As things always began; it was a calm and sunny afternoon in the City of Nele. The locals were busy in the preparation for the incoming festivities and visitors that would accompany the Festival of Cotopa later in day. Already the streets were lined with decorations and the shops and houses hung charms that dangled over the doorway or on windows. In the grand plaza of Kae Pillon, named in honor after the warrior of legend a platform and effigy of Cotopa were being raised and decorated as it overlooked the river that cut through town and it too had special significance.

Amidst the preparations of the plaza Preistess Kael Dynar of The Temple of Celara instructed her assistants in the opening ceremony involving the mass blessing and the fire pole ceremony. "No, no from the start again!" she said to them as her eyes drifted to the mass of people. Although she did not know why it became so popular. She did know that it managed to attract a variety of foreigners to the city when this festival was to happen.

Foreign visitors such as a troupe of traveling magicians and other entertainers using the festival to gain audience and coin. Or Businessmen taking an excursion for the beauty of the festival here while they negotiate on deals. Or the well off who too decided to take a action to enjoy the festivities. Of course they all had one thing in common. Whether for business or pleasure they all their own business to attend to. Be it the gang of pickpockets ready to cut purses and steal when all eyes are on the ceremony. Or a man in odd garb wandering from vendor to vendor of curiosities asking if he'd seen a man only to sigh in exasperation as the answer was no.

Tanya let out a loud gasp as her noble steed wandered through the streets of Nele, "Oh my gosh! M23! M23 stop for a second!"
"UNDERSTOOD.", the hulking metal deathmachine paused for exactly one second before continuing to wander.
"No, wait, no, stop until I tell you to stop stopping!"
"UNDERSTOOD."
"Wow!", Tanya said as she clambered off of her pet killbot, "A real train! I read about them, but I never thought I'd see one up close. Do you... do you think we could ride one?"
"DIAGNOSTIC SCAN SHOWS M23 IS CAPABLE OF DOING THIS."
Tanya once climbed up onto M23's back.
"Onwards, to the station!"
There was a pause.
"M23? Status report?"
"M23 WAS TOLD TO STOP."
"Well, I dunno, unstop."
"UNDERSTOOD."

"Alright." Thyr clapped his hands together. "Time to relax, see the sights, maybe grab an ale..." Justice was all well and good, but there was a time for justice and a time to chill out and go with the flow. Plus, the saying was 'no rest for the wicked', anyway. The righteous were totally entitled to it. Also currently the righteous were pretty hungry. Thyr hadn't really had time to eat since he'd had to stop and deal with some bandits on the way in. But now, it was time to sample some of the no doubt delicious food that was present at this festival. And thus the paladin drifts through the event, stopping at stalls to purchase food items as he goes. Once Thyr's satisfied that he's built up a suitable set of dinner, he finds a likely spot to sit down and get to eating it.

Oshiro Hiraku (or to foreigners who start with the given name Hiraku Oshiro) was dressed in his usual business outfit, which was clean pressed. He adjusted a pair of glasses as he stood inside the train which had recently stopped at the City of Nele. Hiraku glanced at his briefcase, and tapped his foot as the train doors opened. He walked out of the train station as he peered around, but he immediately headed out of the station with a quick pace.

I have no time to dawdle, I must complete the business deal. Hiraku thought to himself as he headed out into the city proper, which was heavily decorated for the festival. Hiraku walked past some stands but he paused for a moment peering at a small plush monster. Hiraku began rubbing his temple with his free hand, My idiot son is going to bring a Kaiju to destroy the place while I'm gone isn't he? Hiraku peered around the area, trying to judge where he was in regards to where his business deal was going to take place.

A festival! Such a wonderful time for any person. Everyone can enjoy a festival, with it's mass of people, looking to enjoy a bit of entertainment, multiple vendors, planning to show their best wares to customers, the games that promise fun, music that is enjoyable to the point where the musicians themselves start dancing to it. Yes, a featival is a wonderful time. Especially for Freya Yates. She would have a chance to see if the city of Nele had anything interesting to look at. Preferably items and objects of mysterious or strange design. She would still have to be careful, for she knew all too well that festivals are also events where thieves and swindlers come out to play. She would have to be careful in her inspections of items, and hold tight to the most important possession she had on her.

Even as the city prepared for the Festival of Cotopa, Freya recieved looks from other people. Some were confused, some were scared, some were uncomfortable, and a handful were even angry, but what would you expect when a person wanders about, wearing a monstrous helmet and odd clothes? Freya ignored them. She grew too accustomed to those looks not to. She did, however, wonder if people would even let her wander around during this festival? She would have to wait to find out. As Freya walked about her way, the clanking and metallic crunching sound of the armor in the large, blue cloth of a sack that she carried over her shoulder could be heard.

Panting. Heavy panting. The elf wrestler, Wrasslin Famire found himself covered knee deep in blood and dirt. Before him, a pack of wild boars. One readied its hooves, kicking off the ground sending dirt back before it charged toward Wrasslin. The burly elf took a crouching position, ready to grab the boar. Bam! A slap echoed through the forest clearing as Wrasslin grappled the boar by the face. He gripped hard, then swung the boar, throwing him back at the others. Wrasslin took position again, ready for anything. The boars left him alone.

The elf sighed and looked off in the distance. The City of Nele was not far off, not that he knew exactly where it was. His master had told him to travel there and seek a group of fool hardy adventurers to travel with. Wrasslin could not object. Anything to keep him away from his home.

About a day or so later, perhaps more and maybe less- Wrasslin's sense of time had been thrown off, Wrasslin arrived at the city. He looked around, taking in the sights and sounds. There was some kind of festival going on. He looked bewildered, curious as to what was happening or what exactly the city folk were celebrating. He crossed his arms and nodded.

Jack Lockwood loved festivals like the one currently happening in the City of Nele. He really did and not just because, as something of a professional thief, a large mass of people loaded down with money roaming the streets, distracted by the bright lights and colorful performances and ceremonies, were easy prey and their abandoned and unguarded homes even moreso. Jack hadn't had much cause to celebrate throughout his life and so he naturally took advantage of any chance to do so, the thievery was just a very nice bonus added to it all. With the contents of a few foreign purses already in his posession, it was time for him relax and enjoy the place until the ceremonies started up.

As a newcomer to the city, one of the many foreign visitors who arrived for the festivities or simply an everyday passerby, Jack didn't stand out much and so he felt it was safe to approach who he believed was a currently unoccupied local to sate his curiosity. "Excuse me, sir? What's the festival about? I was just passing by when I heard there's a big celebration coming and got curious". It was all true, he hadn't known about the festivities till he'd arrived in town and had no idea what they were about besides a quick and easy buck for him.

Tanya scrambled off of M23 as the pair approached the station, jumping up and down in excitement as they approached the ticket booth.
"We're going to ride a train! A real train!"
The clerk looked down at Tanya, "Aren't you a little young to be by yourself, miss? I can't exactly let you on the train on your own, you know."
"Oh, well, uh, my dad is right here!"
With that, M-23 stepped into view, clad in a tiny hat, fake beard, and coat draped messily over its massive metallic shoulders. To say the disguise was poor was a gross understatement.
"M23 IS THE GIRL'S PARENT AND/OR LEGAL GUARDIAN."
There was a long, awkward pause.
"IT IS A SKIN CONDITION."
Another pause.
"M23 WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE TICKETS"
"Thank god- Er, certainly. Between you and the little lady that comes to fifty Spon."
M-23's head swiveled to face Tanya.
"M23 LACKS SUFFICIENT FUNDS."
"Let's go ask someone for money, like that guy! That guy looks like he might have money!"
"UNDERSTOOD."
With that, the pair approached the nearest person who looked like they had Sponduli to spare.
"GIVE US MONEY."
"Please."
"PLEASE."

Hiraku glanced at the girl and the Robot that clearly was a robot. "Oh no. I am not giving either of you money. You'll probably use it to host a Card Tournament and kill people playing it, or you'd fund some highly unethical operation with it. Or worse of all you'll buy candy and not brush your teeth'" He furrowed his brow, as he stared at the girl. "Why are you not in school right now, or Cram School? Do you want to bring your family great shame!? You need to study, not ask for money. Do you want to end up as criminal deadbeats!?" Hiraku began rubbing his temple with his free hand. The feeling that my daughter has brought the Witches from the Eternal Kingdom of Darkness is growing stronger now. As long as my son also doesn't attract that Evil Sentai team... Oh he's going to! Damn son... He walked over to a nearby bench, as he quickly opened his briefcase and pulled out two rice cakes. With an even quicker precision he shut his briefcase and span the locks shut with an incredible speed. He glanced over the rice cake.

"School?", Tanya folded her arms and huffed. "I'll have you know that I have an honorary doctorate in aeronautical engineering!"
"INDEED. MASTER IS EQUAL TO DR. VANTYR IN THE FIELD OF-"
Tanya scowled and stomped her foot, "Vantyr is a hack!"
"BUT MASTER, WHAT ABOUT THE-"
Tanya pounded her fists against M23, blushing furiously
"-Shut up, shut up, shut up!"
"YES MASTER."
The man sat down on a bench and began eating a ricecake.
"Anyways, maybe I can just fix stuff for money."
"WHAT IS THERE TO FIX."
Tanya adjusted her glasses in a sinister fashion.
"When we're through with this place? Plenty."

At last I have arrived! Defendia thought as she reached the city of Nele. She was hoping to arrive early to set up a stand for her amazing enchanting services, but the carriage she was riding in suffered an unfortunate accident. It had seemed that after she put a durability enchantment on the carriage as a form of payment, it quickly broke down to a pile of dust. I guess not even the great magic of Defendia could save such a horrible carr-

Her thoughts quickly cut off as she smelled the great scent of food. It had been too long since her last meal, so she made a mad dash for the nearest food stall.
"What food do you sell here cook?"
"We sell-"
"I'll take as much as this gives me." She said as she threw a bag of money at him. She took her pile of food to a bench and started to chow down.

M23 gave Tanya a boost as she looked through the dumpster for any serviceable parts she could use.
"Looks like this hasn't got any scrap either..."
"M23 WONDERS IF THERE IS A BETTER WAY TO GAIN INCOME"
"Let's hear it, big guy."
"M23 SUGGESTS WRESTLING."
"You always want to-"
Tanya's stopped for a second.
"Actually, that could work!"
__________________________
"Step right up, one and all, to test your wrestling prowess! Are there any others who DARE face the mighty EL METALICO in single combat?"
M23, its body covered in crude industrial lubricant "tattoos", dropped the most recent challenger- now unconscious- onto the ground.
"ROAR."
"Indeed! Now, who will be next to face this vicious beast? Only ten Sponduli to enter, but win and you'll get ten times your fee! That's right, defeat this robot and you'll walk away with an entire one hundred Sponduli! Fights are to submission."

Wrasslin made his way through the crowd, looking for a sign- a sign for his next conquest. So far, he had been asking around for every single adventurer he could find. So far, everyone he's met had been afraid of him due to his sheer muscle. Then suddenly, Wrasslin noticed a crowd. He pushed his way through until he noticed a girl standing beside a large man in a suit of armor, crying out monotonously. Wrasslin listened in as she bragged about the large, armor clad man and nodded.

Suddenly, he pointed out toward her and said. "I accept your offer!" With gusto, he marched towards the girl and reached into his thong- the only article of clothing he wore. Wrasslin dropped his money in front of Tanya and faced M23. "Let's go"

Initiative
Tanya snatched up the Sponduli, adding it to her coinpurse.
"Alrighty, mister! Remember, fights are until knock-out or tap-out!"
M23 took up its position in the center of the chalk "ring", dropping into a Greco-Roman stance.
"VERY GOOD. WOULD OPPONENT LIKE TO MAKE THE FIRST BLOW."

"He" he scoffed. Wrasslin vaulted into the ring twirling his legs in the air like a helicopter, before throwing himself onto the canvas with a flashy pose to show off his stunning physique. Wrasslin crouched down and assumed a low stance with his legs bent almost to a squat with his elbows resting on his knees. His head was forward, facing his opponent. "I recognize your stance. Master liked to use it, but I never grew to fond of it." he said, circling around his opponent.

In a quick motion, Wrasslin threw out his left hand, tapping M23 over the shoulder, before withdrawing his hand back to his body and jumping back. It was a feint.

In response to this stunning display of tactical thinking, M23 did nothing.

"OPPONENT WOULD LIKE THE FIRST BLOW!" Wrasslin mocked, somersaulting to M23's back and shooting out, right knee in front. He grabbed M23's feet by the ankles and attempted to knock him over.

M23 found its legs suddenly swept out from under it, it's sensors tingling with information. Like a bolt from a clear sky, realization struck the machine.
"YES. M23 HAS NO DOUBT. OPPONENT'S GRIP IS THAT OF A TRUE WRESTLER."
M23 rotated its torso to face the elf, its normally-soulless mechanical eyes bright with a hidden passion. It had not felt such a powerful grip upon its chassis in quite some time.
"WE FIGHT AS MEN.", M23 said as it attempted to grab Wrasslin' and slam him into the ground.

Freya browsed the stalls, looking for something to catch her eye. Sadly, no such luck was available to her. Most items being sold were either mass produced, or undeniably fake. How disappointing. The happy, uplifting music and the cheerful voices of people arround her would have lessened her disappointment, if it wasn't for the fact that many people were avoiding her. It was understandable. People probably didn't want to celebrate a festival next to a person wearing armor that made them look like monster. Still, it would have helped.

Freya sat down near a tree, foldong her legs into a crosslegged position, and placing her sack of armor down next to her. She might as well observe the joy everyone else was having, maybe something interesting will come her way. Strangely enough, something did catch her eye. Shrinking as it descends in a spiral, two golden objects caught her eye. Before she knew it, Freya was standing in front of the owner of the object. It was a girl who was sitting on a bench, eating lunch. She had another object that was just like the one that caught her eye, was she wearing them as accessories? Freya was so intrigued by what these things were, that she didn't even realize that the two objects were really the girl's hair.
