One idea may be as a crew member of another vessel who came by to investigate the colony before crashing down. Say he is the only surviving member and he's been waiting for rescue. He shows he is capable and maybe Varus could have him assigned to the AD?

Like I said, we have options, but I first need to know what there is to work with.

I don't see why s/he couldn't have just been put on the ship as well, just not really mentioned earlier. Like I mean, I guess it would be a little awkward to shoehorn in, but it'd be a lot easier and make more sense than other options. I mean, as far as I know Varus doesn't just get to straight up pick and choose who goes on the Dawn, and it'd be simplest.

Race Description: Smooth-skinned reptilian humanoids, generally brightly colored. They’re often fanged, with slit-pupils and long tails. Some bear faint bioluminescence in their eyes, markings on their skin, tongues, and etcetera. Their feet are clawed, and thus they don’t bother with shoes.

Character Description: Emlyn is fairly average for his kind. He’s tall, thin, and his skin is a vibrant cyan with two triangular blue marks under either verdant eye. What he lacks in natural extravagance he makes up artificially; he dawns bright, colorful clothing, and his hair is dressed and shaped and dyed. His tail is longer than he is tall, and is surprisingly unadorned with accessories.

Background: When he was young, Emlyn craved what many children crave, attention. He had no aptitude for sports, but he was lucky enough to be born with a decent voice, and so devoted himself to the thespian arts early on. Perhaps that’s where his knack for lying came from, because once it started, it didn’t stop. He was manipulating his peers from the earliest years of schooling without a second thought.
His anchor was with his adopted sister, Serey. She was only a month his younger, but he milked the “protective older sibling” thing as often as he could. She put up with it though, even got into it sometimes, but deep down they both knew that at the end of the day she was protecting him. When he was ignored, or disregarded, she was his standing ovation, and he never really knew how much that mattered.
He was fifteen when she fell ill, sixteen when she died.
Afterwards, he finished his schooling in silence from home, graduated early, and set a course immediately for medical school. For a few months he remained secluded, but before too long the old itch for the spotlight returned.
Now alone in his endeavors, he was forced to fall back on craftier, more manipulative means. He garnered a mass circle of useful people, masqueraded as friends to some, enemies to others. He was whatever he needed to be to whoever he needed to be it to. From this he accumulated a fair amount of blackmailing material, and his rise up the ladder continued at a swift pace. He ruined the education careers of some, and skyrocketed those of others, all according to what suited him at the time, until at last he graduated –quite early at that.
Despite the bit of foul play, he was skilled. He had a firm grasp on diagnosing various diseases and recognizing some symptoms before they could fully present themselves; though his forte was in treating wounds. There were many famous doctors, MD’s, but he couldn’t quite think of any renowned field-medics. Not that he’d really looked but all the same, it was motivation.
He made a minor name for himself among the wounded, usually soldiers, and through means similar to the ones he’d used in school, his name spread around employers, until the hype he’d created for himself landed him on the recruitment list for the Argent Dawn.
Prior to his shipping out, he tried to have his sister removed from his dossier. However, failing that, he made an arrangement that the information be kept confidential between the captain and himself only.
Once that was settled, all that was left was for him to get there, to be in a role where he would matter, and people would know that he mattered.

Personality: If you asked Emlyn who he was, what he was like, you’d get a different answer every time. Once, he’d have bashfully mumbled one or two things, and his sister would have filled in the blanks. Now though, Emlyn isn’t just one person. Not due to some mental disease, but he simply doesn’t have a stable personality; he changes to fit the situation and people presented to him, perhaps “adaptable” fits him well.
There are a few constants; he’s arrogant, haughty, flashy and more than a tad verbose. He holds grudges to immature lengths, lies as if it were in his blood, and at times has flexible loyalty.
Whatever the old him used to be, or could have been has now been reduced to a bundle of reactions, or a few stutters. That, and the small, garishly pink scarf that never seems to leave his neck.

To Gloves: Trust me I know, like I said we have tons of options. My issue would be getting him/her down to the planet for the mission. On the ship is no issue.

Just a question to run by quick. He talked to the Captain about making his sister's death discrete? Is he new or an existing member. Because if he is the later, sure, but the former... He's new they wouldn't have seen each other until he came on board for the first time and he's kinda... indisposed at the moment.

Maybe the Dawn got that their signal cut and in a 1300's Scotland level of awesome-planning went "let's just send another one it'll be fine"

Well, kept discrete as we discussed before. Not wiped off, but buried, and set up before the mission, obviously.

On the Dawn? No, however he could be shipped to it while the others are on their mission.

Ok here is what I can see happening. He can come while the other's are away, But I don't really see Emlyn talking to Varus already. Course, if they meet up he would have no issue doing that. I just don't think it would have happened JUST yet.

Esayo, Rennac never claimed to be the only wetwork agent for the Alliance, just one of the very few who did both the technological aspect and the actual killing. If anyone wants to confirm something with my posts I am more than happy to get questions and such

Ah, sorry. prior to the edit the post read "the equivalent of the Alliance's wetwork agent" rather than "one of the Alliance's wetwork agents". I'll fix my post accordingly.

Ey Ren, are you planning on having the message thing be successful? I mean the communications were all cut I thought, and Teeth and Dres are kinda on pause.

It wouldn't be successful, but he's weighing the two options. He sees trying to break through the jamming and getting Teeth to walk them through the medical procedures needed as a better option than trying to fix up Varus themselves when they have almost zero training or experience beyond slapping a bandage on a gunshot wound. Then again this is coming from a guy who has had basic lifeguard training so I get a tad paranoid about head and spinal injuries given I've had my fair share of having to fish those people out of the pool in one piece.

Sorry about not being around guys. Work has been killer and house life has been worse. After today's day of work I will have time to post a few things.
