The standard has already been set that Britain does not require so petty a thing as a "Casus Belli" before going to war. The British Empire does not need a reason for war, after all, but a reason for peace. Let us not forget the blockade of the North Atlantic. Victoria may be gone, but the mind behind her insanity (Pasta's mind), is still very much active.

Weren't you the one just calling other players petty?

Yes. Their alliance is a perfectly genuine reason for going to war together, just like it was against the Union.

Well, the French were abiding by the Treaty of Constantinople I imagine in coming to the aid of the Austrians. Which gave them a proper reason to declare war, then the British are allowed to join as well through their existing alliance. Although the British themselves said that they were done with the Treaty, so I don't know.

Yup. I doubt this will cause provocation. They will be more worried about Prussia than any new Government. That said, if things get too rough I know how to handle it quickly.

Why would they be worried about Prussia? They had no reason to be worried until you declared war, rofl.

The British and Dutch have quite the colonial rivalry. Speaking of which, I have a few letters that need to be sent to South Africa.

Meh. It doesn't matter. What will happen will happen. Outcast will determine what happens.

Excuse me while I go make some sacrifices to the god of the dice.

Edit: Not Fake

'To our brother Karl Marx,

We applaud your efforts in moving against the new government of the United Kingdom and ask that you would continue. Maintain your rebellion and you may rest assured that assistance will be on the way as soon as we are done with France. We ask that you continue working with the 'British Aristocrats' until such a time that our soldiers can depose of them. Rest assured Mr. Marx, that when the United Republic is finished; that you will be amply rewarded. We support your cause.'

If you're just kind of pulling stuff out of your butt with that letter for a justified declaration of war I imagine that it does matter. That is a pretty substantial claim to be making and while I generally don't want to get involved on the bickering here I think it should be clarified.

Edit: It isn't fake? Can Prussia confirm they made it?

All I'm going to say on the matter is to ask Russia and Prussia. Russia is the one who told me about it.

Actually, we had a secret alliance for the specific purpose of staving off Otto if either of us ended up at war with Prussia.

Outcast mentioned something on the first page about secret alliances, so presumably, they're a legitimate cause for war.

That is pretty much what I thought. I don't see any reason why such a letter would be sent in the first place, why bother trying to provoke the British when we knew they'd end up winning the 'rebellion' in the first place. I want to know more about this, he's claiming Russia told him.

In either case, Pasta seems to be claiming that the Marxists and Irish would not want to revolt any more on account of Prussia having sent them words of support. Which... just, doesn't make sense on a logical level. They're receiving support from someone, so naturally they have a burning desire to go to war against them?

@Ampharos: Secret alliances need to be shared with Outcast. If you told Outcast about it, then it's legitimate.
