He also boasts to have a secret technique, but it is really just running away.

Brief Bio: Joseph Joestar is the second important JoJo in the JJBA universe and is the grandson of Jonathan Joestar (and the future father of Josuke, future grandfather of Jotaro Kujo, and future great-grandfather of Jolyne Cujoh.) Raised in New York in the 1900s, he was brought into the Pillar Men conflict, supposedly sacrificing himself in a volcano to destroy their leader, Kars. To his friends and family's surprise, he showed up to his own funeral, using ripple to save himself from death in the last second. It is here in his timeline that he ends up in the Crisis Crossover City.

Equipment: While he is mildly proficient in using heavy weapons, Joseph prefers to fight with a toy called a Clacker (two steel balls attached together by a chain). Thanks to the Ripple, he can power this harmless child's toy into his weapon of choice.

Other: "Now! We run, Smokey!"

Name: Boa Hancock

Universe: One Piece

Appearance:

Personality: "Pirate Empress" Boa Hancock's personality is similar to her title. At first, she seems to be pompous and spoiled rotten. She can also act arrogant and cruel, believing she can do anything and get away with it just because she is revered as the most beautiful woman in the One Piece universe. She is also moderately sly and deceitful. She shows a soft spot for Monkey D. Luffy, however, as she is in love with him.

Deep down, Hancock is a vulnerable woman who worries about how people will think of her if they learn about her childhood. When she grows close to others, she shows a kind and compassionate side not normally seen. However, she still looks down on people and loathes small cute animals.

Powers/Skills: Boa Hancock has eaten the Mero-Mero no Mi (or the Love Love Fruit). This gives her the power to turn to stone anyone who has dirty thoughts about her. If the user does not find Hancock sexually attractive, the power is nullified and useless. It has a secondary power that allows her to create heart arrows.

Outside of that, she has superhuman strength, being possibly the most physically strong female pirate in the One Piece universe. She also can use Two versions of Haki, one boosting her strength and the other knocking out weak-willed opponents (so it is unlikely to work against anyone in this rp.)

Brief Bio: Hancock, along with her sisters, were actually slaves before being freed by Silvers Rayleigh. She was brought to Amazon Lily, and through the years, she was named the Empress of the female only island. She is also one of the seven Warlords of the Sea, mostly being part of them to protect her sisters and Amazon Lily from the World Government.

Equipment: She carried around a snake named Salome, which she uses for tracking.

Others: Despite her appearance, she is actually in her 30s.

@Flamelord: Your Snake is accepted.

@Deadcruiser: A bit iffy on the mind control powers personally, I am sorry to say. Do you have an alternate in mind?

@Kaga: Vash the Stampede is totally in. Peace and love for everybody!

@sarcasticdevotee: Broseph is in. Boa Hancock, her power of petrification is a bit cheap, so I am sorry but I'll have to veto her.

Probably will start the game in two or three days I suppose. And thank you to all those that deigned to grace my thread with your interest. Means a lot to me. ^__^

It takes Sorin a long while to be able to use his mind control spell. About three turns in the game, and only if he's basically left completely alone. It's basically easier for him to kill someone and raise them as an undead thrall.

Noted lack of mention of Josuke in Joseph's bio. May not be best Jojo but Diamond is Unbreakable is best part.

@Dead Cruiser: Still, if he's able to use the mind control spell, there's not much people can do to fight it off, which is why I have reserves. It's not a matter of how easy it is to pull off, but how hard it is to defend against.

The defense against Sorin's mind control, as in the game, is not letting him do it. It's essentially his "ultimate" ability, and it takes a pretty inept player to allow a Planeswalker to "ult" like that.

Normally I wouldn't even include the mind control spell, but I feel obligated to defend it out of loyalty to the source material. If it wasn't for that power, Sorin wouldn't be a powerful and popular Planeswalker.

If you let this pass, I'll give you my word that I won't frustrate you or any other player with it. As I said, I'm not trying to powergame; I'm only trying to stay true to the source material.

Yeah, I'm not even familiar with the source material, but just listening in on this debate the nature of this whole thing sounds sort of similar to Vash's "Angel Arm" ability. I was a little hesitant to include it since I was worried it would make Vash look too powerful, but kept it in since it is an ability he has, plus he would pretty much never use it.

Pardon me for criticizing, GM, but there is a difference between godmodding and just having a really powerful character - the difference being that a really powerful character won't necessarily use those powers for godmodding.

Um, if I can give my own opinion, as someone who frequently GMs RPs I have a policy of never accepting mind control in any form whatsoever.

It's not issue of being overpowered, it's more, um... basically it opens the door for godmodding very wide even if the first person accepted doesn't plan on using it. Also I find it extremely creepy but that's just me.
