Rockets have been flying between Israel and Gaza for a while now, prompting a lovely propaganda war as both sides fight to paint the other in a negative light, and as to who fired first it's pretty much impossible to tell at the moment.
Currently the Israel Defence Force has started a ground force offence which has resulted in the death of 24 Palestinians and 200 injured since it began on Thursday night. In terms of the rockets that Israel has launched the government has stated that they've been targeting places where Hamas Militants have been hiding and storing various weaponry, unfortunately a lot of this places are in densely populated places and apparently public buildings such as schools and hospitals. Recently a few Hospitals in the Gaza Strip have had to evacuate their patients and staff to other hospitals during to repeated rocket fire. IN other news international investigators have now been allowed into the crash site of MH17 by Rebels who currently have control of the area in Eastern Ukraine.Latest figures released by Malaysia Airlines show the plane was carrying at least 189 Dutch nationals, 27 Australians, 44 Malaysians (including 15 crew), 12 Indonesians and nine Britons. Last time it was not only a struggle to get everyone through but we lost the area that we previously decided would make a good base for our players. Granted, it was justified since the area was of an actual RP that was actually dying, but in this case it's just a nameless RP setting, sooo...

Yeah. Even ignoring the annoyance/struggle-to-find-a-way-to-make-things-work-again factor, the canonical explanation for Settings fading out of existence was that the connected RP is/was dying. Therefore, while it may have been applicable to the would-be-base, it really wouldn't work here, nor is there any reason for it to happen at all.

Because... we know there was one originally. That's how it wound up here - we had people who were a part of it (although I think, technically, all the players who were in it are gone now).

But when one of them brought up the fact that the real Kalmaysia Academy RP is dying, they had it flicker out of existence in the Guild realm.

Looking back on it, I kind of regret allowing that to happen.

Yeeaaah Raineh's starting to get on my nerves for a variety of reasons.

But I probably shouldn't talk about that too much in a public forum.

I know I for one would probably still be searching for every mention of my name if a search function still existed - so I suppose it's not implausible for people to be hunting down that sort of thing a bit more manually.

Plus it's just rude of me.

The thought had occurred to me as at the mo were all just standing around talking and not doing much. So I left it very vague wondering if everyone was okay with it. Guess Kole was just being paranoid :P

The big black wall has been there for ages hasn't it?

Yeah, the wall was there. But the walls don't expand on their own - only when an RP dies does the void expand more.

And even then, the void doesn't always replace an area. As stated at one point, the natural "circle of life" (as I suppose you could call it) in this world is that RP's die all the time, but it's ok because new RP's replace them. That balance was thrown off when GM meddled and caused RP's to die off en masse during Guildfall, thus resulting in the stretches of void.

But yeah, the wall of void can stay there for a while and it'll be fine.
