Short Biography: Milton went into the armed services just after graduation. Coming from a dysfunctional family, his father was an abusive drunkard, and his mother was a hypochondriac that left him with some near prescription grade issues. The entry into the military was an effort to get away from home life. As a result of his background he was used to rough-and-tumble situations, taking a beating, and thinking on his feet. It also meant that he didn't miss home much. He worked his way into the SAS after plenty of letter writing and petitioning. Once in, he did well, but some of the selection course that year was brutal enough it nearly killed half the class during the survival phases. Milton, or Mills did well enough though and came out pretty hardened on the other side.

Inside the military his training was focused on intelligence gathering, interrogation, and interpretation or linguistics. Using military metrics and language key activation systems, he picked up fluency in half a dozen languages and competency in close to a dozen more. With his mind focused on these abilities, he can pick up new languages rapidly and be competent with them, quickly able to sound like a native speaker. MI-6 picked him up soon after, refocusing his skills he'd picked up in the military, and adding to them, playing on his charisma and natural desire to match wits against others, along with his patriotism. By age twenty-eight he had heard rumors of a Project Stargate, and when it was discovered that he was researching into it, his superiors had a choice... either make him look like a looney, or they could read him in, and bring him into the program. Being such a useful asset, they decided for the latter.

It was for these reasons that he was chosen to begin to work with the SGC as part of an international SG team. When the HMS Tempest began to need crew, he was passed over more than once, as the mission for the ship was to be exploration, not intelligence or combat assignment. It seemed that the military minded naval folks aboard, along with those running security felt that a person that could fall between full military and civilian, could pick up languages fast, adapt to new situations and environments and more would be useful, and could be able to deescalate situations rapidly and glean information faster, process intelligence more quickly than relying on analysts back aboard ship or back at base, or or by relying on allies like the Tok'ra or the Asgard. With having an asset like that on the ground, they could follow up on things much faster, and get to know the locals better, put a friendly face to military forces and so on.

Appearance: Short by military standards Julia Delaurieux is 5'3". Her features are all typical of a human coming from a European descent she has a white complexion and straight shoulder length brown hair that she wears down. She comes across a bit like a dainty girly girl with a pear shaped a
body however under the facade is a woman who has trained her body. She walks with a dancers step for in her youth she studied ballet.

A woman of comfort Julia tends towards the more practical clothes then clothes with other purposes. During physical training she wears yoga shirts and loose fitting dobok. Her every day attire is composed of a longer shirt that is fitted at her shoulders but that slowly loosens towards her haunches. The shirt covers her to tattoos on her left arm "도로 살" and "vivere ab viam" both of them translating into live the way. With the shirt she wears a simple pair of bootleg cut jeans. On fancy occasions she tends towards dresses and skirts rarely pants however Julia would never wear heels because she hates the limited mobility as she has never learned how to walk in them. For that matter when it comes to shoes she is more often without them then not because she has grown accustomed to it since her time as a dancer and as a martial artist.

Reason chosen for Tempest: Having been unknowingly been groomed in various Stargate related fields, Julia has gained experienced in computer networking and infrastructure, she was introduced to the Stargate program after having completed the game designed by Dr. Rush.

Personality: Julia had a sheltered childhood thus she has grown up a little pampered and is a daddy's girl, except her dad is not around. She is quite naive. Unfortunately Julia has a mistrust for unexpected change

Short Biography: You can not start someone's life without introducing their parents a bit. Julia's father was a tradesman, born and raised in Quebec Canada however he moved to the western provinces in search of work there he met Julia's mother who had just immigrated from Great Britain also in search of work. Soon love insued and Julia was born.

She was a single child growing up and she was spoiled quite a bit by her father when he was around for he worked out of town. Her mother made sure she was well behaved and was a proper little girl. Thus she studied dance and how to play the violin. At school Julia was an average child all that could be said was that she stayed out of trouble and hanged out with the other girls. At home she learned proper social protocol because her mother was part of one of those Royalty clubs they have thus her manners were a bit archaic.

When she was expected to join point at her ballet school Julia decided to stop dancing because she did not want to ruin her feet. Her mother fearing for her health made her join Taekwon do so she would stay in shape. Julia disliked it at first but soon she learned to enjoy it and she advanced through the belts.

Too most peoples utter surprise Julia went to study engineering when she entered university people expected her to go into sciences or maybe arts. Julia however went that route that she felt pretty much guaranty herself work when she graduated. Studying was not easy yet Julia persisted and got respectable grades, she pushed the boundary of her knowledge and asked many questions to grow it. That ended up distinguishing her from most of the other students. At the end of her first year she received quite a respectable mark not the highest but definitely high and decided to specialize in computer engineering.

During summer she was approached by the Canadian government with an interesting proposal. The first was she needed to sign a non-disclosure agreement before she could even hear it. She was offered a pretty large scholarship, 80 000$ in fact however it had a few strings attached. She would be expected to take extra courses during the spring and summer sessions all covered by the government of course and she would be called upon to serve in the government for five years at a latter date. The courses comprised of abstract math and theoretical physics however she was surprised to learn she was also required to take latin courses in the evening.

Has she took her bachelors she continued her taekwon do and received her third degree black belt and it was at that point that she got her first tatoo 도로 살. The government not been in contact with her since she had received the scholarship and so she wondered when would she be called by them to complete her agreement. She soon graduated and she got her second tattoo vivere ab viam. Even at that point the government never called her. So she organised herself to wait. She started a masters in computer networking and worked on a thesis on the subject of flat addressing in a mesh network in it she addressed various ways to create addresses while also assuring the security and stability of the network.

As she neared the second year of her masters she happened across a game with an interesting mathematical challenge in it. It took her many weeks but she was able to complete it using the knowledge she had gathered in her degree. A few days latter she was surprised to find a government official waiting in her chair in her office. She was told to back her bags she was being flown to Ottawa that night.

In Ottawa she was told a story filled with marvels about traveling across the universe by simply walking through a wormhole and of vicious alien creatures. Worried about what she got herself into Julia struggled to let her perspective on life change however like her mother had taught her a deal was a deal and so she kept her word. The government started training her on new alien technologies and assigned her afterward a tour on the vessel H.M.S Tempest as the Canadian representative as well so that she could get some hands on experience in the field.

The Tempests launch was in 2014. 5 Years after the Icarus incident, also the Government wouldn't give you all this training and then just forget you. You have a couple of blanks to fill, maybe they have you work on something else until then. Also if you finished it a couple of weeks after Eli you'd probably spend most of your time trying to perfect the 9 chevron dialing. After the in star simulation you could be trying to perfect the use of the idea of a earth ship flying into a star or gaining enough power to dial the 9th Chevron, an idea that is popular as then if something goes wrong you don't have to evacuate an entire planet.

I've had a scan and going to have a proper read after more tea but here's my sheet thus far.



Name: Arianna Roberts.
Title: Doctor/ Miss.
Role: Psychiatrist/ 'behavioral analyst'.
Unit: Ground Unit.
Age: 30.
Gender: Female.
Reason chosen for Tempest: Her ability to read people and their situations is second to none, she served as a psychiatrist to many soldiers who suffered from PTSD after the war and founded new ways in spotting potential problems before they arise. Given a Nobel prize for her work and study in human behavioral 'science' and an award for her work in treating and 'curing' soldiers she was one of a very short list for this mission.
Personality: A clever and quick witted woman who has an incredibly hard time of 'turning off', when one makes a life time habit of reading the smallest changes in a person's body language and deciphering their words it becomes a habit not to far removed from breathing. As such she finds it hard to get close to anyone, spotting even the smallest flaws in people and thus finding it difficult to get comfortable with most. She may come across as a 'snob', thinking manners are important and social etiquette shouldn't be thrown out the window along with a sent of eccentric likes and dislikes in personality of other people. She abhors violence and war, having spent her professional life fixing the damage such things have done to people along with a deeper, personal reason. When she does relax she's quite god company, by habit a good listener and loyal to those she does speak with whether it be patient doctor confidentiality or otherwise.
Short Biography: Her young life was a whirlwind of violence, problems and loss, she doesn't' speak about it much but it shaped who she was for her entire life. Before she had hit double digits she had her sights set on helping people and did all she could to accomplish that goal. As a professional she saw more violence than her heart could take and grew numb to keep herself from preaching ethical grounds. Approached by the military with an offer to serve Queen and country and help people more than she could in her little office she took a solid week to think it over, there was a lot she wasn't told at their brief meeting or contained in the small, heavily edited dossier she was given. Curiosity peaked she accepted and was thrust head first into what felt like a different world.

To test her skills they had her interview a Tok'ra, her first interaction with an alien species, it had taken her less than five minutes to come to the conclusion the person wasn't human but a little longer for her mind to accept what that meant. She also spotted signs of stress on both the host body and the 'creature' inside before the individual had noticed it, saving two lives from a considerable amount of future pain. Accepted as the 'kind of woman they needed' she was educated in the vast history that had been hidden from most civilian eyes and given access to a vast number of personnel files to 'weed out' those who'd be 'unsuitable' for such a high priority mission.
