"Oh no. Don't tell me..." James didn't want to look over his shoulder as he heard that distinctly hobbitty voice. Nonetheless, he had to, reflexively placing a hand to cover his flagon of ale.

"Mother of..." he said, staring at Talisen. He'd really gone and done it.
"Gabriel!" he shouted from across the bar. "Did you bring that thing in here? Seriously? That's a wild damned animal."

"Hi, Gabriel!," Lily called out upon entering the tavern. "Look who I fo-," she started, only to be summarily cut off by Rasa already saying what she was about to say. "Hey, that was my line!," the girl pouted for a moment, only to quickly jump right back to her chippy mood. "Anyway, he survived too! That means that everyone else could've survived too! So, did you see anyone that looks adventurer-y?" The Sprite was completely oblivious to the fact that, right now, Gabriel had slightly more important issues involving the monster he tamed.

Taliesin growled at James. "Hm?" The waitress blushed. "The name's Crystal. Kay?" She then turned to James, then to Lily, then back to Gabriel, spinning around with the tray still in hand. In her confusion, the waitress fell over, dropping the tray along with the glasses inside it, the glass breaking and falling all over the floor. Alcohol was spilled making a small puddle trickling over to Gabriel's feet, stopping just before it could touch Taliesin. "Oh... lemme get that..." she generated a rag and got down on her knees to pick up the glass. "I'll get you yer drink right away sir."

As soon as Gabriel heard the glass break, "Ma'am allow me to help!" Gabriel quickly began picking up some glass fragments as he turned to Taliesin who was continuing to growl at James. Gabriel turned to him, "I'm sure James didn't mean it!" Taliesin glared at James, before glancing back at Gabriel. The Halfling looked for a spot to safely discard the glass. Gabriel turned to Crystal, "Are you alright, you didn't get nicked by the glass did you?" Taliesin stopped growling as he peered curiously at the puddle near Gabriel, he moved a bit closer and began licking at it.

"Oh, let me help you with that, miss," the Sprite called out. With that comment, she stretched out her arm and raised the liquid straight off the floor. The glass shards, however, were wholly unaffected sans perhaps a tiny fragment or two that got lifted along with the spill. "Uhm, can anyone get a bucket for me to put this in?," she said, gesturing with her head towards the floating shapeless blob of, well, whatever kind of drinks it was.

"Mhmm" Crystal nodded. "Thanks darlin'" she told them, heading into the kitchen. Faint yelling could be heard from behind the counter. Crystal returned with a glass of ale. She bent down, handing the glass carefully to Gabriel. "Here ya go" she said nervously. "Sorry for causin' all that trouble y'all." she looked to the adventurers with a somber expression, then headed back to the kitchen.

Billy tugged on the man's sleeve once more.
"Sir? You alright?"
+Forget him, Billy. He's not worth our time.+
"Sorry for bothering you, sir."
"Gee, sword, I sure am surprised with you-", Billy said as he walked over to the others, "-you didn't even try to stab that guy! Guess I'm rubbing off on you, huh?"
+What? No, no. He wasn't a demon. He was a HALF-demon. Weren't you listening?+
"But that doesn't even-", Billy sighed as he reached the others, "-oh, never mind. What's happened?"

James took a breath before carrying his half-emptied flagon to sit with Gabriel and the others.

"So... What do you lot make of the place so far?" he asked around. "And. Gabriel."
James nodded back towards the kitchen.

Gabriel nodded towards James. "Sir Hawthorne please watch over my mug of ale. As you know, I have far more important matters to do than drink." Gabriel went to the kitchen as discretely as possible, as he looked for Crystal. "It may not be my place to ask, but I cannot stand a fair lady suffering when there is someway I can help. What is the matter? Perhaps I could help with a song or two... Or in some other way, and I assure you I shall help you with whatever the problem is."

The kitchen was quite the mess. A single large, burly chef handled most of the work. He pulled various ingredients from the shelves; the meat of unknown animals, along with cheese, and some kind of vegetable that was too strange looking to name or even describe. The man himself was old, his hair white and tied to the back in a ponytail, the rest of it kept under a hair net.

Crystal meekly took a glass to a barrel and filled it. Turning to Gabriel, she said "Hey darlin'. I'm sorry, but you ain't allowed in here. Please, I gotta work. Maybe some other time, m'kay?"

Gabriel quickly raised up the palms of his hands, "My apologizes. I'm just concerned is all. How's this I'll wait until you get off then we can talk more freely. And if you need any help just tap twice on the table and I'll be right over. Just tell me what you need and I'll help to the best of my abilities. Again I apologize for disturbing you at this time." And with that Gabriel quickly exited the kitchen room as he returned to the table and took his seat.

He grabbed the glass of ale and took a small swig, he turned to the group, "So how is everyone?" Gabriel took another small swig.

Meanwhile outside Taliesin was glancing around while he was tied up with the remainder of rope Gabriel had on him. Taliesin began sniffing the air around him as he searched for potential prey.

"I'm alright." James responded. He took a sip before adding, "You know you just made it worse for her going in like that, right?"

Gabriel took a swig from his glass, "It's not an exact art. Sometimes the more direct approach works... Other times." Gabriel took another, much larger swig. "It does not. Hopefully if I did err I can rectify my mistake." Gabriel glanced around the establishment, looking for anything interesting. "Yes I did show at an inappropriate time; But that is part of the story, the struggle that one must face in trying to bring good." Gabriel took another swig of ale. "And no I'm not using narrative to excuse my actions, I just felt like bringing it up." Gabriel clapped his hands together and beamed a smile, "Who wants a story?"

"Thanks!," the Sprite said, carefully lowering the mixture of fluids into the bucket. She then moved said bucket in a nearby corner so that people wouldn't kick it over by accident and create another mess. After this was taken care of, she joined the rest of the group at the table they'd picked out. Soon afterwards, Gabriel came back from whatever task he felt was necessary in the kitchen. A short conversation later, the halfling bard asked if anyone wanted to hear a story. "Ooh, I do!," Lily chimed. "But only if it's a good story, though. ...Also, I'm fine too, how about you?"

"Let us say I'll feel much better after certain events. However that does not matter at this moment as much as entertaining my fellow band of merry adventurers!" Gabriel proclaimed as he began rubbing his left thumb, middle and index fingers together. He used his right hand to twirl his sideburn. "I must muse of a most monumentous moment of much merriment and masterful musing... Now then I must ask if you wish for musical accompaniment and the type of tale to tell."

"....You know that stunt's only gonna make it worse?" James butted in. "Sounded bad earlier, but if we get involved and don't finish it, it'll only get worse."

He took a sip. "Should I handle this?"

"You are bigger than me. I am just a small entertainer, with matters such as this going on.... It'd be better suited to you. After all, a shining knight in armor, that's always the hero type." Gabriel frowned as he slammed his head on the table, moaning. ".... How in the name of the Laughing One did I screw the pooch on this so much? And, I just missed it! Gah..." he continued with his head on the table grumbling, before a thought occurred to him. Gabriel picked his head up, "So does anyone want to hear tha-" Gabriel banged his head on the table again, "DAMN IT! WHY COULDN'T I DO ANYTHING RIGHT BACK THERE!? ... James, just handle it... please, at least let someone competent in heroism solve the day. Or any real adventurers..."

Kenneth had quietly gone along with the party, his features hardening when he heard the yelling. It wasn't just an argument or a one time thing, then, this made more times than he cared to count. If he hadn't acted before, it was simply because no one had asked him to, but he couldn't hold back anymore. "I don't know what you gentlemen plan on doing but I am going to help that girl and put the fear of Strahl on that man. He's gonna behave or he's gonna hide from the sun for the rest of his life". He'd probably have to leave in a hurry after doing that, but he had already paid for his room in full, his belongings were already packed and he figured he could just join Lily's new party instead of traveling solo, so it wasn't so bad anyway.

Tiefling, what tiefling? Kenneth clearly survived on his own through sheer luck and divine providence.

Gabriel kept his head on the table, "... At least you could properly deal with the situatio- Wait a moment." Gabriel smirked evilly, "Hold on just a moment." Gabriel ran outside as he pet Taliesin, "Taliesin, we are going to deal with someone very naughty. You will get to eat well." Gabriel smirked, as Taliesin eagerly looked on. Gabriel pat Taliesin as he unleashed him from the building as he strolled back in the tavern. Gabriel turned to the party, "Taliesin and I will handle this situation." Gabriel glanced at the party, "I created this situation, I will solve it."
