Also, since I've seen some confusion in PMs and stuff, I feel like I should say this:

Wars are fought primarily with conscripts. When planning your campaigns, do so with conscripts, not regulars. Regulars are used to prevent your nation from being overwhelmed in a surprise attack, occupying territory after a war, etc. Most of the actual fighting is done with conscripts.

^This is true.

Regulars are of higher quality however, correct?

@Boerd; yes but really not enough to make a difference. Equipment, army level, and of course rolls are far more important.

We don't know how many conscripts we have, though...?

At the moment you have none. During a war, you call them up.

And how many of those reserves that we have would be an appropriate number TO call up?

War has now become a hundred thousand times more complicated.

Wasn't there use to be a stat that told us the max amount of conscripts our nation had?

Yes. It was removed.

Had it removed because it seemed to me to be a pointless number that clutters up the stats. If you think you need it so much:

Argentina - 48,861
Austria - 721,260
Brazil - 274,455
Qing - 11,589,240
Colombia - 89,799
CSA - 472,003
France - 851,844
Greece - 38,956
Italy - 564,423
Japan - 1,031,640
Mexico - 263,930
Netherlands - 486,921
Ottoman Empire - 778,547
Prussia - 803,314
Romania - 98,773
Russia - 1,959,205
Spain - 572,307
Sweden - 162,074
UK - 5,427,226
USA - 1,055,122

These are the maximum numbers you can call up from your own country. It is impossible (and downright stupid) to try and call up this number in one turn, however.

Japan can call up more than I thought it would be able to. Impressive.

EDIT: @Outcast, a conflict kind of erupted outside of Atlanta at 2AM on November 8th, I do believe. It's between Byrd and myself, and we don't know how it ends...

Random thought on Japan, but is the Meiji Restoration still going to happen if nobody takes the helm?

I am heavily considering Japan post CSA, in truth. Especially if Meiji happens or I can make it happen.

How are Expeditionary Corps handled? Are they made of conscripts/volunteers?

Addendum: Are they under control of the recipient of the corps or does the sender have partial control?

It would be a big hassle on the stats, but it'd be nice if colonial empires could know their home country's population and their colonial population separately.
