Hmmm, I haven't quite figured out where exactly my nation will be. But I'm leaning toward it being near those mountains Rin's dwarves live in.

There's a bunch of free space just above them. My Empire is to the south.

Speaking of which, here is an extremely sloppy map. I know I accidentally didn't include Ryukyu in Ullanar's border's. Sorry about that, Goy. Would have been a ton of work to fix it by the time I realized. If I messed up anyone else's borders just let me know.

So...Is he actually the Dragon-messiah or what? Or did the Dragon-kin simply make up that legend before Melkaia dropped all the Gods onto the world? I mean, either way he's accepted, I'm just curious.

Themescyrans are pretty cool. I like 'em.

Question though, why is Reon the Goddess of the Sun and not simply Fire? Where does the Sun aspect come from? I'm just iffy about titles like Sun God, as before mentioned.

I love them so far, enough to add them to my shitty map, but you need to finish up the God before posting IC. Otherwise accepted.

Accepted. The only gripe I have is....Hardy? As the name of a Goddess? It's just so...normal.

A few issues with Uldir, the way you wrote about him was really really vague. His personality lists two possibilities, and his history was full of what could basically be mortal myths. I mean, what's he actually got going on?
Did I forget anyone? If so, speak up.

Well, she's a goddess of the sun mostly because of her people's belief in a sun goddess and fire really more comes from... well... fire being a logical thing to get from being a sun goddess.

Her abilities don't directly reflect the sun mostly because, um... well, I'm trying very hard to keep her from being broken so I'm starting off with the more "fire" stuff. Her shield is meant to be related to the sun given it's sort of like a magnifying glass, at least.

...Yes and no. Initially, he just fit the pre-existing description for the Dragon King well enough that the Weredragons were willing to overlook or change the details. As time wore on and his abilities changed to fit his experiences and beliefs, he's grown into the role well enough that the more skeptical Clans are willing to accept his claims.

The Were-beasts have a deep mythology that traces back well before any of the Gods actually appeared. It's unique in that most of their objects of worship actually sort of exist, in the form of powerful spirits.

I'd just like to clear a few things with you before I try to write them in. First, I'd like to establish Zarkoum as being largely uncharted and mostly unknown. Most people would know only of it as being hellish and uninhabitable, full of strange monsters and supposedly men that can take the shape of beasts. Well-educated persons wouldn't know much better, as even those that can withstand Zarkoum's ecology fare poorly against its inhabitants.

Second would be the presence of the "Umbra." This is a parallel dimension that reflects the "true world." The Umbra is a projection of the world as spirits see it, untouched and untarnished by civilization. The Umbra is also where spirits reside, carrying out whatever incomprehensible tasks they're compelled to do. Shamans have the ability to "step sideways" in and out of the Umbra for any number of reasons, a task made easier in places where the "Gauntlet" between dimensions is thinner. In particularly thin locations, the Gauntlet practically does not exist, and spirits can come and go as they please.

I'm digging the inspiration from Werewolf: The Apocalypse. I'm just not sure that having powerful spirits pre-existing would work so well for this setting... I mean, give me a way to work it in with the pre-established creation mythos and I'd consider it. But also keep in mind that if we're going to Borrow the Umbra, then other Gods may discover it and utilize it to their own ends. I'm not sure I want that. Also, consider this: if the Umbra existed beside the physical world the entire time, How did Melkaia not notice it? Or, better yet, how have none of the other Gods?

Fair enough. Works for me.

Now that all of the sheets are (mostly) done, there's just a few things to clear up and we'll be good to go. Glad to hear you're eager, I'm actually rather excited for this myself.

Spirits could just be the magical echoes that the world produces with excess mana, or something similar-sounding. They're essentially the "soul" of the world itself.

The Umbra could be something that is gradually forming as Crowned-By-Fire goes about becoming the (as you say) Dragon Messiah. As his beliefs change himself, they also change the world around him.

My idea is that I want the clans to become progressively less martial and more mystical as the game wears on. Introducing Shadowdancers (units that flit in and out of the Umbra with ease) is definitely a goal down the line.

Okay, but if the Umbra is growing as Crowned-By-Fire progresses, what was it before the God's arrived? Were the spirits just a mythical religion for the Dragonfolk? Because that would be fine, I should think, though you might have to list that as one of his Unique abilities.

Perhaps we can omit the idea of the Umbra entirely, and keep spirits on as entities that have always been around.

So, I got my map claim here. I feel like I'm probably the smallest nation there is, since most of that space is just desert. The little blue line is the river, in case you were wondering. I figured I'd just show where it was.

The Haramonian Empire is Lucian's. Though Lucian, it may be a good idea to make the Hider actually say the name of your Empire.

It's convenient that I don't really have to worry much about land claims, being located pretty much entirely in the Underworld.

The map's sloppy, but ultimately it's used more as a mechanism to determine points of reference more than anything else, so that's fine.

Originally I was worried that Glacinus wouldn't have any neighbours to trade with, but with such a wide border that concern is thankfully assuaged.

Did you miss my above critique...?
Also, I'm opening applications for one more person. I showed a friend this RP, and they presented an idea I really liked for a strictly seafaring nation, and I couldn't resist, so expect that. That's the last one though, because the map's getting full now. Gotta' have some room to expand.
