Guy sat up and looked at the tree. He knocked on it a few times to check if it was hollow, which it wasn't and started pushing the tree, after a minute or 2 his fist began to bleed, but in the joy and heat of the moment he continued on.

James didn't move. Not to breathe. Not swaying. Not flexing a muscle. As if tensed in battle, awaiting an enemy blow. Then, he woke up, as he realized someone was speaking to him. He sighed mentally, as he started moving his chest muscles, giving the appearance of breath. He'd forgotten to keep doing that while he'd been daydreaming. The sudden movement only put his previous stillness in more contrast, however, as James spent a moment to examine this woman.
An elf. Young, fast learner, magic user. He'd heard there would be a new teacher, although he had been interested only slightly in the details. She'd be a bookworm, paying attention to her studies, not enough attention to her surroundings. No real combat experience, she lacked the hardened edge of a warrior. While he imagined she could possibly be quite dangerous if given the chance, she could easily be killed with a slight poison in her food, or if need be a quick stab to the throat. Furthermore, her footing would be unstable, and she'd be likely to panic if confronted with a real threat to her life. An easy kill, should the need arrive.
"Interesting. I had assumed you would know, miss Freija. My name is James. I am Undead." James makes a mental note to find out where Freija lived, and install failsafes, as he had done with the other teachers in the school - besides Third, who seemed to know about every trick he tried to pull. A trigerable explosive would do,but he'd prefer a gas. Much less messy, and it left the corpse intact.

As aelian rode his white horse he came upon this big school and looked at in amazement. Although he wish he could explore he was accompanied by 4 elven gaurds as the ride as the huge gate open exposing a massvie courtyard he rode to the stable to board his horse and then signaled to the guards that they may return for he was now safe. Aelian was hoping no one saw him for he did not want to be the fancy prince boy getting escorted to this fighting school, although only when introducing him would he ever say prince Aelian just wanted to be normal as he walked to the school yard he hoped to meet who he would be scholling with.

Freija

With a raised eyebrow, Freija noted the man as rather peculiar. There was an eeriness about him, though she couldn't quite place a finger on it. It was definitely worth noting down on paper when she had the time, in a little journal or whatever parchment she could get her hands on in order to add it to her notes, however. The thought wasn't dismissed as easily as she might have done with notes on any other race she'd seen plenty of before. Undead was knew to her, and though it seemed like dangerous ground to tread on, she wanted to learn more about this particular race and how they functioned. She took mental notes, like she always did. Very cold. Very stiff. Very distant. Pupil-less? Something about that tone of voice that came off as unsettling. Calm, formal as required, but distant, as if the thoughts of this man were elsewhere. Very interesting.
"Ah, that's quite interesting. I've never met the Undead before. Nor is it a race I've come to learn much about. Hopefully I might learn some things here at the academy. It's a pleasure, James." she said, masking the curiosity and the burning, insatiable need to ask more with a much lighter tone of voice, though harbouring evident respect already. This didn't seem like a man who she wanted to upset. Not in the slightest. She hesitated before another question left her lips, though his magic presence was too difficult to ignore. It was dark and mysterious, like the rest of him.
"What is it you teach at this school?"

Ornstein emerged from the arena he held his elite classes in. He was setting up weaponry, training dummies and other bits and pieces for the entrance exam to the elite class. Soon enough he had arrived at the gate just late enough to make it fashionable. His golden armour glistened in the hot sunlight as he stepped to look at the new students. A meagre lot, only a few he had spotted that were capable of handling his classes but exceptions have been made before and looks are decieving. He saw James, another teacher across the yard. James was one of the only teachers Ornstein had actually liked mostly because he didn't talk very much. That being said he was a bit paranoid and Ornstein had assumed that if it were ever to come to a fight between them then he had assumed that James would pull some sort of trick or trap on him.

Ornstein stood a few feet away from the entrance whilst holding his Halberd with the head pointing to the sky.

Third had been watching people, teachers, students, one had came not long ago to talk to her, she was the newest teacher here, Freija, she was a young one but she had the potential. after the small exchange she had made her way off towards James, "...she must have a knack for danger..." Third said under her breath as she watched the girl walk away, she hoped James didn't plan on hurting her. It would probably include poison, probably gas...

Third shook her head and looked back to the gate, Ornstein. Ellise had to shield her eyes from the glare coming from his armor, flashy as always...

She sighed contently to herself and turned to look in the courtyard instead, perhaps one of the teachers would need some...incentive, they would usually be a bit...reclusive,.

Before she made her way to find a more withdrawn staff member, a commotion drew her back to the gates, a boy sat on top his horse, surrounded by 4 protective looking men, Ellise immediately though of Azelf, though she didn't know exactly why. She sighed softly, she felt this one may need some help breaking the ice...he had an image already, one that probably didn't want. Though he seemed to immediately find someone to talk to. Ornestein probably wasn't the best choice though... she wondered if they would get along, it could end up quite a dry conversation...

She looked to Isaac and Jargon, she wasn't really apart of the conversation anymore, though ti would still be rude to just walk off, "Please excuse me" she said nodding to both of them with a smile, she had decided to go and indeed find those who needed help getting introduced, she wandered mostly, it seemed quite a few people had found conversation partners already, which made Ellis's smile grow a tad bit. She wandered until she found a boy far off alone, all the way back in the arena, she sighed and made her way quietly behind him, "excuse me...that is the only tree in here, I would prefer you didn't try and kill it like that..."

Guy finished with a ravaging elbow, smashing the bark when he heard thirds request. He turned quickly "oh my god i am so sorry I didn't mean It I was just practicing I'm very sor-" he stopped as he looked at her, he didn't realize but she was a women, and a very pretty one at that. He stepped back feeling intimidated, he was never good with people let alone girls. not to mention she was in front of his trusty spear, thought it was made of weak material and looked to be makeshift it was his pride and joy, and he was guarding it, he had to get it back "m-ma'am. m-my -s-s-spear" he said pointing behind her.

Ornstein looked to the Elf in front of him.
"A Prince? Of the High Forest?" He rhetorically asked. His accent was unknown to most. It was kind of a mix of them all and then more. One could make out he was definetly from the North but pinpointing which race and what country he was from would be hard. For all anyone else knew he could be two halflings on each others shoulders.
"To give in to stereotypes I presume you are good with a bow?" Ornstein waited a second before chuckling slightly to himself
"Sorry, that may have sounded a tad racist to just assume, for all I know you could take an Orc on in a fight and come out with only a gash." He realized he was trailing.
"But In all seriousness what weapon do you prefer, and are you considering taking the elite class?"

Jargon chuckled," hard to forget a person like me, am I right?" He tail remained close around his feet, in an effort not to trip anyone. He then continued," you would be right, it is Jargon." Switching his helmet to his other arm he held out his right hand for a handshake. If Isaac took his hand, it would be a solid mass, the scales pressing into his palms and claws near enough to cut the Isaac's skin. Also, Jargon would have said nice to meet you.

"Indeed it would be" Isaac replied to Jargon, chuckling as he firmly grasped the latter's hand and felt the cold of scales pressing against his own flesh, this did nothing to diminish the fourth years handshake and in fact he saw it as a challenge, letting go only as the dragoid did. Nodding to the Headmistress as she excused herself, Isaac caught a glimpse of Reina entering the courtyard, and wondered if he would have to teach her the lessons of old again this year, he hoped not, she was an attractive girl, and seemed to have her heart in the right place, regardless he would keep an eye on her.....purely for the protection of the first years of course (or so he told himself). Snapping back to the here and now, he looked at Jargon and asked "So, Jargon, what classes are you intending to take this year?" Isaac asked, continuing the conversation

Third followed the boys finger to see a makeshift spear, "Yes, it is indeed a spear...would you like it back?" she said picking it up and offering it to him, she smiled warmly, hoping that the boy didn't feel to pressured, "may I ask your name?"

She was not familiar with this student, not yet at least. She had tried her best to meet most of them already, and better yet remember them, but this one she seemed to have avoided a meeting thus far.

Azelf had followed Third, and was now standing far off behind her with his arms crossed again, he was staring at the boy who had been punching the tree.

He didn't really need to be following third about, but, he felt he should, a summon should always protect their summoner.

Or at least that's what he had drilled into his brain since he was summoned, not by third of course...but, it just sort of happened, it was annoying to just comply with whatever the magical rules are with summons, but it was just as annoying to fight it, and he didn't gain anything from either really...

Jargon smiled as the boys grip didn't relent and he released his hand, looking around. A few elves... An Ork... And an undead... The later two being teachers. By far he was one of the stranger. His tail curled tighter around his feet, not wanting anyone to trip. He quit his gazing when Isaac asked his next question. He said," I'm planning on taking the two elite classes, as well as a few others. I enjoy a challenge." He suddenly stoped, his face crinkling in preperation to sneeze. He pushed Isaac back slightly then covered his nose with his arm and sneezed, fire flicking around his arm yet not catching on fire. He sniffed and said," excuse me, my apologies for pushing you, didn't want to catch you on fire."

guy snatched up his spear and replied with a quiet thank you. He noticed they asked for his name but he didn't want them to laugh so he decided to lie. "my name... is Sebastian ma'am". he noticed the man for to the side his arms crossed and backed away form third, as to not look like he's hitting on her. Who was that he thought as he thought as he looked away realized he was staring at him awkwardly. He sighed, maybe he wasn't cut out for this after all.

Isaac Jumped back, noticing the small flare as the draconic boy pushed him and the latter sneezed into his arm. "Bless you" Isaac chuckled as he got himself up from the ground, dusted himself off and returned to his spot. "That's gotta be a pain in the butt when sick season comes around huh?" Isaac joked. Then, hearing the response to his original question Isaac smirked slightly and observed "Ah, a thrill-seeker I see, well be warned, the elite classes aren't for the faint of heart, and shouldn't be taken lightly, but you look like a strapping young....dragon....man....thing" Isaac wavered, not really sure how to phrase that last sentence, undaunted, he continued. "I'm sure you'll do fine....even with the survival rate as low as it is, besides I'm taking an elite class or two myself, it'll be good to have a familiar face in there" Isaac smiled at the man.

Jargon shrugged," I think I can handle it... Emphasis on think. Unless it involved cold. Then it might cause some difficulty." He then grinned and said," the correct term is dragoid, not dragon man thing." He chuckled, showing some good humor about Isaac's comments. He said," so which elite class you taking?" He raised an eyebrow in curiosity , folding his arms, his scales creating an audible sound as the hit each other.

Rain's heart stopped for a moment as Issac glanced at her. She saw a look in his eye, almost like...resignation? She would show him. She could do it...a whole week without making any of the first-years miserable. She could do it.

As the thought crossed her mind, some miserable wretch tripped in front of her on his way to the first-years line. Rain sneered and grabbed the child by the scruff of the neck, practically wrenching him onto his feet. She glanced back at Issac, and gently brushed him off.

"Loser." she whispered as she smiled beatifically and patted him on the back. "Get back to your ranks, now, k?"

Ellise nodded slowly and followed the boys line of sight as he backed away, Azelf.

"Please don't mind him, he won't hurt you, he wouldn't hurt any of the students...not as long as I can find out about it at least..."

she turned back to the boy and smiled once more, trying to calm him down, "My name is Ellise, though some call me Third" she offered her hand, she wasn't sure yet if this boy knew who she was, but it made it interesting if he didn't

"It's very nice to meet you...Sebastian" she said the name with some level of distinction, should would let the boy decide if he wanted to keep using it, though more then one person in the conversation knew something was off.

Ellise was good with lies.

Azelf saw the boy back away, then he saw the following glance from Third, this was a look he got often, a look that told him to back off a bit.

He shrugged and turned to walk away, it didn't really matter to him where he went, because it wasn't really going to be where he wanted.

As soon as Azelf got back into sight of the main courtyard, he witnessed something that looked off, Rain being nice to a younger.

He stopped and took up his usual stance of crossed arms and stiffened shoulders, he watched as she got the person going and debated on talking to her about it...

He didn't exactly want to warn her or tell her what to do, but it was his job...

He sighed, this was going to be along day...

After thinking it over a minute guy step forward, his shoulder up, and his muscles tight and put a weak grip around hers and shook her hand quickly and backed away bowing "I-it's nice t-to meet you miss t-third" his father had warned him about what was happening, they called it an introduction, he had to make sure not to screw it up "my names not Sebastian... don't laugh but it's guy" he said quietly cringing up a it, he was sure he had gotten off on the wrong foot but was reassured by her smile. he tucked his hands behind his legs, he didn't want to come off as weak, hopefully he didn't get blood on her hand, that would get him kick for sure.

Standing by himself listening to the commotion, Victor made a grimace. It was the same as it had been the years before, of course, but he remembered having been more excited in his first year. Much more, in fact, when he still thought he could measure up to his legacy. Something about the faces of those first year students, the nervous, but excited looks on them, made his heart sink a little. Suppressing a small sigh, he stood up taller in the armor he had taken to wear at all times by now, and put on a happier face, banishing those thoughts for now. Negativity never helped anyone after all, and some people did say things changed for those who are happy! Keeping that in mind, repeating it to himself like a mantra, he walked up to the headmistress - might as well start the new year on a good note - and gave her and the boy she was with a sincere smile. "Hi there, Third. Nice to see you."
