Maybe, its a good post though, Doc might track Meelo, attempt to wipe his memory. he doesn't want anything incriminating on him and frankly given Meelo charged out and gave him a death glare, his paranoia levels should be up to eleven.

If you want I can change it, frankly I didn't know it was the language of the gods, goodness knows it seems to vary between Greek and Hindu a lot, it was more for thematic effects than anything else.

Also I thought Arcon dealt more with existing doorways, this is more an advanced transportation spell pointing to a general location in the area of Woodswatch.

Also if it is the language of the gods then its a possibility that it had been recorded eons ago when they still walked the Earth.

But yeah open to changes, now that you highlight it I feel like I am stepping on toes.

I kind of figured that Scalpel found some ancient text, and learned the rough incantation without realizing what it really was. That he stumbled upon the Alicornial Tongue without knowing it.

Personally, I would prefer it if you changed it. Some Eldritch (heh) language is fine, but the Language of the Gods is what created everything when Faust first made the world. Seeing as it likely has power of its own I don't think the alicorns would have recorded any of it, let alone let anything any mortal recorded remain untouched; they'd burn it and force a geas onto the pony before anyone else could hear/read it.

But yeah, Hindi is what we (Dawn and I, at least) use as the Divine Language. I don't know Dawn's stance on this, but I would prefer if you made it something that wasn't Hindi.

That'd actually be pretty likely really... although originally what I wrote there was originally in Norse Runes, unfortunately the site doesn't allow for that particular ancient text.

Anyhoo, switched it to Thai, mostly because that language is absolutely beautiful.

Also... if this is a violation of Arcon's realm... what about all the other unicorns who use teleportation spells?

Same with me really, I liked the idea of Phossy but I really don't enjoy reaching the power of godhood without some considerable struggle and character development, felt kinda uncomfortable for me. Playing Scalpel, a mortal attempting to attain godhood is much more interesting and fun to play around with, especially the great times I have creating divergent plans for his future.

I like Torrential too, he seems to flip flop on the emotional side, a bit like how the weather can go from bright and sunny to thunder and lightning with incredible speed, he seems like a complex and fascinating character.

Thinking about having Sweeper arrive at the remains of Old Hoof in my next entry. Any thoughts?

See, I'm actually OK with it being Hindi. Its the language of the Gods, yeah. So for those of us who play Skyrim, so were the Tha'um. Being fluent in the Dragon Language was lost or entirely unknown. But one or two words... quite possible they would have survived. And have power, at that... of course, I assume part of the essence of the unicorn horn was used up doing that little teleporting trick. Anywho, I vote Yes to the him using the Hindi, but maybe keep it shorter. And VERY limited.

Arcon is God of Locks, Doorways, Barriers... as well as everything they encompass (Keys, Restraints, etc.). This is to say both physical and metaphysical in concept. Yeah, he's the god of that doorframe over there. But he's also the Gatekeeper between the Astral and Equestria. He prefers using physical things for his work though... far easier to work with.

Mmm, technically all teleportation is within his domain. Doors and all that jazz. Regular unicorn teleportation, very small scale and doesnt even show up as a blip on his radar. However, Unicorns don't really use it to travel very far. Several hundred feet, maybe a few thousand. But generally speaking, small scale. The little trick you just pulled, with the runes and the horn, AND the language of the gods? Travelling quite a few miles? That's totally gonna ping him. He won't know what or who it was... but he's gonna know where it went and where it came from. Might catch his interest...

Oh! Okay then... I guess I can edit something back in, and yes you were correct on the essence part of the spell, the horn will have basically been reduced to dust when he reaches the other end due to using up all of its power in the jump.
