Weapons, Wine, Women and more are up for grabs, for the right price of course. Even the location of the so called "Crossroads" is disputed as trade is most often done via proxy or even through spies within the buyer's own nation but the safe money is on somewhere secluded, defensible or hidden.

Zindale the Refurbisher, Dark Elf Hero of the Realm



Suave businessman and literal slave driver, Zindale the 'Refurbisher', as he prefers to be called, is the best of the best when it comes to applied logistics. Need to build some last minute defenses? Is that impending army making you question your numbers? Are you just sick and tired of dumping your own chamber pot? Zindale's Rent to Own Snotlings are on the job.

Rotgut the Pin Cushion, Goblin Hero of the Realm



Climbing the ranks of the Crossroads infantry was never on Rotgut's agenda. Given the name 'Pin Cushion' by his older brother Sawshank, the plan was merely to outlive his coward of a brother. Now revered by the numerous Goblin infantry the Crossroads employs, Rotgut acts as an inspiration and promotes healthy rivalry between the less numerous ranged goblins.

Sawshank the Dumb, Goblin Hero of the Realm



Always one step ahead of his younger brother Rotgut, chiding nicknames were no exception. Wearing his brother's less than brilliant nickname in mockery, Sawshank the Dumb had proved to be anything but. Though less numerous than their infantry cousins, the Ranged Goblins of the Crossroads have proven themselves invaluable time and time again beneath Sawshank's direction. Preferring simple 'throwaway bows', Sawshank sets an example of constant mobility and willingness to retreat. While not as 'brave' as his brother, Sawshank is certainly the smarter of the two.

Deventus Occto, Murioanthrope Hero of the Realm



Cunning, ruthless, short. Spymaster Occto love two things above all else, knowledge and gold. With enough of either one becomes a threat and with enough of both one becomes a god. In charge of many of the networks connecting the Crossroads, both internally and the hidden trade routes between their spies and theives, Deventus is understandibly paranoid. Most of his time is spent in the capital with the rest of the Voice.

The Voice

The Word of the Crossroads. Composed of the agreed will of Heroes, Generals and Nobles, those not within the upper echelons of the organization know only this voice's unified decrees, not the bickering and grandstanding it took to reach them. Any outgoing messages or diplomatic inquiries are sent via the Network. As a matter of both safety and business, no one outside the Voice is privy to who exactly pulls the nation's strings.

Cornering the Market - The Crossroads understands opportunity cost. Upon capturing a spy, rather than killing them outright, Agents and Inquisitors will try to extract any valuable information they can. Spies with either "Death Before Dishonour" or "Loyal" traits resist this.

You Dirty Rat! - The Crossroads value two things above all else: Gold and Secrecy. It serves to reason then in pursuit of the former they'd excel at the latter. When bribing locals and immigrants just isn't enough, the Crossroads' own espionage agents are sent in. Small in stature and nimble by trade, Murioanthrope Spies to Kender Thieves, Trained Assassins to Guardians of Knowledge, few within the Crossroad's ranks 'hide in plain sight'.
