Criminals are dying once again all across the world. The murders all look like typical accidents, but there is too great of a coincidence for that to be the case. The Japanese police suspect that there is a new Kira on the rise. When they went to their database to draw out information on the last Kira, they found that all the information was gone! Someone had gone in and erased everything, leaving the police with nothing. Desperate to stop the murders, the UN sent a letter pleading the world’s greatest detectives to assist in the case.

Okay so I've wanted to do a RP like this for a long time. Basically it's a mass-murder mystery with the use of the Death Note: a notebook given to a human by a shinigami (God of Death). The murderer can kill whomever he/she wishes, as long as he/she knows the target's name and face. The story will play out similar to the anime, with the Japanese police investigating the killer (known as "Kira" because of the English word "killer"). The only difference is that there will be multiple detectives: all of you. Those who join this RP will be the detectives chasing after Kira.

Except for one.

One lucky person will get the role of Kira. He/she will have to kill NPCs and even other players without getting caught. Honestly, this role is probably the most fun. Whoever plays as Kira will pm me what he/she wants to write in his/her Death Note (along with any other things he/she wants to add. i.e: conversations with shinigami, thoughts about the detectives, etc…), and I'll post the entry in the IC so Kira's identity stays a secret. The person who gets this role will have to be creative in how he/she goes about killing of the other players, so they don't suspect him/her. It's up to everyone else to try and get Kira before Kira gets you.

Appearance: Black hair, amber colored eyes, sharp face. Father is French, Mother is Japanese. Wears grey suit with a gold colored tie. A little above average height, and very clean.

Role: Detective

Personality: He's a very conservative young man. He is polite, well manored, and raised to be a gentleman. A wonderful fit for the field of buisness, but he found more of a purpose in detective and police work. He can be a bit of a joker, and likes to try and releave some tention in sarcastic humor. Although when called for, he can hold his own, and be harsh. When pushed he normally let's it simmer, and likes to get even. 'C' pays attention to details; he was trained and has a natural nack for analyizing everything. He's best and studying and the deep thinking work. At times, his deep thinking has caused him to zone out. With his zoning out, he's been known to not always take things too seriously. Even when zoned out, being quite, and etc., don't under estimate him. He likes surprises, and surprising the ones around him. Even in it all, he's professional.

Why he/she took the Kira case: He somewhat thinks it's a bit uncalled for. To 'C', Kira is having a little too much fun killing off people and messing up the natural order. In all truth, he also joined because he wants to know what Kira's secret is. And what Kira's true motives are; he finds it fascinating.

Appearance: Long pin-straight black hair, with bangs. Japanese. Pale. Wears a grey medium length pencil skirt, white ruffle blouse with a color that she normally wears a sapphire ribbon around the collar, and thin black tights. Black flats.

Role: Detective

Personality: She's a shy little woman, who's always been the wallflower. But when she has something to say, she says it. This doesn't mean she's rude though. 'R' was raised strictly with strong disapline. Her face stays mostly pleasent, and keeps calm under pressure while others are watching. Her aniexties do get the best of her at times, and likes to be worrisome. She's a fast learner, sharp, sly, and a great note taker. She was a excellent student, with high test scores and talents. She almost always sits straight, with her legs crossed. Not particually cocky, or flashy. She's a simple woman, who prefers to stay in the shadows.

Why he/she took the Kira case: A policeman she knew since she was a child was killed by Kira. Due to this, she decided she wanted to take her talents for law and justice, restore order, and give back to the policeman who inspired her.

Yeah, this takes place after the first Kira (Light), and the police lost all information about him because their database was wiped

Appearance:

She actually has green eyes. Her hair is indeed died white.

Alias: W

Age: 16

Role: Detective

Personality: Above all she hates boredom and likes attention. She's both playful and blunt in her teasing, not afraid to point out the flaws of others and speak her mind. She doesn't appear to be shy about anything. She rather selfish and doesn't put too much faith in morality, believing that some rules are important such as not murdering or robbing from others, but there's also very good occasions when breaking the rules is the right thing to do, such as when the ends justify the means. When that happens she'd feel no guilt in killing criminals, for example, something that she and Kira admittedly have a lot in common. She enjoys playing games and doesn't mind loosing if the game itself was still fun. In fact she loves game much better if her opponent is able to give her a good challenge. She dislikes dumb or incompetent people unless it's not their fault.

Why he/she took the Kira case: Kira seemed like he or she would be very fun to "play" with and see who would win. She was beginning to get bored with normal criminals not given her enough of a challenge.

Other: She's from the United States but is a major otaku so knows Japanese.

Age: 24

Role: Police Detective

Personality: She's honorable, brave, and likes to take the initiative on things. She'll try to help others as much as possible, even to great risk of herself, which was what compelled her to become a police officer, and later on to stop Kira before he could kill more people, even if they were criminals. She will fight in self defense and to protect others but murder is simply inexcusable. Unfortunately she can be too hard on herself if she fails and tends to overwork others to keep them on the same high standard she sets for herself. She has trouble just laying back and relaxing.

Why he/she took the Kira case: She was assigned to investigate the Kira case on behalf of the British police. She was also personally very interested in this assignment so that she could help stop Kira.

Other: She comes from England. She's trained in martial arts and owns a pistol. She studied Japanese so she could participate in the Kira investigation. She knows enough to get by but struggles to read advanced kanji and her dialogue sounds clearly stilted while speaking the language.

'G' is an extremely cunning and arrogant individual, who often believes that he is able to outsmart and out play anyone who gets in his way. His cockiness, and pride often get in the way of his better judgement, and sometimes make him extremely violent and rude towards those around him. G is an extremely selfish and somewhat cowardly individual, who will often chose to save his own life over that of others, except in extremely rare circumstances. When it comes to risking the lives of others though he is often very risky, and in the means of progress and catching his guy he would be willing to sacrifice anyone and anything.

Why he/she took the Kira case
To put it simply all G wants out of this case is a challenge and something to boost his ego, and the Kira case seemed to do just that. He believes that with his wits, and detective skills over the many years will be extremely advantages, and overall beneficial to the case.

Other
'G' was born in Rome, Italy, and often had to deal with his abusive father who was working with the Mafia at the time. His father was often drunk, and would beat severely both him and his mother, until she committed suicide when he was only 10, leaving him alone with his father. It wasn't until the age of 14 though that his father was finally arrested and one of the police officers took a liking to him, and took him in. The police officer often taught him various detective skills, and did his best to point 'G' in the right path. Once he was 17 he decided to dedicate his life to being able to prevent people like his birth father from roaming the streets, and became a private detective who traveled across Europe taking various cases, and solving different crimes.

Since 'G' is mostly a European private detective his Japaneses is limited to say the least, and will often chose to speak English or Italian, and have a translator talk for him.

Role: Detective

Personality: An ambitious and hardworking young man, though he has a bit of a rude streak. He's quick to point out the flaws of others, and dismissive of other's criticisms of him, however, he can back up his talk with his keen intellect. He absolutely hates resorting to physical violence and will turn to diplomacy or bargaining first, even in hostile environments. However, those that make him cross the line into violence will find find him remarkably unforgiving. This has earned him a reputation that makes those who know of him inclined to take one of his offers sooner rather than later.

Why he/she took the Kira case: Q has already achieved the highest status that solving localized cases can give him. He sees the Kira case as a World Cup of sorts, as a way of challenging his abilities to their utmost and cementing his place in history as one of the greatest detectives of all time. Plus, he just loves a good challenge.

Other: Q is a respectable marksman and has trained in various forms of practical self-defense, but he does not pride himself on his athleticism. He enjoys playing games of strategy, including Chess, Go, and Poker, and can often be seen playing games against himself, since it is so difficult for him to find a decent opponent.

Personality: Z is all out, over the top and annoying, but he is very good at his job. He assumes that he is smarter then anyone else, but unless he is challenged by someone the assumption is usually right. Z is held in high regard by the police in his area, but is usually the last to be called due to being arrogant. (I will build character as we go)

Why he/she took the Kira case: Z took the Kira case for personal matters, that he doesn't like to talk about. Only the select few and trusted know why.

Other: Z Is always reading something. Even when he is talking or on a case he is reading.
